Chez Delmo first opened in 1934. Today, the restaurant remains in hommage to the original owners Delisle and Morissette (Delmo) and continues to be a favourite for regulars and visitors alike.
Just minutes away from the Notre Dame Basilica in the Old Port, Chez Delmo continues to serve fresh and premium quality seafood prepared in a traditional French style combined with a modern flair. The house specialty is the Dover Sole meunière and the classic tomato cream soup which have been virtually unchanged for decades.

The service was as good as the food. One of the best Clam Chowder ever! Good and buttery. My Walleye was to die for. Cooked to perfection. Great wine selection and to top it off I had fresh Strawberries and cream. My wife had the Lobster Roll and tomato soup with chocolate mousse for desert. Every-bit as good as my selection. Have been here before and will come back. The best seafood in Montreal, maybe Canada!

First of all, they gave us a good seating. We appreciate they really trying to accommodate us. The food we ordered were recommended by the owner. The ingredients they use were the best quality. So fresh and tasty! Thank you so much for your good work!

Had a delicious dinner served in a professional, yet relaxed manner. The family that runs the restaurant welcomes guests, and and use gentle humor throughout. All dishes were excellent, with the house speciality Dover sole at the top of the list. A great dining experience.

What a fabulous establishment. The owner greeted me as I entered the restaurant to have me seated. The place is gorgeous, everything tastefully decorated. The seafood was fresh and grilled to perfection. Cesar drink was delicious. The waiter was awesome, I believe he was the owners son. I felt very welcome although I don’t know a word in French. Thank you for a great night!
