Kitchen service is very slow, took a considerable time for the meals to arrive and when they did, two out of the five meals were incorrect. Server did a good job, but was spread way too thin and could not dedicate the amount of time necessary to provide great service. This restaurant has a history of inconsistent service and food quality.

My wife and I both had the Chart Your Course selection. I had the Shrimp Linguine and my wife had the Bronzed Salmon and Crab. Both were excellent and we brought home enough for another meal. A great value. Make sure you try the brown bread rolls. Yummy. Although the service was good, it seemed like the staff was overworked and under staffed. The bar was not cleared when people left and it looked trashy with all the empty glasses and utensils left on the bar.

Right on the water with waves crashing on the rocks. Great food. What could be better. You might even see the mysterious and fabled green flash. I saw one there once and the entire restaurant erupted in loud cheers.

Everything couldn't have been better. My favorite restaurant. Parking, service, the view, the wine and the food made our evening out one to remember.

Came for early dinner 6:00 restaurant was basically empty. By the time we left, it still was. Considering how few customers there were, one would think the service would be great, instead it was very slow and we need to continue to remind our very pleasant waiter of our requests. Sea bass was diaapointinh. My dining partners were splint on the salmon one enjoyed, the other not so much..

My wife and I went there for our 46 wedding anniversary. I had the dynamite halibut and she had the filet mignon for an appetizer we had the calamari with vegetable combo. Calamari was excellent, and the main entrée was presented. The halibut was dry. Look like it’s been sitting for a while, almost a plastic. The fillet was also dry and not tender. It was a disappointing experience not the one that I normally used to at the chart house. Our waitress, Lynn was very attentive and very friendly. The manager came by asked how the food was. We said it was just OK. He offered us a complementary dessert.

Generally, we really like the Chart House and hope it continues to do well. The location in Cardiff right on the water is fantastic - we had reservations, but decided to sit in the bar as the window tables were taken and the high tops in the bar are great with perfect views. Out waiter was the bartender who also had other tables in the restaurant. He actually made my wife a great custom cocktail and when he did come around, he was very pleasant. The manager stepped in a couple of times to help which was appreciated, but it was generally kind of hard to get attention. The food was really disappointing this time. The kimchi calamari was slathered with the sauce - eats nice at the beginning and then is a soggy mess at the bottom. Our suggestion would be to serve the kimchi sauce for dipping. The shrimp/mango avocado stack had absolutely no flavor. Since we had enjoyed this before, we asked the bartender and he said it was supposed to have a nice Old Bay/mayo/etc. dressing on it - that was missing. Thus, our lower than usual overall rating. We will definitely be back and hope this was just an off day. I just wanted to write this to give management a heads up - you don't want a proverbial "slippery slope". Thanks.

We were seated for twenty minutes before a server came by to take our drink order. The prime rib was extremely fatty and a bit cold. The lava cake, which has always been one of our favorites, just wasn’t as rich as it has been in the past. We have had many enjoyable dining experiences at the Chart House but on this occasion we left a bit disappointed.
