My wife and I visited Chart House in Cardiff in late June. The service and food were excellent. The view is beautiful, especially with a window seat. The service was much above average as well as the food presentation. We will be visiting again in the near future.

The views are amazing at this restaurant. Service was slow and the food was average. My husband liked his dinner of prime rib. I had the shrimp and lobster linguine. It had a generous amount of seafood but the sauce was flavorless. For the cost of dinner and the fact that it was average I would say my experience was good but not a great value aside from the views.

Our server, Marco was excellent. The views - outstanding. What was disappointing: our gluten free friend (who told server he was GF) got orzo delivered with his fish, so it had to be sent back. My wife's filet mignon was probably the worst cut of filet ever - I've made better in my backyard. My appetizer got served WITH my meal. The view, again - is what brought us there. Its been 10 years since we ate there (we always go to Steak 48 for awesome meals but no ocean views) and PCG (much better food AND great views) and it will be another 10 years before we go back.

Kitchen service is very slow, took a considerable time for the meals to arrive and when they did, two out of the five meals were incorrect. Server did a good job, but was spread way too thin and could not dedicate the amount of time necessary to provide great service. This restaurant has a history of inconsistent service and food quality.

My wife and I both had the Chart Your Course selection. I had the Shrimp Linguine and my wife had the Bronzed Salmon and Crab. Both were excellent and we brought home enough for another meal. A great value. Make sure you try the brown bread rolls. Yummy. Although the service was good, it seemed like the staff was overworked and under staffed. The bar was not cleared when people left and it looked trashy with all the empty glasses and utensils left on the bar.

Right on the water with waves crashing on the rocks. Great food. What could be better. You might even see the mysterious and fabled green flash. I saw one there once and the entire restaurant erupted in loud cheers.

Came for early dinner 6:00 restaurant was basically empty. By the time we left, it still was. Considering how few customers there were, one would think the service would be great, instead it was very slow and we need to continue to remind our very pleasant waiter of our requests. Sea bass was diaapointinh. My dining partners were splint on the salmon one enjoyed, the other not so much..
