We have dined here several times for special events and have always been thrilled with the quality of the food. However, this time the crab cakes were greasy and fishy. The person who had the fish & chips said it was similar to Long John Silvers. I had the crab/mango/avocado appetizer and it was very good and the prime rib was good. Our server was very attentive and explained the dishes very well. Just was not up to the past experience.
What a wonderful experience.... food, service & ambiance was outstanding!
Very good seafood and prime rib. Service was great, nice wine list and sunset over the lake was beautiful. We really enjoyed it!
Beautiful view! Very convenient at Golden Nugget. Management and staff did a great job. Food was excellent as were the drinks. Love the tables next to fireplace/pit.
We arrived at the restaurant for our 7:15 reservation at 7:20, a bit late, we didn't know it was that far from the hotel. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks, that went well.
It was so loud in the dining room that energetic doesn't come close, more like a rock concert. We asked to be seated outside and that was much better. Ordered an appetizer and dinner at the same time while we had drinks. The appetizer arrived in a reasonable time, about 7:45, so that went well. At around 8:15,I asked the waiter to check on our order and was assured it was imminent. At 8:45, still no dinner.
The prime rib finally arrived at 9:05, over cooked, dry, and also cold. I was surprised that over cooked and cold could be done at the same time. I guess a lot can be done in 90 minutes.
The manager apologized and offered to replace the prime rib. I declined and he comped the check. Good thing.
Overall not a good experience.
We were seated at reservation time. The service was prompt. The food was good.
My wife and I dine here every time we stay at the Golden Nugget and have always been impressed with both food and service. We were slightly disappointed after this visit. The food was good but didn’t knock our socks off like it has all the previous visits. The most disappointing part was the service. Our waitress was rude and acted perturbed anytime we asked her a question. It was my wife’s birthday and when she asked if she could order a Molten Cake for desert the waitress responded “ Uhhhhhhh NO that takes 45 minutes”. Neither of us even had a response for that we were at a loss for words that she responded that way. The other two couples with us had never dined there before and upon leaving they all made comments about the waitress. Will I dine here again? Yes, but if she is assigned to my table I will be asking for someone else!
Our waitress was top notch and had great suggestions from cocktails to dishes. The food came out fine, but nothing impressive. I had higher expectations for the food for the prices. We might try it again.
The level of service was excellent. Food was wonderful. This place lives up to all of the expectations you would have of a beautiful restaurant on a golf course. Would recommend for anyone who wants a nice dining experience out.
Never disappointed! Setting, atmosphere, views and delicious eats and drinks.
Reese was our server at our 37th anniversary celebration. He was very attentive and made our evening so pleasant!!!
We went to try the crab cakes but ended up choosing the Valentine dinner for two. Service was fabulous - food was phenomenal. I tried the Ruby cocktail- it was amazing. Will definitely return.
Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food, drinks and service!
Took a little long but excellent food and excellent service!
Valentines Day. Everything was marvelous.
I was a little let down by my dining experience at the Chart House. I've used often table several times and have never had to wait more than 2-5 minutes for a table... our wait time was more than 30 minutes! What am I making reservations for? The food was ok, but definitely not worth the "special" Valentine's Day pricing. The only thing that saved grace was the service, the manager was really nice and professional in trying to accommodate us after an underwhelming dinner. Ambience was typical upscale restaurant. I doubt if I ever return as there are several upscale restaurants in the area that have made far better impressions on me
The Valentines day special menu was ok, but nothing could be swapped not even a side of aspargus that my husband can’t eat! The dessert was dry and tasteless. I expect much better from them!
We made reservations for a Valentine dinner.
The hostess was very friendly and accommodating as we waited for our table.
Once seated our server met us with a smile and the enthusiasm as if he were filled with joy to serve us.
Every aspect of our dinner was wonderful. Service was excellent, food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect.
Low noise level made for a pleasant evening of conversation.
This is one of our favorite places to dine for all the reasons stated above.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Although the restaurant was full because it was Valentine’s Day, the staff was friendly & professional, & service was very good! We splurged & chose from the special valentine’s menu, but quality of food was uneven. Lobster bisque, strawberry salad, steamed/baked lobster tails, filet mignon, & dessert were outstanding. However, asparagus spears & broccolini were undercooked, hard, unseasoned, & totally disappointing—as were the hard, overcooked fingerling potatoes. Pastry was totally soggy due to sauce, & both lobster tails with sauce were overcooked. I understand that it is difficult to prepare food in a timely fashion for a restaurant filled to capacity. However, at $140 per couple, I expected all items to be well-prepared. Also, dining room was very noisy & it was difficult to converse. (The only obvious sound-absorbing material was the carpeting.)
Service was way too slow and one plate came out cold
Wonderful atmosphere. We sat by the fireplace which was nice. Great view of the bridge. Our server was excellent!
Fantastic food. Service was exceptional.view was great looking out over the golf course and our new bridge in the sunset . Wife totally enjoyed our 32 nd anniversary
The Chart House is the best kept secret at the Golden Nugget. Great food and excellent service too. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great. But the Reservation was a t 7. Didn’t get seated till 7:45 other people were taken before us with the same reservation. Was very upset.
Everything was perfect! From the cleanliness of the parking lot to the decor of the restaurant, I felt immediately at ease. Our server was extremely engaged with my husband and I and answered all of our questions. The food was exquisite. No complaints at all and my husband and I can’t wait to go back!
Our food was delicious and our waiter was quick to meet all of our needs! It was our anniversary and Chart House made it feel special.
Kudos to Kyle, our waiter. Great service and atmosphere
Best restaurant in Golden Nugget. Prime rib is a must try!
Great crab legs. Loved the perfect Manhattan.
Can’t beat the service and food at this place!
We went for Sunday late brunch. Asked for bread with the meal and were told there was none. This in spite of one of us ordering a sandwich on French bread. So we knew they had French bread. The salads were very skimpy. These were Entree size salads supposedly.
Very professional staff excellent food and beautiful venue
Wonderful service. Awesome food.
Best place in town to have an evening sunset meal. The sky was clear and the colors gorgeous. The food is wonderfully prepared and delicious.
The food is excellent but the service is over-zealous. The minute you put your fork down —even to pause between bites they try to clear your plate from the table. This has happened on every visit to this restaurant. This time they took my husband’s plate, leaving me watching me while I finished my meal. Really bad form.
Service and food were outstanding. We were a group of six and the restaurant was busy, but we did not have any trouble hearing each other at the table. Chart House will now be our go to place for special occasions.
Received raw salmon after asking for it well-done. When i notified the wait staff they asked me to take the salmon off my plate and give it to them to take back to the grill. They brought me back the salmon cooked but it was torn apart. Nice setting but this overall experience was lacking in quality based on the cost.
I have ZERO complaints. The food and service were both magnificent. We will definitely be back.
Manager fantastic.. server fantastic.. cocktails strong and tasty.. escargot exquisite .. chicken dish was dry .. my wife thought mahi was a little dry and tough.. swordfish and oysters were great.. wine reasonably priced .. I’ve had better duck.. crab legs were good for price .. would definitely go again for drinks , ambiance, service and attention by management, but unfortunately food had been a bit on the underwhelming side lately.. good date spot.. great views
Greates nicely at the door Sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. Waiter was friendly and new the menu and offered suggestions which we took and it was excellent The one thing i would suggest is a broader wine selection by the glass. Wines by the glass did not match the scale of the food. Lacking quality. But otherwise we enjoyed our visit and will be back
