The Charcoal Steak House is an independent local steakhouse serving the Waterloo region community for over 65 years. Enjoy AAA Steaks, richly marbled wagyu, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, mouth-watering pig tails, legendary smoked ribs and more. At lunch we feature an extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, bowls and healthy salad choices.

Sundays are made for Brunch from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Our Martinis Bar with summer patio offers the full Steak House menu or light meals in a more casual setting. Enjoy appetizers, a full meal, 20 beers on tap and beautiful outdoor seating area in summer.

First time here in many years. The food and service was spectacular! We tried the Japanese Wagyu steak and it was impressive. We will definitely come back here.

Great service! Had a delightful waitress who was very attentive. Food was great and we got a dessert on the house for our anniversary. Restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday so I’m glad we made a reservation

We are regulars at the Charcoal Steakhouse. The food and service is always excellent. On this particular evening, it was quite loud at our assigned table, and the staff offered and moved us to a more quiet location, when it was available. Much appreciated.

An exceptional business lunch, as usual, thank you! A special thank you to Evelyn and her staff who we have gotten to know so well over the years - amazing atmosphere! Always greeted with a smile which makes our dining experience that much more special. Got to try some new menu items which were delicious...can't wait to try the rest!

Service was impeccable, the food quality was excellent, atmosphere was exactly what I wanted for a nice quiet birthday dinner out. The food selection was varied, and the dishes were unique. We enjoyed our dinner at Charcoal immensely!
