Beautiful restaurant and attentive staff but the food— and my Ahi fish was mediocre at best. The plate seemed to have sat in the kitchen a while. Folks who arrived later than us received their entrees several minutes before we got ours. Once delivered, mine had dried out vegetable, pasty rice, and cooled down fish. My husband enjoyed the steak but the overall food was not excellent. (A chain seafood restaurant in the seafood capital of California… what was I thinking?) When I asked which of the fish offerings were from Monterey Bay…I got a blank stare and told: none of them. Haha! My bad!

Service was outstanding as always, celebrating daughter’s birthday, her first time in. We had a fantastic dining experience, food, drinks and desserts were great! The view of the was a nice touch. Thank you!

Food was great, view was beautiful but the service was awful. Host gave our reservation to someone else right in front of us, when we told her that was our party’s reservation (they called our name) she said sorry we already sat them and then made us wait again. Eventually we got seated but our service was terrible, forgot one of our drinks, forgot one of our silverware and took forever to bring us anything we asked for. My wife and I shared a fork back and forth bc my steak would have been cold by the time she returned with my fork (which never came) she was lovely and attentive to the table next to us and hard spoke to us at all. We did not feel welcomed by any of the staff.

This was our first time here for brunch, and we were not disappointed. Great menu, great service, outstanding view of the Bay. We will definitely be back :)

Nice views if they seat you by the window, the quality of the food was very good but a little overpriced, the service was terrible, the waitress acted like she was annoyed to have to wait on us.

I was there on a date before going to a show in downtown Monterey. We were pressed for time, so we only had the Caesar Salad. One for each of us. No cocktails, no wine, no appetizers, no dessert. We thought that we were going to have more time, but that did not happen. The waitress understood our rush and had the salads on the table in just a couple of minutes. The Chart House Caesar Salad is not really traditional in its presentation. It is served in a cheese bowl; melted cheese flat, then draped over a bowl shape. Their croutons are Parmesan cheese nuggets. The lettuce was traditional Romaine, and there was shredded Parmesan sprinkled throughout. We did not have the offer for fresh black pepper to be ground on the salad either. It was a good salad, but I would have liked to see one that is more traditional, as far as I am familiar. We will come back, however, to take part in a more lengthy dinner with all of the trimmings, when we will have the time to linger and enjoy all that they have to offer; which is a lot. You can't beat the view from the table. Looking out onto the Monterey Bay on a clear Spring evening is really something special.

I had the Chillean Sea Bass over Lobster Risotto and my wife had the Lobster Linguini - it was all outstanding and would readily recommend to all patrons. Very friendly servers and never too rushed to smiile and chat and laugh at my jokes

We were celebrating a special anniversary (45) and our waitress Leslie, with the help of new waiter Raymond, was just lovely. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Nice place. Service was fine. Food was ok, not fantastic. But it was acceptable. Sad the Mac Nut Mahi is removed from menus.

As always, our experience at the Chart House in Monterey was outstanding. Our server William was excellent. Our meals and beverages were delicious ! We appreciated the manager Kerrie making sure my husbands birthday was extra special! Can’t wait to be back again soon.
