Enjoyable with my son.
Looking forward to an anniversary dinner with friends on our vacation. Wanted to change time of our reservation, left two messages and no one called or answered the phone. Our concierge had the same issue. Hostess was lovely. Our server was disinterested and absent, never cleared our plates or asked if we wanted more drinks. Our food was lackluster. Salami was 4 slices of three different meats, no olives, bread or accoutrements. Bolognese sauce was extremely salty. The "special" veal chop was served rare, sent back to recook and it was returned correct temperature but it was tough. Not a prime cut of meat. Reviews here have been mixed and now I know why. Many other choices, such as Coquetta which was wonderful.
The food was soooo good! Highly recommend the agnolotti. And the wine was amazing too!
After waiting for months to get a decent reservation, the atmosphere and clientele was not as expected. It was pretty loud and the whole experience seemed over hyped for what you get.

Good food, good service but I'll probably never go back. Why? Because the noise level is way way too loud, and we dined were there early. Even though we wanted to stay and have dessert, the noise was ear-splitting so we left. Tables too close to each other made things worse; we could hear the entire conversation of the tables on either side of us. And then on top of the general noise level from their open kitchen, concrete floor, etc., the restaurant plays extremely loud music. I even took out my hearing aide but it didn't help.
The pasta was great. We had 3 pizzas and one was great the other two were meh.
The server was great. The portions are very small for the price. The taste of the food is very good. THE KITCHEN SUCKED! From the time we received our pasta to the time our two (actually only one came out) entrees arrived, the time gap was 40 minutes. This is after already being there over an hour. Obviously, they lost our order somewhere. The manager came over and made the usual comments that the food was coming, 15 minutes before the food actually was served. Then, they tried to shove the food onto the table and said to eat it after we asked them to cancel the entrees! Empty excuses irritate me. Tell me the truth and don’t insult my intelligence. We told the manager we had a play to get to. She told us we should have let them know...basically blaming us for their slow kitchen. We allowed two hours for dinner! Would we return? After the way we were treated, NO. Lots of hype and they don’t know how to handle a simple problem. SF is a foodie town and there are lots of far superior restaurants that appreciate our business. They still charged us for everything but we 4 small cookies to go.........
The best! This was an amazing meal. We tried the market salad, the suppli, the mafaldine with pesto, the porchetta, and the crostata. Every bite was so delicious -- so perfectly executed and seasoned. Great, thoughtful service. I was especially impressed by how well the family-style plates were timed -- often this is not done well, and it was perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Best food in town! Che Fico never disappoints. The pizza's are phenomenal, the salads are unbelievably delicious, and the pastas are so unique and different, like nothing I've ever tasted. It's really hard to get a reservation here but it's worth it!
Very very noisy. We had to wait outside in line even with a reservation. Portion size was very small with a high price tag. All in all we won’t be returning.
I have eaten here several times over the past 6 months. My most recent visit unfortunately was somewhat disappointing. Although the foodwas good, it was more bland and less flavourful than in the past. Pastas were served warm rather than hot. I ordered a wine from their provided list only to be told that they no longer have it. I asked to speak with the sommelier to make another selection and she seemed put off having to speak with me and mostly gave me attitude. Overall, very mediocre experience. I suspect, like some restaurants in SF, Che Fico thinks it no longer has to go the extra mile for it's customers. Most unfortunate.
Could not change reservation to an early time with the restaurant even when trying to contact them through phone and email 2 weeks prior to the reservation date. I only received a response 4 hours before my reservation time.

Want to give a shoutout for my waiter Daniel -- whenever I travel away from SF I realize at what a high bar our restaurant service staff operate at, and he topped out this standard with care, knowledge, and assistance. Food and drinks were great again.
If I were writing this for the last time I visited Che Fico, I’d be giving 5 stars. I liked everything I ate that time so much I knew I’d be back. (It’s been so long since I went last that I don’t remember exactly what I ate, unfortunately, but i promise it was amazing.) But their menu is seasonal (a good thing, guarantees fresh ingredients), and this second visit was not as satisfying. I wasn’t a fan of the bigoli with pancetta or the warm Romano beans, and the tagliatelle with bolognese didn’t stand out either. The heirloom tomato salad was amazing though — if you looked up a definition for the phrase “bursting with flavor,” there would be a picture of that dish.
Basically, check the menu before you make a reservation if you can. Seems to be hit or miss depending on the season.

Second time here, first time sitting High Top -- it's such a great experience. Of course, first time booth seating was more comfortable but for the two of us, the High Top was just fine. The menu is focused and delicious. Utilize your waitstaff to provide insight and recommendations. Overall, really enjoyed Che Fico & will continue going there for special occasions.

Food was fantastic, service was overly slow, over 30 minutes to take our order and about an hour until we got our first plate.
Incredible food, innovative drinks, attentive front desk staff.
Some of the waitstaff seemed inauthentic, frustrated, and lacking some skillset.

They were out of Pizzas and the entree I was going to order. My chicken was under cooked.
Loved the location. Loved the seats we had at the bar. Loved the appetizers and the salad. Did not love my entrée (but that is my fault - I ordered the wrong thing). It took more than half an hour to get MY entrée. Then we waited at least another half an hour to get my husband's. That is completely outrageous! I was finished eating by the time his entrée arrived. That said, my husband loved his food. I have never been to a restaurant that didn't bring our entree's out together. But, at least we were comped some wine and a dessert. I will go back and try it again. And it was a special occasion....it was my birthday. I chose that place to celebrate.

Literally everything we eat was delicious! We sat at the counter and watched all the food being prepped and served. Our mouths were watering at each and every dish.
Snagged a reservation for a friends birthday. We had all wanted to try this place due to the hype. However we all found this spot to be far too disappointing to make the trek across town. First of all our server popped in, stated that we needed to order everything at once, could not stagger dishes. We let her know that we were a hungry bunch of ladies that evening and she discouraged us from ordering more. She explained that all the dishes were family style and that we would have plenty of food. What she should have said was family style tapas. Shortly after ordering, she came back to the table and said that they were out of the octopus. A minor disappointment but she said that without it we had plenty of food. First came the appetizer, one of their risotto balls. We each ordered one, and they were delicious. Next up the family style dishes. First was the tomato salad. Mushy tomatoes ( there's nothing worse) and a portion for a single person. I guess it was family style because there were three large croutons and three slices of tomato. When one of us in the party explained to the waitress that the croutons were very hard and difficult to eat like a lady, she never returned. Apparently they are not used to asking diners how the food is and having anything other than compliments. The parade of very small pasta dishes, and a personal pizza followed. They were all very tasty, just not enough food for the price. The server never returned, rather sent over a young lady , we presume was a manager. The manager really saved the day, by at least listening to us, and offering to make some more food. Our original server brought us the bill to sign and forgot the pen. Really? Again the manager had to come over with a pen. If you like to eat like a bird and pay high price, this is the place for you.
