   The meal was very nice-I had a whole plate of food as a take away and was at the valet getting my car when I realized I forgot it. I can right back in and they had already thrown it away. They never came to see if I had gone. That was a $55 dish that they threw out before I even left the premises.

   The beautiful location on the ocean and the smart decor makes each visit feel special. We have always enjoyed the food, and that was true this time. What seemed lacking to us, for the first time in all our years of eating at The Chart House in Cardiff, CA, was inadequate training of our servers. Plates and cups were served and just placed anywhere, and we had to re-set the tableware in order to eat and drink our orders. Plus, appropriate utensils were never brought with my order of mussels: smaller fork and a bowl for discarded shells. I used my dinner fork and salad plate. Not a serious deal, but service was not the caliber expected at that restaurant.

   Sierra provided very good service. I had a delicious small portion of lobster bisque followed by a wonderful preparation of lamb chops with carrots and mashed potatoes (en lieu if the mashed parsnips listed)and finished my meal with a virgin affogato. I was lucky to go for early lunch so got prime window seating to enjoy the ocean view and watch the numerous surfers catching some nice big waves.

   We went to the Chart House for my birthday. The food was disappointing. There was very little taste. I really enjoyed the ocean view.

   From A-Z, the management and staff went out of their way for my dad’s 95th birthday celebration!! Sean accommodated my special dessert request and Devin did an outstanding job waiting on us. The Chart House gets a 10!!!! Thank you so much!!!

   It’s always a delight to dine here! Their Lobster Bisque soup is THE BEST—chunks of lobster in every bite, and that hint of sherry make it legendary. I especially love the Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad for lunch, however I’ve always been very happy with any meal I’ve had there! Note—the Shrimp, Avocafo, Mango Stack is a terrific starter too!

   Love The Chart House for Sunday brunch. We were a party of five. Our server, Kathy, was excellent. She was personable, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. We all loved the food and the view. The restaurant is immaculate. The prices for the quality of food, service and view can’t be beat in today’s dining scene. We did not feel rushed at all. It is unbelievable that valet does not charge for parking. You just leave a tip if you wish to. We are already planning to meet at the Chart House again soon.

    As always, which explains why we are there monthly, the service ambience quality of the food in overall atmosphere is always excellent. We had the pleasure of our server Caitlin providing excellent service, follow up throughout the meal and an overall very welcoming and appreciative demeanor. We had crab legs, lobster bisque, and the famous molten chocolate dessert. Everything was excellent and we’re looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for the great dinner Chart House. On a sidenote, it’s great to have valet parking offered at no charge other than a tip for the guys working it.
