Had to wait 40 minutes past my reservation time, the waiter was harried, brought our appetizer before my wine all together not a pleasant experience. Can't recommend it.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our usual standard for Chart House. Service was very slow. Our side mushrooms didn’t show up with our entree. We were told as we were finishing our entrees that they were delivered to another table. After waiting along time to have dishes removed. We requested to have our desserts to go and just get our check. Not the best experience at one of our favorite restaurants.

We came with another couple for my friends birthday . It started nice they had a card at the table for her. Server was nice but it was slow to get our drinks and she brought bread but no plates ? Then when food came 3 of us got our entree but my friends husband didn't get his and server never came to check on us. After 15 or 20 I went and flagged her down to say he didn't have his dinner? She apologized but it still kind of ruined the dinner . No free dessert or anything .,it's pricey and not sure if we will go there next time since so many other choices.

The young lady who opens the door for you was very sweet and welcoming and even wished us a pleasant evening when we left. She makes an excellent first impression for the restaurant and kept smiling even when customers around her were "hangry". The night we ate (Saturday) they were very busy. So busy that folks with a reservation were being seated after their reservation time and walk-ins we being told that eating snacks at the bar was their best bet. When we checked in 15 minutes early the young lady at the desk was a tiny bit dry in the delivery of her "Well, it's going to be closer to your actual reservation time". Understandable because they were busy, but later when another couple went back to the desk asking how much longer the wait would be the warmth that we experienced during the rest of the evening was markedly absent. When the hostess came to seat us past our reservation time she thanked us for our patience which really improved my mood. Our waiter was attentive and polite, the view was amazing (we watched a sea otter eating his dinner as well), and the food and drinks were top notch. The mojito flight was so fun. We both chose the Chart Your Course for dinner (honestly one of the best values in fine dining in Monterey.) I had the lobster bisque to start and between that and the wheat rolls I knew everything was going to be fantastic. The prime rib was tender, moist, well seasoned and exactly the temp we ordered. The au jus was full of flavor and the creamed horseradish was perfectly balanced. The hot chocolate mini lava cake was the perfect ending to the evening. Overall I would highly recommend Chart House for a romantic fine dining experience.

Excellent table with a view of the bay food was excellent serve was excellent . We go to the Chart House at least once a year and we have always had an excellent experience.

Everything was great! The ambiance was great! Our waitress Crystal was quite knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on menu items. We tried everything she recommended and were not disappointed.

We enjoyed the mojito flights. Crab legs were absolutely delicious and so easy to eat with the nice cuts.
