I went there for my birthday celebration on 08/15. Our seat was by the window, looking at the bridge. The service was excellent. The host was super nice. We really enjoyed the food and the view. Thank you for making my day special.

We enjoyed Chaya B. before the Lady Gaga concert. Service was excellent, two people came over to wish my wife happy birthday which I listed on the reservation. They gave us a nice window table with a great view. The Tako Tacos and Fresh Salmon Spring rolls were great flavor filled starters. My Black Cod was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious; the Mussells were tasty (although my spouse was hoping they would have been the larger style). The dessert (chocolate Crosissant Bread pudding) was absolutely out of this world and they added a cute birthday touch as well.

What a delightful evening! From the moment we walked in & greeted so warmly to the authentic connection with our waiter, Hunter! The service was impeccable, food delicious, & treated like royalty, who wouldn't love this place?!!!

We had a lovely window seat with a view of the bay and the bridge on a perfectly clear birthday day. Service was attentive, and the food was both delicious and interesting.

We were so impressed with the quality of service and our delicious meal at Chaya Brasserie. Our server, Hunter, could not have been more attentive and helpful. The sushi was so fresh and creative!! The decadent desserts were simply divine! My entree included fresh fish and pasta- both cooked to perfection. Portions were generous and overall a top notch experience!

As always Chaya was great and the staff was always super friendly! Just breaking some cash with their bartender to have enough for tips was nice. Always want to spread the tips around because everyone is so nice from the hostess taking my jacket to my server!

Service was really bad. Messed up my order, my clients had to wait for me to get an entree. Follow up when you didn't want it. Brought no ketchup nor mustard for the burger. Client wait 10 minutes for that. Weird menu unless you eat sushi.

This was our first time to the restaurant and we chose this as it was recommended by a friend. Overall experience was good but little disappointed we they knew we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and the dessert was not offered on the house. Most good restaurants do that and it would have been a nice gesture.

I went here based on a review I saw in the program "Check Please Bay Area". It was a big let down. The food was average we had to wait for our table despite booking it and the prices were simply too much. Even the waterfront view was wasted owing to dredging or construction. The view wasn't their fault but the waiting and prices offset against, average food and service were. I don't care about your rent and overheads but they must be why everything was over priced. I won't go back and I can't recommend it.

Great place to sit outside, if tables are available, enjoy an appetizer or drink al fresco and watch the light show on the Bay Bridge. Menu is limited for entree's, happy hour specials good. Second visit to restaurant, first visit a year ago was much more memorable.

Excellent California - Japanese hybrid cuisine. Very fresh fish and other ingredients. Unique in offering excellent sushi / sashimi selections and small number of excellent California apps and entrees. Neither suffers and both are served in dining room with spectacular view of Bay Bridge and the bay.

Good food. Great price. Beautiful view. We asked for a window seat and was seated right in the front and got a full view of the beautiful bridge with the animated lights as the night came. Overall, quiet ambience. Was with friends for a girls night out. Food was good. Just enough for us. Drinks were decent price. We were all happy with the bill, not too pricey. Just enough.

We both ordered a panko crusted sole. I normally lightly salt my food if at all; my wife is the opposite and uses much more salt than I do. I thought the sauce was too salty, and surprisingly, so did she. The other dishes were good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hostess, Denise, was TERRIFIC!!! She was very warm, friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

While server, Hunter, was also warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, he was not an attentive server. He explained the menu in detail, took our orders, and then disappeared. When we had an issue with our adult beverages which were not served to us by Hunter, we had to have another employee request his presence.

When our first courses were served to us by someone other than Hunter, it was Denise who later stopped by our table to check on us. She had Hunter return to our table to address our issue.

After our main courses, Hunter never stopped by to see whether or not everything was being enjoyed. In our opinion, shortly after any course has been served, someone should stop by to make sure all is to the satisfaction of each guest.

The food is very fresh and inventive. The oysters of the day were delicious as was the salmon roll. Unfortunately, the special fois gras parfait was overpowered by the overly sweet topping, and the San Francisco sushi roll was filled with a mushy minced shrimp/crab salad.

The salmon on beans was very good, but the vegetable pot-au-feu had less broth than expected and was over salted.

The croissant bread pudding and berry tart were delicious desserts. The chocolate cake with the cream cheese filling was unexciting.

The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, has a very nice, warm feel, and is a comfortable space in which to enjoy a meal.

A business lunch that was a little more relaxed on a Friday. The service was great, the food was very tasty and I think for a business lunch the value was very good. The location is fantastic and if you sit outside or facing/near the large windows the views are awesome of the bay.

You get treated to a wonderful Bay view looking east to the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. The fries with that mustard dip are reason enough to visit this establishment but if you save a little space--- the desserts will not disappoint.
