Made a reservation to avoid having to wait an ungodly amount of time to be seated and served, still had to wait and ungodly amount of time and ended up ultimately leaving because we had waited so long. We were running a bit late but called well before our reservation time - which they have a 15 minute grace period for and we arrived within that window. We watched countless parties get seated before us that arrived after us. Parties of 2 all the way to parties of 8+ . Unprofessional, unkempt, i don’t want everyone’s breathe and stench in my face walking in and out because there’s no room for people waiting to be seated. will not be trying this a second time. Horrible experience for a “highly rated restaurant”.

The food is always good as is the service, however, it is way too noisy to even carry on a decent conversation at your own table. It has always been like this, and I don’t know why they don’t do anything about it. They have speakers for the music, however, you can’t even hear the music over everyone talking!

I ordered chicken Parmesan as I have had it before but this time chicken was overcooked. The sauce and cheese on top was excellent however so that saved it from being a total disappointment

Very mediocre restaurant. The portions are large but drowned in sauce the quality of the food was not impressive. Typical lousy chain type food. I didn't expect much in Utica I was correct.

We had an overall good experience. Our server, Mia was great. The greens were very good. The gnocchi were pretty good - a little heavy with an unusual pairing of sun dried tomatoes, Brussels sprouts and blue cheese, and they were swimming in butter. The chicken riggies were good and had the classic flavors. However, the chicken was over cooked.

Food was good, but from sit to finish it took 2 hours to get our food and eat! The waitress didn’t check on us and we had to beg for the check to go. Definitely recommend the food but make sure you have time to wait!

2 hours to get our food. They said the kitchen was backed up but the table next to us got their food before we did even though the arrived after us. We were told our food would be right up multiple times but it didn't come until we threatened to walk out. When it finally came it wasn't that good. Just a bad experience all around.

They placed our group of 6 in a back room lined with brick. They placed another birthday party group in the same room. It was VERY loud. They should only use this room for a single party. The greens are not great. 3 of us ordered the same dish with slight variations. None of them were correct.

Being my wife's birthday, I requested a lit candle on our dessert using the reservation form special request box. The servers were attentive enough to have read and understood the request. The "candle" turned out to be quite spectacular--a sparkling torch-like flame 2 feet long. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. Our server presented it so professionally and confidently that we were not concerned in the least for our pyrotechnic safety. Also, the noise level was high enough that we decided to skip out for another restaurant. When we explained that to the hostess, she offered a quieter, semi-private room for us to dine in and celebrate the birthday. We changed our mind, and had a delightful meal and dessert in a much quieter setting. The food was excellent. The servers were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and were willing to make substitutions. The dessert under the "candle" was the flourless chocolate cake--excellent as well.

We went for Mother’s day dinner with the family. Calamari was extremely tough, hardly touted it. No questions asked by our server. Chicken was extremely tough, It was noticed by our server, but replacement salad was unacceptable as our server did not listen to the request. Bill was split by 2 people and server charged full amount plus half to one card. A call was made for correction, but no call back. Extremely loud, beautiful place but definitely not intimate. Will not return.

Made reservations weeks in advance for 7:15pm for after a graduation. We didn’t get seated until nearly 7:40pm after being told we were going to be sat several times. While we waited, we attempted to order a drink at the bar. This took nearly 15 mins before a bartender even acknowledged us. Once we sat, we submitted an appetizer that arrived at 8:30pm. We did not have any service or the ability to at least submit our meals while we waited for the appetizers. Overall, the service was very poor. Nice workers, but very disappointing way to celebrate the special occasion I informed them about weeks prior when I made the reservation.

Went with my family of 4 in a Friday evening, we were able to be seated right away. Drinks and appetizer cane right out followed by delicious bread. I had the Haddock Balsamico- amazing!! My husband had the Steak Morrell which he said was also fantastic. The kids had spaghetti & meatball and a kids pizza. Great portions, service and presentation!

We started eating here during travels between Albany and points west. We’ve always loved the food and service. This visit did not disappoint! The service is outstanding. We really appreciated our attentive server Grace. The entire staff seems well trained and capable. The food and wine selections are impressive. We started with our usual, one of the hallmark dishes, Greens Morelle, sometimes known as Utica Greens. So delicious! We also had the meatballs and ricotta appetizer. Wow! The meatballs and sauce were amazing, and the ricotta was astonishing. Dinners of Chicken Riggies and Chicken Salvatore were excellent. I could go on and on. Ultimately I’ll say this - we love Chesterfield’s Tavolo. So much so that we actually drove there from Albany for our anniversary dinner. And we are happy that we did!
