   For a person who doesn’t routinely crave Italian food, this restaurant ALWAYS makes me reconsider this position. Without a doubt the best Italian food in San Diego.

   We went for Mothers Day late lunch. Wonderful service, great recommendations, food came out nice & hot. We did have a gap between our salad and main meal but because it was Mother’s Day we felt it was understandable. This was our 3rd time to come to restaurant in last year and it’s always delicious

   We have eaten here many times and had a great experience, but for some reason, this visit was not great. While the servers were nice when they came to our table, service was very, very slow and disjointed. It took 15 minutes for our server to come to our table and 30 minutes for drinks. Throughout our meal, it was just not the level of service we usually have at this restaurant and the food was not as great as it usually is. Our favorite menu item that keeps us coming back was taken off the menu. We will give them another chance if the Boscaola comes back, but not worth it other than that.

   Took my mom and brother there - both picky eaters - and they absolutely loved it. Mom got the fettucine alfredo and my brother got the ravioli special and they were blown away. Place never disappoints.

   Cesarina was pure magic! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The bright, colorful vibes (including a ceramic chicken water pitcher!) made the atmosphere so fun and cozy. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and when they found out it was my sister’s birthday, they treated us to dessert with a candle and even took a sweet Polaroid photo for us. I’m so sad we’re just visiting—I already know I’m going to crave this place!

   Fantastic. The food is as good as it gets in San Diego. I told my wife that she could pick any restaurant in San Diego to go to for Mother's Day and she chose Cesarina. I'm certain that I will be making the same choice for Father's Day.

   I recently visited this restaurant and wanted to share my experience. The food was absolutely excellent! Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, making our mealtime really enjoyable. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter seemed really bothered when there was a mix-up with one of our drink orders, which was a bit off-putting. They switched out our waiter, but that didn't really help with the overall experience. To make matters worse, our appetizer order didn’t get put in, so we had to wait longer than expected for it and our salads. When we asked a staff member to take our picture, they didn't seem very enthusiastic about it and didn’t take it for us, which was a little disappointing. Overall, while the food definitely saved the day, the service could really use some improvement. I hope my next visit will be a bit smoother!

   After hearing from so many people that this place was incredible I expected more. The lasagna was over salted, the pasta dishes came out cold and took quite a long time which made us think they had been sitting out. The steak and truffle dish was amazing.

   From the delicious appetizer, limoncello spritz, to the homemade pasta, bolognese and wonderful table side tiramisu…this place was AMAZING! Friendly service. EVERYTHING is homemade- will definitely be back!

    Excellent place to dine for any occasion! The food is authentic with good presentation. They are not afraid to innovate with seasonal dishes/desserts/cocktails while keeping the classics on the menu. It has an inviting casual and authentic Italian atmosphere from the Italian servers to the decor and tableware. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive. Even though we drive 90 minutes to eat here, it is worth it for the food and experience, and has never disappointed us. The ability to make reservations online is convenient and user-friendly.
