I love how y’all take care of your dinners! We had no complaints! The food the ambience and the service was A1 we applaud you! Thank you Chart House!
This restaurant is a new find. Located in its own building outside the Golden Nugget, it apparently serves as the golf course clubhouse. There is a nice view at sunset, but televisions dominate the bar area, and are even annoyingly on the walls of the dining room. Besides that, the ambiance is superior to Vic and Anthony's, and a bit more relaxed than Ember.
The service was excellent: professional and attentive. The drinks were well-made, and the food was quite good. As a pescatarian, I was pleased with the selection of seafood dishes available. All in all, a very good find, and I will definitely return.
A wonderful place they had it all together but, missed on the entree. Sea bass was over seasoned and they made another but, it was not cooked. Excellent service and ambience and plan to go again and order something other than fish which is the reason I wanted to visit in the first place.
Our server Simon was exceptional, very knowledgeable on wine and great suggestions on the menu and portion sizes he was very charming.
Loved our server. My birthday lunch was so much fun.
Great food and service as always!
Never miss a chance to come to this Chart House. Manager Kevin and server Anthony were great. Try the prime rib hash
The food was delicious and the drinks were interesting. We visited after a concert and it was perfect. There were lots of groups dining and it was loud but not loud enough for us to not hear each other.
We seek out this restaurant every visit to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. It is a Hidden Gem. You don't have the casino noise. Excellent food excellent wine list excellent service great atmosphere dress attire business casual. Rarely see anyone in shorts and no one in t-shirts and ball caps. Staff is exceptional wish I had a Chart House close to me.
I ordered the Sea Bass blackened with the mango pineapple topping that come with the seasonal vegetables & mango sticky rice. My only complaint was that the fish could have been cooked a little longer-tasted a tad undercooked. The mango sticky rice was an interesting twist that I really liked.
My husband had the fish & chips. Neither one of us particularly cared for it.
Our son had the filet & subbed the Pave potatoes for fries. His meal/main entree looked & tasted the best overall.
The wine list was extraordinarily lengthy providing everyone a wide variety to choose from as well as price ranges.
Between waiting to be seated and the time it took to get a waiter to our table it was 40 minutes from our reservation time before we had a drinks order in. Orders were wrong. Food was cold. Service was horribly lacking. Hostesses bordered on rude. Way too much money for this service and experience
This is the second time we went to brunch at Chart House. It does not disappoint.
Despite a reservation, we were still forced to wait for a considerable amount of time. Once seated (at a folding table that had been jammed into the room so they could get more folks in for Father's Day, I assume), we waited for an even longer time for our drinks, then for our food. Food was mediocre and not worth the wait. It was very disappointing, particularly on such a special day.
This Chart House was a disappointment compared to the Las Vegas location. The restaurant is small as the building space is shared with a golf shop. The food was not what is expected from a restaurant like Chart House. I ordered fresh Mahi and received what looked like something from Long John Silvers. The rest of my guest's orders were nothing to brag about either.
Anyways, after a $300 with tip total for 4 guest, not a fan of this location. Will not be patronizing this location again.
Peyton, our waiter was the best!!!!! Knowledgeable and friendly. He served at OUR PACE!! Loves his job!! Loves his employer!!! Loves The Chart House! He spoke so highly of his position and resturant. Peyton loves working at Golden Nugget. Makes us want to return because Peyton feels so positive about his employment. The food was beautifully plated and so delicious! Special orders for preparation were happily accepted. The setting was so peaceful and calm. We treated our son and his wife from New Orleans. They were so comfortable and we even brought their 5 month old son, who was perfectly behaved. The resturant was so gracious and put lots of effort to find us the best table so everyone was comfortable, including the other guests in the resturant. What a great Pre-Father's Day dinner for my husband and our son, his first! Thank you Golden Nugget, The Chart House and their staff, especially Peyton!!
Enjoyed our food very much. The place was a bit nosier than we like but still able to hold a conversation. Our server was pleasant. Plan on a minimum of 90 minutes for dinner.
Fantastic. Start to finish. Tuna appetizer amazing. Great plating of all food
Brought our daughter here for her 21st birthday. Food, atmosphere & service were all great!
First time to the Chart House and it was a great night. Lovely restaurant that takes full advantage of the sun setting over the golf course. Loved that it is not big, not loud, and with floor to ceiling front windows, it is not too dark. We split a starter salad (chopped) but the portions for entree are generous so I'd skip the salad next time. I had the salmon, grilled, and opted for the avocado pico topping. That was a winner! It came with a deliciously sweet mango rice that went perfectly. Seasonal veggies were a bit too al dente, but I got my vitamins. I began with their old fashioned cocktail (a cross between an old fashioned and Manhattan) and it was very good. My friend had the bass with the cabell topping and she enjoyed it too.
I want to thank the manager for making the evening so enjoyable. Really put the customers first. And our waiter Peyton was very gracious and accommodating. I would ask for Peyton's area when returning, and we will be soon. Amazing meal, and I had the off the menu special. Outstanding.
Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service and a great staff member Sam, gave us a great dining experience! Thank you!
Excellent food, great drinks, superior service. The waiter was excellent and recommended some foods I would not have had if not for his recommendation.
Thanks for the experience.
The food was amazing, the decor is great. The only complaint I have is it was alittle warm. I was on a sleeveless top and was hot
Waited 40 minutes
Got a $18 Cosmopolitan-barely drinkable and not made properly
Seated next to super loud Bimbo who dropped “F” bomb constantly throughout the meal. Chair seat was greasy .
Baby wanking loudly on opposite table . Private dining area had drunk girl belly dancing on table... on mother’s day to boot. No bread delivered to table. Lobster Bisque was cold and tasted bad. Crab and corn chowder full of shell bits, Super slow service throughout meal. Way, way overpriced. Never again for me.
Second time there. First time service was ok but food still marginal and overpriced.
Great service and delicious food!! Will be back!
Mother’S Day outing with our with my 90 year old mom. Good and Service was awesome!!! Only complaint is it was very very noisy!!!!! Hard to have any conversations!
Beautiful view. Parking was difficult because of all the golf carts everywhere. I know this is a golf club but the casino controls the whole property and the front entrance was a real mess because of these hold carts and vehicles double parked everywhere. Staff was very courteous. It took 30 minutes to get our drink order from the bar to our table. The lame excuse was they ran out of champagne flutes (really?). Food was OK not stellar. Hummus dip was very bland and metallic. Brunch bread basket was skimpy and tasted overbaked and stale. French dip sandwich was outstanding. Hamburger was dry and cold--sad because we were told by friends it was really good in the past. Club sandwich was delicious. We'll try it again some time but we weren't thrilled especially waiting so long for 3 simple champagne orange juice flutes.
We had a derby event earlier that day then dinner with friends.
Simon was great as usually. The food took a bit longer than we had hoped but the manager took great care of us and we will definitely be back. A few of our friends had never been there but were very impressed as well and will also be back. j
I came to this restaurant as part of a weekend trip to Lake Charles from Houston. I didn’t realize it was part of the Landry family as this was one of my first trips to the Lake Charles area. My server never asked if we were select club holders therefore I missed out on 200 points (I also had $50 for my birthday and previous meals that could have been utilized had I known).
There were limited fish items and I came because I read review about the Mahi Mahi. It was a 6:30 PM meal and they were out. Though I do not consider Cinco de Mayo a major holiday, the ordering should have reflected an increase for projected Customer flow. Not pleased at all, but I got the Sea Bass which was prepared very well. Food service was good, just sad about the details that would have made this evening great.
Nice ambiance, wonderful food. My girls and I went for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious and came with extras of fruit and pastries. We will be back soon.
outstanding food, staff and service! This place is always outstanding! Sam is a outstanding staff member! Thank You!
Service was very good and menu was amazing! All courses were fantastic! Great view of the golf course and large Lake adjacent to the Casino grounds.
Food never disappoints. Excellent service from Simon. CH is the hidden gem at GNLC.
We were in town to see a concert on Friday, April 20th. I made reservations for 4 a few days before and we arrived on time-6:30pm. At check-in, the hostess was about to seat another table so I gave her my name and told her we were going to get a drink at the bar, which was right there. We got our drinks and sat at a table right by the hostess stand. The hostess never came to get us or signaled that our table was ready for the next 15 mins. I had to go up to be seated. She forgot. Our waiter was very friendly & knew that we were there for the concert but the wait for everything from the appetizer to dinner was super slow. We knew that it takes longer at nicer restaurants- enjoy the atmosphere, have a cocktail, etc but this was s-l-o-w. Really no updates on timing and had to keep asking. By the time we were served dinner, we had to eat in a hurry. Imagine have to eat a steak in a hurry...not a good feeling. Then we had to track down the waiter for the check. His reply was that the concerts never start on time. We made it to the concert and just a we sat down, it started. On time. The whole evening was rushed. We allotted 2 hrs just for dinner but obviously that was barely enough time.
Both the food and service were outstanding. Beautiful sunset view in the evening as well.
everything was great!
Slow food service plus meal was not hot. Sent part of meal back to be warmed
