I wanted to come here for my 4th year anniversary but, I decided to come early, I had an award due to expire today so, we had to plan our visit ahead of schedule. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful, no complaints.

Service, Main courses and views of the river were excellent! For dessert part of our party had the house special, the chocolate melt, the other had the Key Lime Pie, The chef was not satisfied with how the house special came out of the oven. He prepared another one, then comped our party for both desserts, as it took extra time. We recommend the Chart House!

We celebrated my daughter’s high school graduation and the Chart House did a fantastic job in accommodating us. The catering manager, Rick, worked with me to create a menu that would satisfy everyone. We were seated by the window so that we could experience the beautiful view while dining. Thank you to our server, Carol and the manager John. We’ll be back soon.

The only good service was the Valet. Table service was very slow. Salad bar use to be spectacular, now it’s simply rotted produce. The sword fish was ok, the King Crab was horrible. When I sent it back the waitress informed that the chef had used the last pieces in an open box and that he would open a fresh box and provide a new order. Now that’s simply insane to say to a customer. Although I was offered a new choice my wife had already completed her meal and we had been there long enough.

What use to be a grand dame of the river front is showing its age and simply can’t compete

It was awful, completely awful, we will never go back. We thought it would be nice to go back for Father’s Day, 25 years after 1st date there, while we were visiting Philadelphia. It’s dirty & out of date. We were put in worst location on top level facing parking lot. Service was slow, waiter came back multiple times to tell us something we ordered 20 min earlier was sold out, then forgot our wine, asparagus, salad was delayed because they were making fresh batch of dressing, & crab claws were brown, dried out & inedible. It was shocking to us they were even served to us that way. We finally asked for the manager after two hours of bad service without receiving our main course. He thankfully was understanding, apologetic, & discounted our bill. It was a horrible night of mistakes & bad food.

The service was awful. We had 6 pm reservations and wasn’t seated until 6:15. After placing the order, the waitress came over a half hour later to tell us one of our orders was unavailable. We placed a new order and waited 1 hour and a half for our food to show up. By then, I was no longer hungry and just wanted to leave.

We arrived on time for our reservation, but still remained waiting for about 20 minutes before being seated. We sat for about 15 more minutes while no server greeted us or offered drinks. Finally a server showed up and asked if anyone had taken any orders for us. We told her no, so she offered to grab our drinks. After that she became our server for our dinner but we had quickly found that she was not the most pleasant person. She was very short with us. Almost seeming like she was not wanting to service us. We kept trying to make friendly attempts to get her in a more positive spirit, but this did not work. We got the Kim Chee calamari for an appetizer. That was wonderful. For entrees we ordered the coconut crunchy shrimp and paneed chicken. It took a rather long time between our appetizers to our entrees. My food almost looked as though it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while due to dry areas on my mashed potatoes. Both were rather small portions for entrees but the overall taste and quality was good. We are big foodies and have been to many food establishments from simple dives and diners all the way to upscale dining. This wasn’t the worst experience, but not my favorite either. It was a fun experience none the less. My favorite part has to be the excellent waterfront views of the Delaware river.

...understand that holidays (Fathers Day) can be difficult for restaurants. Our waiter was excellent and did his best to take care of us. However he could not control the rest of staff. We waited forever to be served our entre; when it finally arrived one meal was cold and returned. Everyone else ate and new entre was served, fairly quickly. Our dessert was “ on the house”. Was an unfortunate visit especially when bringing a guest... We have dined on holidays at other Philadelphia restaurants and have not experienced a problem.

My daughter brought me here for Fathers Day since I like Prime Rib, and it was very disappointing. I ordered medium rare (emphasis on rare) and they brought out an extremely well done piece of meat. I was then told that they only had well done meat. This was at 4 PM on Fathers Day. They offered a sirloin steak that was cooked correctly but was tough and full of gristle. Even more disappointing was the King Crab claws came out brown, over cooked and mushy inside - horrible. Our server was nice enough but the kitchen was a disaster. This place has really tanked since we were last here. We will not waste our time and money in the future

I took my husband and two small children for lunch. We were seated upstairs in the corner by the window. There was a big tube hanging from the ceiling with air blowing out. It was “supposed” to be covered by a trifold divider. The tube somehow moved and dust flew all over our table. The manager moved our seat but took too long to apologize to us for the inconvenience. The temperature was very hot to be a restaurant.
The carpet is dirty, there are old fixtures, dirty floors and the bathrooms were not attended to at all.
It took over 30 minutes for the kids orders to arrive (chicken tenders and fries) and they were fried extremely hard.
I ordered the stuffed shrimp and my husband ordered the filet. We weren’t impressed. This place is a step up from your local chain restaurant.
I only gave this place 2 stars because they took the kids meals off of our bill and the scene outside was very beautiful.

The service was slow, did not have time to get desert in the 2 hours there. There were long waits between courses. Too many apologies and no reduction of charges for poor service.

View is what you pay for. Food was ok, but my baked potato was dry and I had to request that items be refilled on the salad bar. The restaurant needs an overhaul, as much of it was outdated. Wayde the manager made his rounds to the tables to make sure everything was satisfactory.

My wife and I had a great wedding anniversary celebration at chart house. Waiters was top notch. Will recommend this place anytime of the day or week. Food was amazing. Come with a free parking was a plus.

We’ve been to other Chart House locations and loved them. We met friends for what we hoped would be a great dinner, and were so disappointed! The view was amazing, but the service was poor and the food was over cooked, cold and flavorless.

Overall very nice. We went to start celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We took two of our granddaughters for their fine dining experience. The service was very good but things were slow. Slow enough to enjoy but too much waiting. The view of the river is great and the venue is beautiful. A little pricey but the food was excellent so you get what you pay for. Very good for a special occasion.

Waiter was great, salad bar disappointing and very mediocre for the price. Apps were good but Prime Rib extremely dry, over cooked and not edible. The manager did remove it from the bill which was nice. They had an off night obviously

I did not like my table, I believe it was table 101 on the first level not a good view at all, will never sit there again. The salad bar at this restaurant use to be very good, now it is horrible always low on everything. I don’t believe it’s workers just being lazy I feel it’s management just trying to save products and money, it’s really horrible. My husband had the oyster Rockefeller that he loves and the shrimp pasta tasty, I had the paneled chicken that my waiter recommended since I have a shell fish allergy the chicken was very tasty. Our waiter was very good. This is my favorite restaurant for the view, I think it’s overpriced for the portions and quality of food that they serve. They use to have the best butter spread not anymore, 2 little rolls.

I am disappointed & upset. One of the few worse dining experience I ever had. A friend (and their child) and I came to Chart House to celebrate passing of their state boards test, so we were very excited to dine there. We put in an order for bottled water, a crabcake appetizer, a child’s chicken finger entrée, and a pomegranate moijto. We continued to look over the menu to decide our entrée. Our waiter Tye came back over and we told him we were ready to make our order, then he told us that we had to wait because he had to take orders for another table first. Eventually we did put in our order for our entrées. But as we were ordering I didn’t appreciate our waiter’s attitude or condescending tone when I was asking about items on the menu. I thought that was unprofessional and rude. Then I noticed 30 minutes has passed and we still didn’t receive one crab cake appetizer and child entree. Three times our waiter told us our crab cake will be out in 5 mins and on the third time another waitress pass by said, “they didn’t even start the crab cake yet.” So our waiter told us he would be back. That made me realize our waiter either did not put in our order for the crab cake or when they were telling us that it was going to be coming out in five minutes without actually check. Then he came back told us that my friends order of the sword fish entrée, they were no longer available for the night. So we questioned when we ordered the food why didn’t you let us know that there was nothing available and his response was they don’t put in the order for the entrees until table receives their appetizers. By that time we told our waiter we no longer wanted the crabcake. And that we were going to leave. Our waiter asked if you wanted the child’s chicken finger entrée to be box to go. We said no. Despite our bad customer service and dining experience we were told we still had to pay for water. We did explain to the manager, but they were no help and did nothing.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary. Waiter was great. He was knowledgeable and attentive. The host and front staff were rude and unfriendly. Didn't greet or acknowledge us when we left. Seemed to have attitudes and annoyed they had to work. Beautiful view of the the waterfront.

Location, location, location! The advise of a wonderful real estate guy. That’s really all they had. We thought that there would be some great seafood for lunch but instead had a “limited” lunch menu. The food was average if not disappointing. Everything was over priced but considering the location I didn’t mind. The views and waitress were really nice but I really expected much more.

Took my boyfriend for dinner as a surprise for his birthday. The food was fair. Not horrible just not outstanding. Definitely needs to be updated. Very old carpeting and fabric on the chairs.
