Honestly this is the first and last time i will spend my time in this establishment. The service was really bad. A lot of unnecessary waiting for just drinks (20 min wait) and then the food I ordered came all together for some reason (25 -30 min wait on food). Server never coordinated with the chef with made this experience worst. Caesar salad was alright, steak could of been seasoned and grilled better, and had to wait for grilled shrimp I ordered cause there was a miscommunication from the server. That was best part of the meal. So from the miscommunication, time management and bad service I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Might of been one bad night, but for a first impression, my experience was dead on arrival.
Server name was Neashally.
The server was super busy and couldn’t be as attentive to our table, but was apologetic and very kind. The food wasn’t as good as I’ve gags before. The hostess was very kind about keeping our table even though we were running over 15mins late the other host was not as kind when we showed up late. We had a sleeping baby and they didn’t pay attention to our reservation notes for a baby seat. The table was also next to a very loud table and made chatting difficult. The overall experience has gone down from years past.
Overall I would recommend the Chart House to friends and family
I know holidays are hectic but this was a train wreck experience.
We were seated 3rd floor behind kitchen. It was like we were in the kitchen. When they cooked high heat items we were burning up. We were seated against the window with a beautiful view but the heat from the kitchen was unbearable.
Our server was overwhelmed the whole time: I will not mention her name because I am praying she gets it together. Other servers didn’t not seem bothered.
The food was basic. Presentation was off. I plate better at home. Appetizers were ok. The salads were great. The entrees took over an hour to arrive after appetizers. Clearly the kitchen and kitchen stations were not functioning well. Never once did management acknowledge our experience.
I hadn’t been there in years and I definitely won’t be back. Luckily Philly has so many awesome restaurants.
Our server was the worst we have ever had. Very incompetent and didn’t even know the menu. I had to tell him what desserts were on the menu, never got a bread basket. Tried to serve dinner before we received our salad & soup. Must have put dinner under lamp because when it was brought to us it was dried out and horrible. Waited 10 mins for salt & pepper and didn’t even check on us for drinks/water. Will not be back.
Thanksgiving dinner was great. I wish they had offered an alternative to creamed spinach, it certainly filled up on the rest. Lobster bisque was excellent! If there on Saturday, ask for Marisa - great server!
I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. However for the cost the food was not up to par. The fabulous things were the lobster bisque and the lava cake dessert. My tuna entrée was So so and my wife’s prime rib was tasteless… In her words. We were disappointed overall.
Filet was the best steak I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of steaks! My daughter for the thanksgiving turkey dinner and loved the turkey it was excellent. Server was outstanding.
Staff very professional! Just had to send my food back due to it was too eel down. However. When it came back out it was just right! I was able to cut the steak more easily! Overall, it was very good!
Pro Outstanding Had a 9 person birthday party all the food was great at temperature when served
The waitress was on point, pleasant, and attended to our needs
Con: Waited at least a half-hour before being seated and had get someone to help
But help they did Perfect outing
Our server was very good but the overall service was , to be concise, absolutely too slow. After a 10 to 15 minute wait for initial service contact after we were seated. the rest of the evening was also intolerably slow. The server was amicable and her presentation was without fault but the wait for each portion of our meal up to and including the final coffee and dessert was unacceptable. Our payment was routine and uneventful until the server returned and left us with our receipts . After she said goodnight and left us I was again befuddled because she left me with a pen that didn't work so even our departure was delayed. So, all in all, not in any way enjoyable other than the only saving grace for the evening , thank heavens the food was, as usual, delicious. Bravo for the chef. We have been dining there for many years and will return once again but our memories will always be clouded by the so-so night we just had. Hopefully a one time thing. I suppose time will tell.
The service was outstanding
We really appreciated free Ice cream
And the food was excellent.
We will refer family and friends
The service was excellent; food was awesome; ambience was top-notch. One minor thing - I put in that the reservation was to celebrate a birthday, so I was expecting at least a collective acknowledgment for the birthday person at the table. They asked who was celebrating the birthday when we entered, and the person at the desk wished a HB, but that was it. Not sure why there was a field on the reservation page for "occasion" if there would be no follow through. Maybe they were too busy? But pay attention to these details, as they could make a difference in the guest experience.
Food was very good but somewhat pricy. I felt for the price they could have at least included a small salad.
Me and my girlfriend needed a date night it was amazing I’m thinking about asking her to marry me there
Great setting on the water. Food and service were both excellent. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Wonderful food satisfying service terrific ambiance
I have not been to Chart House since 2007 and sadly it doesn’t look like it has had a refresh since then. The rugs look tired and not cleaned. The paint is falling off the the ceiling and walls.
My wife’s 44 birthday
There was a very loud table near us other than that it was awesome
Excellent value with quality foods. Scenic view
Elegant dining with Excellent views of Local waterway. Fair pricing for a nice night out.
Meal was disappointing. Mostly it was little details. Oysters without crackers or dressing other than cocktail sauce; shrimp cocktail without any lettuce; a fish dish ordered from the gluten free menu that was served with the accompaniment from the standard menu; an uninspiring fish pie. The dessert however was just plain awful: a cobbler trio with no actual cobbler just barely defrosted fruit with ice cream. The waitress was pleasant - she took the cobbler off the bill - but couldn’t make up for the food.
Waited about an hour to be seated and food took 2 hours . Don’t know what fuckery is going on over there . I wasn’t happy
I arrived at my reservation time which was 7:30. We didn’t get a table until 8pm. Our waitress did the best she could under the circumstances but I will still unhappy but I tired to make the best of it. We didn’t get to place our orders until around 8:20pm. Our first drink arrived shortly after. Out appetizer did not arrive until a hour after we placed our order, which was 9:30. Our meal was served around 10pm. We order a second drink around the same time we got our appetizers and that didn’t come until well after 10pm when we were finished our dinner. This was just unacceptable. And If they were short staffed as we were told I would of rather my reservation have been canceled and I could of dined somewhere else for the evening.
So I not a review type of person. I read but never write. Chart House is the equivalent of the 1st pick in the draft who turns out to be a bust. 1st we had a 730 reservation we didn’t get sat until 8:10. And yes we showed up at 7:33pm. 2nd it’s clearly understaffed our server was amazing because it literally was only her and the managers had the nerve to be reprimanded her. She should have rolled her sleeves up and helped. Last we didn’t get our food until 915-920ish. The food was good. But the night was blown.. would I go again? Maybe but they need to fix their staffing issues or take less reservations. Ps it was my dates bday! Blown!!!
The restaurant upstairs was very cold but the food was excellent as always.
Nothing was fresh seafood vegetables NOTHING! I was very disappointed in Chart-house . The presentation wasn’t good. Carol was nice . Back to Steak 48 I go.
Went here to celebrate my birthday. It wasn't crowded. Servers gave honest opinions about meal selections. Everyone was polite & accommodating. The food was delicious. The chef definitely took his/her time on each dish that came out. The plate presentation was beautiful.
Our server (Chris) in the lounge was wonderful. My husband is fussy over his old fashion—hers was on par!!!
Our server was Marissa. Excellent service. Answered all of our questions. Very personable.
great food and service. our waitress was outstanding and really made the dinner an even better experience.
It was our Anniversary and it was just amazing I would love to go again. Food was on point the view was amazing I give it a five star

excellent good atmosphere rich food
The food was amazing! The lobster bisque was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter was really nice too! Even gave some good suggestions on what to get. Really calm & elegant vibe inside. I would definitely recommend come here.
This was my first time at Chart House, decided I wanted to go to a nice restaurant for my birthday. I was not disappointed. The ocean view was gorgeous and the food was simply scrumptious! Our server was lovely. Overall this was a delightful experience.
Waterfront location was great! The food was delicious and our server, Maria, was outstanding!
Thanks for making our Anniversary special. Zaire waited on us and was engaging, funny and overall, he made us feel welcome and we so enjoyed our entire experience.
Excellent food under staff with waiters
