We were celebrating our 32nd anniversary. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our dinner extra special. As we approached the table, there was an anniversary card waiting and signed by all the wait team. Each person serving us congratulated us and then we saw we had personalized menus with our name and anniversary date. We were so blessed to have such a warm carry environment to share our special day. Definitely be back!
It was lovely. The food wasn't outstanding, but very good
Our server was phenomenal and food was delicious! Thank you!!!
Once again a very nice experience at the Chart House. Personalized touches recognizing wedding anniversary was appreciated.
I used to like the Charthouse Restaurants. For a while, I may have even loved the Malibu one. However those days are now long gone. We ate at the Marina Del Rey location last night. We ordered the 10 oz prime rib, the coconut fried shrimp and the plank salmon and used an open table reward certificate for a portion of my bill. The quick review: bread was not fresh (Sunday night, but still), prime rib was medium warm, salmon ok, shrimp slightly greasy, mashed potatoes bland, and the creamed spinach vegetable was good. The waiter up-charged the $30 cedar plank salmon to a king salmon without asking us. I complained about the uncharged and was interrogated by the manager. We pointed out that the cedar plank salmon listing on the menu did not offer a “better brand of salmon” and the waiter did not offer that to us. The manager took off the excess charge however we felt that the mediocre meal was made even worse by the manager’s rude attitude. I’m done. I will not patronize Chart houses again.
I thought the food was bland and lacking flavor.
Wow, the Chart House still has it!!! I have not been to one in many, many years, and was a little hesitant that it would live up to my expectations.....our server was very attentive, and food was delivered as we requested, as we wanted to enjoy the view and ambiance, and did not feel rushed at all on a Saturday night! Overall, I wold be happy to go back, and ate too much, my only regret!
Excellent restaurant and service. Been here multiple times and never disappointed!
Has something for everyone. Always a good call. I'll be back
Went to Chart House dinner so we can watch the fireworks a few steps down from the restaurant.
They have valet parking for $6 but there is a parking lot which is walking distance from the restaurant. I opted for Valet because my mom has mobility issues.
I brought my pet maltese so we were offered a seat in the outdoor patio, which I happily took since it was not very cold and they have heaters. Only service dogs are allowed inside the restaurant.
Overall the food was okay. Loved the octopus and crab cakes for appetizers but the prime rib was bit of a disappointment. A tad chewy and tasteless.
The mud cake for dessert was excellent but the lava cake was a let down because it was cooked through. No gooey chocolate when we cut into the cake.
Service was great as the valet guy and our server were super nice and attentive.
The service has been subpar the last few times. They need to step up their game
From the valet, to the host stand to the server, the staff was extremely friendly. The view was amazing as they gave us a window table for our holiday lunch. The food was delicious and well priced. We shared a burger and a seafood Cobb and they were both very tasty.
We had our first family Christmas dinner at the Chart House this evening. The restaurant manager (Dave) greeted us and was very accommodating. He also checked in halfway our meal to make sure we got excellent service. Thank you, Dave, for making our Christmas dinner a special one.
Staff was trying to put out fires .
Management was not prepared for so many people.
Kitchen staff overwhelmed and could have used an extra person or two .
Food Luke warm , and choices were rapidly disappearing !
Not their normal . 🙁
We waited for 20 minutes for someone to initially come to the table. The service and food were not very good.
This is one of our favorite places to dine. Good food, good ambience. We would especially like to recommend our waitress: Lena. Terrific person and great service. Thank you Lena for making our dining experience extremely pleasant.
It was super busy, couple of mishaps with getting cold food initially but completely understandable with how many people were in the restaurant. It was delish and Tiffany (our server) was calm as a cucumber and her service was magnificent ... OF course, I'll go back!
Excellent food, service and holiday atmosphere. Happy holidays to all.
Came to celebrate my daughter birthday on Christmas Day. The food was exceptional, our server Tiffany was so gracious, especially considering it was Christmas Day, and the ambience was beautiful. I hadn’t been here since my junior prom 30 years ago so it was nice to bring my kids to somewhere posh for the holiday. I will definitely come back, and sooner than 30 years from now!
Our waiter was good. I have been told she is from Florida.
Excellent as always. Tried the salmon cooked on a wood plank. Amazing! The scallops were very fresh. Also has a great salad bar. And the best key lime pie on the west coast.
Everything was great except that the $18 for the Bone Marrow appetizer amounted to 2 spoonfuls of bone marrow. Just silly for the price.
Went to Chart House for no reason but to eat dinner. The food and service was excellent. However, I expected a different ambiance on a Saturday night.
Wonderful cuisine and service as always.
Lena excellent server.
I'm sad to say I was so disappointed with this restaurant. I thought there would be good food and plenty of options for a vegan, gluten-free and regular diet/hungry kids, but options were limited and the portions were small. I received a salmon with 2 starches - rice and potatoes. NO VEGGIES! My daughter had the mezze platter with shrimp and the eggplant was horrible. She's had better elsewhere. The manhattan was just ok, also better elsewhere. My husband who is vegan was not able to find any protein that he could eat. Most places have tofu these days. The Impossible burger didn't say vegan so he wasn't able to get that. We will never go back and I would be recommending it.
We had a really enjoyable dinner. Food was very good; albeit, a bit expensive. Took a little longer than expected for our son’s (5 yr.) meal to arrive, since we asked for it to come out asap. But, our waitress was lovely and very attentive. The ambiance was beyond reproach!
Always great food with wonderful service in a beautiful setting.
We fly in from West Virginia to visit family on my wife's birthday and had made reservations on line. Everything was very nice----the staff-----the food-----the atmosphere! Thanks for a very nice evening!
My brother’s birthday. My husband and I are frequent diners. My brother really enjoys the lobster and steak and requested the Chart House for his birthday dinner.
Thoroughly enjoyed it! Tiffany made his evening special with an ice cream cake with his name on the plate and also a handwritten birthday card with everyone’s signatures. How special was that for him???
I’m ever so grateful that this night was made sooo special for him!! Thank you!!!!
Fantastic service, food was excellent, view was beautiful.
If you want a break from cooking on the holidays, I absolutely recommend trying the Chart House. The service and food was great. And I was impressed with how quickly they prepared the food with a packed house. Fabulous experience.
Salad bar out of everything. Food cold and then we did not get our Landry’s points even after asking the waiter. Staff was very tired. Not up to chart house standards. .
The Waitress Capri was the Best. The hostess Kim was very helpful .when our Filet mignon came out over cooked she returned the filet and followed up to make sure that we were satisfied. I would have liked to have a table facing the window to get the view of the Marina. Over all I enjoyed my Dinner and will return soon.
We ordered the Thanksgiving "Special" and it was terrible. The service was more than slow,
the turkey slices were thin and dry, they did not have gravy, the creamed spinach was cold and chewy, like they only used the stems, mashed potatoes and stuffing was ok, sweet potato was good. The size
of the pecan pie slices were served to the three of us in different sizes - from very small to double the size . It did not matter because the pie was way too sweet.
Wine was good (for $ 14.--/glas) but was served very late, so was the bread basket. There was a manager on the floor and she was very helpful in getting us the items our waitress never delivered.
My son and I chose to dine here for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a disappointing experience for sure. For $200 we were served dry turkey and bad crab. However, the service was the big issue. Our server was nice enough, but he was inattentive and super slow. He never refilled our water and another waiter cleared our dishes after we sat for a long while. Our waiter served us clam chowder, although we ordered lobster bisque. Our entree came before the appetizer. To top it off, we listened to two women yak non stop at a volume of 8 when the rest of the diners in the restaurant were a 4. Thankfully there’s always next year and it will not be Chart House.
Overall it was good. Perhaps just a bit more attention from the wait staff, but we still had a very nice time.
The Chart House was fantastic in every aspect, from valet, waitress, and the food is always delicious.
The restaurant made a special menu announcing my parents 64th wedding anniversary at the top !
Sammy our waiter was excellent. Food is always consistent. We went for our Anniversary and they had customized our menus and presented them to us scrolled up upon departure.
Greeting from the hostess was indifferent The salad was mediocre and uninspiring
The filet mignon was tasteless and the accompanying french fries was more of a decoration then fit to eat.
The chef's special halibut was beautifully presented, tasty and pricey
The corkage fee of $15 was reasonable.
Our server, Tiffany was highly professional with a great sense of humor and recommended the halibut.
This was our third visit to this restaurant and cannot find any reason to return.
