Che Fico, is a California Italian restaurant from Chefs David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer in San Francisco's NOPA neighborhood. The food focuses on Italian cuisine through the lens of California. It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region, and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat, and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” We also offer a tasty Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The beverage program focuses heavily on both Italian and Californian wines with a cocktail program that utilizes a variety of spirits, amaros, and seasonal ingredients. Che Fico is a place to gather with friends, family or a date night and enjoy warm hospitality, food, and drink, through an approachable menu and convivial ambiance.

Meh. Delicious, but rather soulless Italian served in a beautiful space. Serve was perfunctory and borderline unfriendly. Wine list is predictably overpriced with not enough California options. A spendy, trendy Italian spot.

There were three of us, and it was a birthday celebration for my wife. The dishes were touted to be shared “family style” by the wait staff, so we ordered as such, since that was what our expectations were. What we got were small, individually portioned dishes that were outrageously expensive, not really meant for sharing family style unless you are dividing everything up into a few bites each. For drinks, the birthday girl ordered a glass of wine, I, a N/A beer, and sister-in-law, a soda. For appetizers, we ordered the Foccacia that we split; it was very good. We also ordered the Mozzarella Fresca which was just a flat lump of tasteless cheese in olive oil (don't recommend), and one serving of the Tomato Salad which was probably the best thing we had, but again, we were expecting a “family style” size dish, and it was really a single serving portion since it came with one-half of an heirloom beefsteak tomato, and a few other smaller tomatoes and tiny, thinly sliced cucumbers and basil sprinkled around. We split it up between us; the few bites were seasoned very well, though, and tasty. For our main course we ordered two items to share, a Margherita pizza that had a thin, limp crust, and thick red sauce with a few dollops of mozzarella that wasn't anything special regarding taste, but at least it was big enough to serve three people with leftovers. We also tried sharing the Tagliatelle al Ragu, that again was really an individually sized dish that we awkwardly cut up into thirds. The Tagliatelle tasted good for the few bites I had. We ordered Tiramisu for desert, two servings, and it was very good. Overall, for $270 including tax, tip, and benefits offset surcharge, for three people, mediocre is what I'd call the food for really expensive, puny portions. Knowing what I know, if I had the money and the desire to go there again, I'd just order a salad for each person, and a pizza.

Went here for my birthday & this place did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious! From the soft and fluffy homemade focaccia bread with fresh whipped mascarpone & puglian olive oil, to the seasonal salad, Piselli Primaverile. We tried two different pastas, the Gemelli Al Pesto and the Agnolotti Del Plin & the Roasted Rockfish for a nice protein! Don't skip the dessert! we had a perfect slice of Tiramisu that was so tasty!! oh yeah, the Pomona mocktails were excellent too! chefs kiss!! we will definitely be back!! 🥳💖😋

Great food, beautiful space, warm, friendly and attentive service. My dining group of five celebrated a birthday brunch and everyone enjoyed the experience. Incredibly patient staff as one friend was running late. My one comment, which is rather odd, the lav is dimly lit. I like a bright lavatory!

As usual a terrific time was had by all! LOVE Che Fico for the the food, drinks, service and ambiance. It never disappoints!

100%. Firing on all cylinders. Four of us ordered one item from each menu category and it was a feast. Can't forget the pea salad or the buddino dessert Thanks!

Super fun and lively vibe. Some of the food was hit or miss (polenta not great but Pizza and pasta amazing!) but overall it was a lovely dinner and night out!
