So disappointed. Made a reservation for 7:45 and were told when we arrived on time that the reservations are not set in stone and that there would be a 10 or 15 minute wait. After 35 minutes at the bar with very bad drinks, I asked again about our table and we were seated almost an hour after our reservation time. The food was very good, but certainly not worth cutting our earlier plans short to get to the restaurant on time only to wait that long. We live here and won’t be back. There are too many other great restaurants for that kind of service!
Suggested by a friend and it did not disappoint. Good food..good view and good service.
They placed us by the window but there was water dripping on our heads immediately. We told the server if we could move but he was so rude and impatient he didn’t even take serious our first request. The servers name was Joshua, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and not get upset but when I tried to ask him again to move us and he said sir I will be right with you I got fed up and just moved myself. I asked for the manager and requested another server. She was much better but for the most part the night was really ruined, you think that because we asked for another server the manager would at least check up on us to make sure we were ok, we didn’t see the manager again!! The food was just ok but nothing special or mind blowing, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody we only came because we were staying at the mansion at Forsyth and they told us this was a great restaurant. My experience didn’t meet anywhere near my expectations. Even though I had a horrible experience I gave a 25% tip on a $120 dinner only because the lady server tried her best to give me and my wife a great customer service experience.
Everything was great except the hostess up front was extremely unfriendly, and ignored the fact that we were standing there waiting on her to tell her we have reservations she just rolled her eyes
Two people in my party ordered the filet mignon and when they came to the table they were both cold. The steaks were sent back and when they came back the second time they were both then overdone and the mashed potatoes on the plate were cold. They also put the steaks back on the wrong plates. We spoke with a manager who in my opinion did not handle the situation properly and was really not apologetic. I will not recommend this restaurant ever, I do not feel like me party and I were treated properly.
Over priced, over crowded tourist trap.
30 minutes after placing my order, waitress informed me they were out of steak (7:00pm on a Saturday).
45 minutes later my entree arrived.
Service was poor, food mediocre, outdoor seating was extremely noisy with tables placed almost on top of each other. Plan for on spending at least $150.00 for 2 as the entrees start at $40 +.
Oh by the way, parking anywhere within in a reasonable walk of this restaurant ranges between $12 - $40 for valet parking. The restaurant does not offer valet parking.
I have eaten at number of other Chart House Restaurants and this one was the most disappointing by far.
Fantastic! Perfect ending to a great weekend in Savannah!
Everything was great as usual! If you have a special occasion this is the place to go! They will print out your special occasion on the menu’s.
Visiting family really wanted steak
Took forever to get service. Ordered dinner 20 minutes later came back and said oh we are out of the trout. Forgot our creamed spinach then got the bill and both the trout and spinach were on the bill. Asked for it to be removed from the bill took 5 times for the bill to get straight. Food had little flavor!
Our anniversary was the occasion. Chart house gave us a card signed by all employees and our menus we’re wrapped up and given to us to remember the occasion.
Food was not as expected, pico de gallo dish was expired
Always a great dining experience. Great views of the river, outstanding service, notable wine list and extensive menu. Can’t go wrong with their beef or fish entrees.
For being one of the highest rated restaurants here I was very shocked by the service/ the ambiance. Our server was very nice however he would disappear from view for 15 min at a time. It took 30 min for our oysters to come out which we ordered right when we sat down. Another server was eating what looked like Pizza and on her phone in the service bar behind our table. It was all quite unsettling. The food itself was delicious. But the service seemed quite hodgepodge. I hope next time we visit the level of service matches the food quality.
Food was terrific. My husband ordered the prime rib and thought it was the best he has had! Our appetizer was delicious. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The hot molten lava chocolate cake was very good and enough for 2 to share. Our waitress, megan, was awesome!
The food was excellent! One of the best meals I have ever had!
To be completely honest did not have high expectations, considering it is part of a chain. However, we were delightfully surprised. The Alaskan King crab was very fresh . We also enjoyed one of the special dishes that were featured and it was wonderful. The only downside was every staff person really wanted everyone to sign up for the Landry’s dining club!
yes, very nice resturant in a great location with great staff.
Had dinner. Was seated near a window which was nice but was directly under the only speaker playing music on the second floor. It was very loud and not music which you would expect for a nice restaurant. When I mentioned how loud it was to the waitress, she said that they could turn it down—but I don’t believe they ever did. Ruined the meal and ambiance. I should have asked for another table, but we were already seated. Hate to pay good money and have dinner ruined by loud ridiculous music—not the pleasant kinds you hear in most restaurants. Food was pretty good. We had the filet and mashed potatoes. Filet was a little over cooked (can be hard to get it right) but the mashed potatoes were just plain cold. Have been here before with better results. This night was not good.
Great food. Waiter was lovely but hopeless. Brought 3 out of 4 appetisers then tried to give us the 4th appetiser 30 minutes later and the wrong meals being brought out along with drinks being given 40 minutes after ordering.
Love the happy hour small plates too
Good job with restaurant week 3 course meal for $30
Nice place with a vieuw on the river. Food was very good
Five ladies for dinner who wanted lots of conversation, excellent food and drinks with great service. We received all of the above for a great price during restaurant week.
Everything was good, waiter was just a little too aggressive
A great fine dining experience. Pricey but definitely worth it!
Service was awful, we were with a child and food took over an hour to come out. Our soup appetizer cam right away, even before our drinks.
Disappointing service. Great food and ambiance. Great bar
and cocktails. Clueless hostess and food wait staff.
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and
Asked to be seated outside. 30 minutes later we had to remind hostess of our reservation. They could not find it.
When we reminded them we wanted to sit outside they said they only seated tables of 4 and our party of 5 could not sit outside. We said we could sit 5 at table of 4 and did so.
We Ordered a bottle of Raymond R Cab and they took 15 minutes to come back and advise it was not available. Ordered another bottle of a different cab and it finally arrived 15 minutes or so later. 2-1/2 hrs. from being seated to completion of our meal. If you have the time and patience to wait the food is delicious!!!
Slow service, limited selection
We have not been to the Chart House is several years and will not be going back. The service was fair. The food was expensive, but average quality. The "large" oysters described by our server were tiny at $2.50 each. Two of the four steaks were not close to being cooked to order and one of the side dishes never arrived.
The three story layout is not convenient. We entered on Bay Street with a mobility challenged guest. The hostess is located on River Street, three flights down as are the restrooms.
There are just too many very good places to eat in Savannah to accept this outcome.
Sat by the water, outside. Great food and service. Surprise to us as it was restaurant week in Savannah.
Food was great but pricey. Server did a great job.
We had an early reservation so we were seated by the windows for a view of the river and all it’s activities. Food and service are both excellent. We will definitely be back.
Yes, BUT I would not recommend it for older people as it is inconsiderate to people over 60.
The Chart House is an awesome place to visit, eat, and enjoy the river while at Savannah.
From start to finish, the dining experience here was one of the best I've ever had.
We always frequent this restaurant when we are in the area. The food is always amazing as is the service. Our server Cameron was very attentive and personable. Again, we will be back!
The service was great. Very attentive staff and friendly. The food was fantastic. Prime rib was the best I have had in ages. Great location to be able to enjoy the river view. All in all a great experience.
What a superb experience. The food was perfect, wine selection was amazing and the service was outstanding.
Mahi was fabulous
