This was a great experience here! We enjoyed very much!! The surf and turf was excellent and the grilled shrimp was excellent. The fried seafood platter was the smaller portion and it was very large my mother absolutely loved it. We would definitely go again and try other items everything was delicious even the homemade salad dressing that they had was excellent!
We went there while on vacation. The food and service was excellent!
Great atmosphere! Great music! Great food! Definitely will return for another visit!
The meal was amazing. I had the blackened mixed grill with the mahi Nd it was excellent. My son's friend had the teriyaki chicken and was still talking about it the next day. My son had the crabcakes and they were also amazing as well. Service was wonderful. The kids had many refills of sweet tea and they were never left empty. Highly recommend Chestnut Hill!! It's the one restaurant that is a must on every trip.
Everything was great! I had the shrimpers platter and it was enjoyable as ever.
The seafood was delicious and the service great. Friendly, local little restaurant with a really nice staff. A little pricey, but the seafood was fresh and the cheddar biscuits and muffins were good. Would go back.
Great view with great staff! They were very friendly and the food was delicious. We will be coming back next time we take a beach trip.
My wife and I are from South Carolina and have traveled to the beach area many times. For no particular reason this was our first time dining at chestnut hill, it won't be our last. Staff members were welcoming and the food was delicious.
The food was really good. We had steak and lobster; and both were beautifully done. The wait staff was very nice. However, the place was virtually empty at 7 PM on a Friday night in the middle of the summer!
The tables and set up were more like a diner than a nice restaurant. The menu was mostly just line items. Maybe this was because of the pandemic, but really boring.
It's a shame; the view outside of the water (lake) was really nice, and the food was excellent. Two big suggestions: redecorate inside, and then market yourself! (I am a local and if you need help with marketing, PM me!)
Great service and food. Sat by the window and caught them throwing food into the lake so got a great view of some gators and turtles.
Scallops were perfect as was the flounder. The shrimp were small but delicious. Bacon wrapped scallops appetizer were delicious. Server was excellent and had loads of local recommendations.
Excellent! We will return.
We enjoyed our meal at chestnut hill. It was an excellent meal and we were taken care of by our server. We will be back!
Food was very good. But potatoes I got were 2 small red potatoes. For a 25.00 meal , they could put 3-4 potatoes on that plate. Veggies were good. Chicken was very good. Just needed more potatoes. Salad was also very good.
Nice comfortable quiet dining. Bonus is view of wildlife on the pond. Cloth napkins and classy enough to dress up if you want to for a special occasion. Menu is varied enough that we’ve come to celebrate more than one anniversary on our annual MB vacation.
Thank you for reviewing us and we appreciate your choosing to share you special anniversary dinner with us.
Great place, very consistent. Recommend the Mixed grill, always fresh.
Thank you and we are glad you tried one of our most popular dishes....See you again soon.
Outstanding service, food , and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you again to enjoy another outstanding evening with us.
The only issue was that our server was not wearing a mask. She provided no up front explanation and we grew increasingly uncomfortable. I expressed concern to management and they advised she had a health condition that prevented her from wearing a mask. They offered to switch servers and we accepted, but in this environment I think it was inappropriate to not disclose this before seating us to see if we had concerns.
True old school restaurant ( in a nostalgic good way) with great food and great menu variety . Great place to support during these trying times or anytime
Was really hoping to enjoy a wonderful dinner but sadly it was less than mediocre. The steaks were good however mine was well over cooked. The vegetables were extremely salty and the roasted red potatoes were just potatoes nothing special. I explained to our waitress that this was the worse meal I have had from here. The waitress just kind of brushed off my concerns. Well I will not recommend nor return.
We waited quite a bit to be served. Once we were served, I'll say the staff was friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, the food was amazing!
Our server was professionally delightful. Food was delicious with ample servings. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the small lake outside our window. This is a place we will come to again and again.
Chestnut Hill our favorite place to eat at beach 2020. Food was prepared perfectly. Every thing was delicious. We always pick most favorite and eat there last night. My group chose this. Not to be disappointed either evening. Reservation on time also
One of our favorite places to eat in Myrtle Beach. Food is great. Quick Service. Great view over the pond, with turtles, birds and alligators out back.
Good food excellent service
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely eat there again
We chose this restaurant as our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner, & it did not disappoint. Staff was lovely, environment was excellent.
The food was excellent, service was excellent! Enjoy
Chestnut Hill has an excellent view and the food was delicious. Our server was very friendly and patient with us.
Very nice restaurant! Watched an alligator swimming outside the window. The food was delicious and the staff was superb! I'm a big eater and the portions were plenty for me. I actually got a to go box which rarely happens. I loved this place and will definitely be a regular when I come back to Myrtle Beach!
The food was excellent! We had a quiet delightful experience that was punctuated by the alligator swimming outside in the pond, a true Southern experience!
The food was great for lunch and service excellent try the shrimp bowl you won’t be disappointed
The fries and the burgers were delicious
We visit Myrtle Beach yearly and this is an all time favorite.
We love sitting near the window and watching the alligators that are in the water while we dine.
Top quality seafood, excellent service from a diverse group of individuals, great price for the level of food quality and service, dining room view over looks a small body of water with a turtle hang out spot, we ate at Ruths Chris two days later and the bill at Chesnut Hill was half and the food quality and service was slightly better. If you are looking for a fine dining experience while visiting Myrtle Beach, give Chestnut Hill a try. You will not be disappointed.
What a wonderful dining experience! We had reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. The staff wore masks and gloves and social distancing was observed throughout the restaurant. We felt safe eating inside the building. Our food was delicious and portions were not skimpy. Our server, Frank, explained the eco-friendly restaurant from beautiful wood beams to items on the menu. We had lobster tails and filet mignon medallions. They were cooked perfectly! Frank was extremely attentive and made the experience fun! We highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to ask for Frank for your server when you arrive. He will take good care of you.
We have eaten here during vacation for many years. This year, it just wasn’t that great. I hope it was due to the pandemic and next year it is better. If not, we will find someplace else to go.
Thank you for a great evening. We did appreciate being put in a part of the dining room where we were pretty much secluded during this pandemic time. Also enjoyed watching the two alligators.
Chestnut Hill has been one of my family’s favorite places! This last trip did not disappoint! The food was amazing as was our service. The owner’s attention to following Covid protocol made us feel comfortable.
We were the only ones in the restaurant. Due to Covid the Sunday Brunch buffet was closed but we were happy to order ala cart.
Two of us ordered the Belgian waffles, two of us ordered the teriyaki chicken and I ordered the chicken salad.
The restaurant served pita chips and pimento cheese as a free appetizer and it was tasty!
The food had large portions and we had plenty of leftovers for home.
The family’s favorite part was watching the alligators and turtles! It was like visiting a zoo dinner show!
Everything about it was great. Our server was amazing, we even told the manager how incredible it was when he popped by the table. Our food was delicious, generous portion and the filet my girlfriend got was truly one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Don’t hesitate to try this place and head outside to see all the turtles and alligators after dinner!
The food is good but not as good as the food at their sister restaurant The Chesapeake House. It would be nice if they offered different sides from which to choose.
