   The restaurant had a disconnect with OpenTable. I searched for "brunch" and Chase Club came up. However, we discovered when we arrived that they only serve lunch; brunch is served at The Preston. The Preston never came up in my OpenTable searches. We decided to stay at The Chase Club and we were so glad we did. Our server was wonderfully friendly and accommodating to our party of 8. We started with the pretzel appetizers. These were fresh and warm. Why can't other restaurants get these right? My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the basil tomato soup and grilled cheese. The bowl of soup was large, warm and delicious. Everyone else ordered burgers, wings, flat bread or Reubens. They all thought it was excellent. The good news/bad news on this place is the crowd. There was none. Aside from one other table, we were it. Good news: no waiting, excellent food, great service and quiet - a hidden gem. Granted, we were there early (11:45am Sunday). But if you want a little more action around you it might not fit. I still say it's still worth a try.

   We've been going to the Chase Club for years to see bands and dance. While I appreciate that we can now reserve tables, our server was terrible. Our group of 7 wound up ordering most of our drinks at the bar (where the service was great and the drinks were ok). The band (New Crime Theatre) was awesome, and it's such a beautiful space. I hope they can step up the service and drink quality in the near future.

   Food was okay, drinks were good but service was awful… the waitress never took our finished plates out… we ended up with our table filled with dirty dishes and nobody from the staff cared about that.

    It was an early dinner, so the place was not very crowded, therefore, the noise was not bad at all. Our server, Greg, was extremely attentive, but not in our business. The food was really good. Everything from the duck and grits to the flatbreads were wonderful. All in all a great evening.

    The menu is different than what is posted. The Poke appetizer was excellent and the star of the meal. The salads are large enough for two or as a meal itself. The short ribs were very good and the polenta that it was on was delicious. Wish there was more polenta! The cioppino was full of seafood, but the broth itself was watery and could use a little more flavor. while the ambience doesn’t match the food, the fact that there’s live music for dancing was enjoyable. We ate there six months ago and was disappointed. A recent meal was much better.

    The Chase Club is such a fantastic experience each time we've visited. The vintage room, beautiful bar, first class service (shout out to Greg, Camille, Kanok and Isabel for taking great care of us as usual), and wonderful food (the red bird is our fav and big enough to share).     We looked at menu online and were so excited. When we arrived we were told the reason it was a completely different menu is because it recently changed and hadn’t been updated online. The options were far less desirable. No steak or good fish options. We stayed because we were there on NYE and knew limited options and had other evening plans. When food arrived, it was completely disappointing. The pasta dishes looked as though they had been sitting far too long. Short ribs were just ok. Polenta and broccolini were good, but barely enough. Drinks were good. Additionally, staff didn’t seem to understand what was happening as 3 different times they tried to give us other peoples order. Ambiance of the Chase itself is stunning. The Chase Club was super bright on NYE with very few tables. No mood lighting whatsoever. Artwork was very fun and eclectic. Thank goodness we had good friends with us to laugh at the terrible experience.

    We had reservations at 7:30. Arrived on time and the place was maybe at 10% capacity. By 8:05 we still had no drinks and so we left. Will not return again. We used to go here all the time but service is zero.

    Nice menu to include items for everyone, including gluten free and vegetarian options. Great and attentive staff, live music, wonderful outdoor patio with a fireplace, amazing Art Deco decor, and awesome cocktails.     Food was quite good but they were out of about 6 different tap beers. The disappointing thing was the atmosphere. It could be awesome with a few adjustments. The music was loud and acoustics were so bad, we sat in the back area, which could be cozy, but despite the interesting paint and light fixtures…. It was way to bright, and the seating was out of place. They could use a few booths or snugs…The art on the walls was awkward and what art there was, had been hung about 3 ft. Too high. We ate and left. Had some nice cocktails at Brennans a few block away.

    This was a complete and total disappointment. The “Bavarian pretzels & cheese” on the menu were just a couple pretzel rolls and some nacho sauce. The ahi tuna looked grey, the cheeseburger was overdone, the Brussels sprouts were drenched in oil. Potatoes Ai gratin seemed to come from Swanson’s TV dinner. Server never offered specials - we only overheard a different server telling another table. No excuse for not lighting the fireplace at dusk. I generally love a good hotel burger but this was overpriced and plain awful.

    Fast service, high quality food (especially the Muny salad). A nice choice before going to the movies at the Chase. It is, however, too loud for dining when the bar performer begins his or her set.

    Friends/Associates from 5 states got together for dinner while in town for the US Chess Championships. We all enjoyed our meals. The lamb lollipops and the ravioli were particularly good.

    Small but solid menu. Lamb lollipops and calamari were really good. Variety of main courses at the table and everyone enjoyed their dishes. I had the pork belly mac & cheese and it might have been the best mac & cheese anywhere! Service was really good all night. A duo was playing in the Club (Joe Metzka duo - awesome!) so the place got pretty busy. All throughout the service was spot on. The Chase is such a classic!

    The food was okay. Salad was a bit dry. And would’ve asked for more dressing, but the service was very slow. And the server seemed less interested in waiting on my table. The manager had to check on us because it was at least 15-20 between each time she would check in. I gave a huge tip just based on the fact that I serve and understand that we have our days. But she just grabbed it out of my hand, just walked away. No thank you.. just a dry look and walked away. Other than that, the steak was great. I must’ve hit happy hour because it was a group of people screaming near the bar. Yes, we probably weren’t going to be a high tab, but I seemed to expect more. Might consider another time if I don’t get the same server.

    Service was great and very attentive despite being short staffed that evening. The food itself (burger and fries and my date had the impossible burger) was fairly bland unfortunately for the price point it was at. Still ‘good’ enough to eat , but nothing memorable for flavor. The Medium burger came out a bit past medium well, which may have had something to do with making its texture more dry.

    Had a late reservation. The manager phoned to ensure my experience was special - and it was. The charcuterie pate was ample for table of 6. Calamari was spicy but yummy. Excellent sized salads. Be sure to specify high table or standard table top.

    We sat on the lovely patio and enjoyed wine and Beyond Burgers with fries. Weather was perfect and so was our service. The only glitch was with looking for beverage menu with the GR code. Needs a reprogram to be user friendly.

    Beautiful setting for dinner. Gregory took great care of us. We shared the halibut steak and the Caesar salad. We thoroughly enjoyed both. My husband wanted to know the chef’s sauce on the halibut and he particularly liked the anchovies garnish on the salad.

    I called to change my reservation from 4 to 5 people on Mother’s Day morning and was given a relatively hard time, so expected it to be busy. We were one of four tables at 11:30, when they opened. Originally, we were seated outside but it was extremely windy. My daughter asked to be moved inside, and again, was given a hard time-“you’d better hope no one else is waiting for those tables.” At the time, only two were taken, and during our lunch, only 4 tables filled. 3 of us had a chicken salad, which was terrible-overcooked chicken consisting of perhaps 1/4 of a breast at most on a bed of dry lettuce w chopped up slices of Swiss sandwich cheese and two small tomatoes—for $23 each. I’ve dined here often for brunch in the past, always pleased, which is why we chose it for Mother’s Day. They apparently stopped serving brunch two days ago. Their food was terrible. Service not good. Customer service-workers just seemed angry to be there. Definitely not worth my $200 bill.
