   For some reason extra slow service at each course. Forgot one of my orders, so it came out too late to fully enjoy. Particularly loud outside due to some work being done in alley, but servers and wait staff offered little apologies to diners.

   Chef Amy is one of the best chef in USA , love her and the food , very consistent.

   The food was excellent but we were unpleasantly surprised at the 5% surcharge when we received the check. It made an already pricey meal more expensive. Frankly the cost of the meal should have already factored in “operational costs” for the sake of transparency.

   We tried several antipasto (burrata, pane bread basket and fried zucchini vegetable) which were all great first. The pasta dishes all sounded amazing and we chose Tagliolini, Orichetti and Chicarra. We also got the Denice Black Sea bass. Everything had great flavors. For desert we got a chocolate cake and gelato. Great birthday celebration spot. Next time we will try the patio seating and bring the pups!

   We are from out of town. We researched and were excited to book this restaurant for a special occasion. The description made it seem like rustic Italian. Much to my surprise, it was in a very modern shopping area. That aside, we were excited for the food and experience. The hostess was very friendly. Unfortunately, our server was not. She barely introduced herself, immediately wanted to take our order without asking if we had been there before, explaining anything, or highlighting any menu offerings. When I asked for a pasta recommendation to pair with the fish she was rattled one off without making eye contact. Although we felt rushed and the service was lacking, we were excited for our order. Our first round of drinks were great. They asked if we wanted another round and we weren’t ready yet. By the time we were ready it was impossible to flag anyone down to order. The service was incredibly slow. Our salad was delicious. The pasta course, server recommendation, was very good as well. We kept waiting for our entree. Finally our server returned, but with a dessert menu. She said she didn’t hear or remember we ordered the fish. Funny, because she recommended a pasta that paired well with it. However, that’s not the upsetting part. She made no apologies. At this point, we had been waiting an extremely long time and had empty drinks for a while. You would think she would have offered us drinks (we would have gladly paid for them) while we waited, but she still seemed rushed to be serving us. We decided to skip the entree and asked for the check which she provided quickly, for once. Again, no apologies or attempt to rectify anything. Even with a great cocktail and pasta order, the entire experience fell flat because of service.

   Our party grew at the last minute from 6 to 9 and the team was super accommodating, pulling tables together outside on a gorgeous evening. The service was excellent and everyone had a great time - we'll be back!

   The food was amazing. Centrolina is now our favorite Italian restaurant in the DMV area. All four dishes we had were beautifully prepared and so flavorful. The duck was our favorite dish, followed by the Stracci, and the fresh tomatoes with the fried green tomatoes was a clever and delicious pairing. Matt was the utmost professional server we’ve had in quite some time. You can tell he enjoys his profession. Our date night was so enjoyable thank to Matt and the chef. The prices were very reasonable for fine dining, and the restaurant is beautiful inside. We will definitely be coming back soon.

    I sat at the bar, I was there by myself and the bartender took wonderful care of me. He had great suggestions about the food, it came in a timely fashion and was delectable. I started with the house Negroni cocktail which was great, then sashimi with a lemon ponzu bath - then white bolognese pasta and finished with molten chocolate cake with a poached pear. The place was buzzing, but people could have conversations. Seemed to be a place to meet friends or co-workers and everyone enjoyed their food and ambiance. Recommend highly.
