   Convinced my friends to check this place out because I truly enjoyed the Bistro. I mean, I raved about the manchego shrimp and grits to anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, my experience with Cenote on our group’s long awaited mom’s night out was truly lacking. We arrived for our 7:30 dinner reservation around 7:20 and were asked to wait at the bar. The renovations to the place are surely beautiful. We were never served by the bartender, and he apologized for being too busy to get to us by the time we were seated 35 minutes later. The owner informed us that there were call outs with bar and wait staff impacting service and unfortunately it really put a damper on our experience. Complimentary chips served with a smokey salsa that was very good. Our appetizers arrived around 8:15 and drinks didn’t come until after that. The elote fries were not impressive, mushroom flautas were pretty good with nice unique flavor and the guacamole was OK but very small. The drinks were largely good but inconsistent, likely because the bartender was swamped. The drink menu was good and creative. Two girlfriends ordered the carne asada and that was truly delicious. Steak was cooked wonderfully. Another friend and I got the chicken and beef enchiladas, respectively. Both were nothing special and not too flavorful. No one liked or ate the rice and beans that came as a side. They were bland and dry. We ordered churros for dessert but unfortunately they did not taste fresh and the 4 of us couldn’t finish 4 miniature churros due to the taste. I am pretty disappointed and regret asking my friends to meet me here. As new moms, nights out are very hard to come by. I expect the service would’ve been much better/quicker with a full staff, but I still don’t feel drawn to return for the food when there are SO many strong Mexican restaurants nearby. Bistro was one of my favorite restaurants and I hope this poor experience was just a bad night.

   The beef enchiladas were AMAZING! Service was great, excellent happy hour menu! Our chocolate mousse dessert was so delish!

   I went to Cenote with a friend and I was not disappointed!!! The food was excellent. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was lovely. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back again!!

   What a wonderful night for my entire family! We were celebrating my son's birthday, and the food was outstanding. More than that, the staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Although the restaurant was quite crowded, the volume of talk was at a low level, allowing us to all clear each other while we were dining. We cannot wait to go again!

    Excellent food, amazing drinks & service. Victor goes out of his way to make the guest have an enjoyable experience. Ally, our waitress, was attentive, engaging and able to answer all our questions.
