Fabulous birthday dinner!
The noise level was so loud it became very difficult to hold a conversation at the table without having to also raise our voices; we could literally hear conversations from neighboring tables.
I came here for my birthday because the ambiance is beautiful and I wanted a less casual setting than most restaurants in Houston. I RSVP'd for a table of 18... and to my disappointment the service was awful! The food came out cold, some of my guest never received their meals and the waitress was completely aloof and unaccommodating. Why there wasn't 2 waiters for a party that large is beyond me. I spent most of my birthday worried about my guest and trying to stay on top of the waitress and their needs.
Positive: The food (some of it cold) was absolutely delicious, the drinks were strong and the vibe was excellent.
Overall, I would come back. However, I definitely wouldn't recommend coming with a large group.
The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL, and the FOOD WAS AMAZING!!
Very noisy Wait staff not very personable. Drinks $16 even though menu says $11
I love this venue. Enjoyed a nice conversation with food and drinks with my wife on date!
Great food and great portions!! Drinks were amazing and the bartender Spencer had the perfect touch! Decor felt like you were somewhere exclusive! We'll be back soon thinking about making reservations for 8 for the NYE PARTY!!
I've been here twice and I absolutely recommend this place. I recently celebrated my birthday and I had an amazing evening with my girlfriends. Staff was friendly and food was delicious . Place is beautiful and very industrial.
Our server (Heather) was very attentive and friendly. Both managers on duty came by to welcome us and took the time to visit and get feedback. We only had small plates and all three were tasty, reasonably priced and well presented. The atmosphere and design of C&K is comfy and quite cool. Will definitely be going back. Overall, one of the more pleasant dining/cocktail experiences we've had in some time.
We had a Wonderfully Frightful Evening. I would certainly recommend to anyone. I would probably give a heads up on the parking as it was a bit challenging.
The Waitstaff was fabulous! My husband's taste buds are simple, So choosing items from the menu was not easy for him. The appetizers were perfect enough, that we probably didn't have to order dinner.
Absolutley loved it!! Only complaint I had was, I wished they had turned on the fans that look amazing or the a/c to circulate the air. It was nice a cool outside but you couldn’t feel that inside the restaurant. It was sticky and humid.
Food was not great and old fashions are served with the wrong type of ice. Worth a shot but probably won’t go back.
The restaurant was eclectic, kind of a modern industrial feel with unique decor. We loved the atmosphere, it has a mix between casual and classy dining. Our waitress was great, and drink and food were amazing. 10/10 will be back!
The specialty cocktails were weak :-( which is a bummer because they weren't cheap. The food was great though!
Great fun inviting place to socialize! Fabulous menu! Invited friends who had never been here before. Look forward to returning!
Food was excellent and the service was awesome! Highly recommend!!!!
Went during restaurant week. Food was creative and very tasty. Restaurant is very attractive and staff was little out of sync regarding service. The only issue we had was being seated on bar stools at two round bar height tables, in the middle of what felt like a dance floor for dinner. There were 6 of us and we had made reservations, but still ended up in some very uncomfortable stools for a few hours.
We came for Houston Restaurant Week. I have never tried their regular menu but have been twice for a late cocktail. The food was decent, but there are much better $35 dinner menus for Houston Restaurant Week. This place would be best for late night cocktails or happy hour.
The decor and ambiance was great! I felt the oversized tv screens to be out of place with the overall decor of the restaurant, though. It was very clean and the restrooms were nice. The menu was limited and lacking creativity or uniqueness. Food was good, well prepared and presented, but nothing to special. The night we visited it was very cold inside the restaurant and several other customers were complaining about the temperature. It was very uncomfortable being so cold and made it where we wanted to leave just to get warm. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, there was a big gap of time between our first and second courses. Not sure why, because the restaurant wasn’t very busy. I’d be interested in returning if they added some new items to the menu, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.
My boyfriend and I are always in the area and with it being restaurant week we thought it would be a good time to check it out. It's a very unique decor and layout which was nice and the food was delicious but turns out a three course meal in an hour doesn't give you much time to finish each, let alone enjoy the meal. We felt completely rushed and with all the open tables around us it was absolutely unnecessary.
Great place to relax and enjoy company quite and laidback
Restaurant had a nice decor and overall, the food was good but not great. The ceviche however was great, definitely order that. The location for Kirby & Chapman lends it to being more of an event space. We were literally the only table taken in the entire restaurant upon arrival at 7:00. And the music was too loud, which detracted from conversation.
Staff was great. I think I might be a little older then the crowd they’re looking for. Still had a nice time and I’ll go back
Food is weak for the price you pay. $15 for chicken tenders and fries? Come on. Queso was congealed within 5 min after it was delivered to the table.
Cocktails are good and recipes are well thought out.
I enjoyed the meal and drinks. The one Thing that is disappointing , I made a reservation and made the reservation on time but for some reason I did not get my dining points.
Service was slow. Didn’t recognize that we had been sat and took 12 Minutes to say hello.
Happy Hour had a blast and our waitress Heather was amazing!
We went there for pre-concert dinner and drinks. It was our first time there, and it was very cool. If you haven't seen this place, you should! Check out the website and you will understand. Service, drinks and food were great! The atmosphere is one-of-a kind. A fun place. We will return with friends!
Great breakfast. Serve yourself counter style dining
Awesome host and good drinks. Fantastic decor.
Fantastic cocktails and cheese board. Really friendly service!
