We read online menu and made our decision to dine there based on that. When we arrived after waiting awhile we asked our waiter about certain items on the menu if they were good? Everything we asked he said was pretty good in a non reassuring voice. Well after the 4th pretty good we decided we were not using our hard earned money to dine at a restaurant that was just pretty good. We told the waiter that wasn’t going to work for us. We were looking for a delicious meal and thank you but we were leaving.
The food is unique, especially the fondue, which was exceptional! The pasta with butternut squash and wild boar sausage was delicious and the portion was generous. The carmelized onion and Italian sausage pizza-was prepared perfectly with a crisp crust. No room for dessert!
Cena always delivers very good food. We miss the cioppino that was taken off the menu,
Main dining room could definitely use some livening up. It borders on depressing.
We were led to believe this restaurant was fully booked when we tried to change the time of our reservations on a Friday evening, but were informed that the restaurant could then only take walk-ins. We were surprised to find it was two-thirds empty throughout the evening, and that they could have easily accommodated the request.
The food was nothing special with no unique ingredients, flavors or preparation, and seemed to be what you might typically find in a hotel restaurant. The menu needs work to be competitive with other offerings available in downtown Park City. Most of the diners were also staying at the Chateaux so it led us to believe this is a fall back option for those don’t want to leave the hotel.
Very below average. I could not eat the Monk fish. No table cloths.
Three waiters that didn’t know anything about the wine list .. or about wine. The shrimp was raw (when it should’ve been sautéed. Sent it back. Pizza was supposed to have beets but only had paste made supposedly from beets. No offer of coffee or desert. Bad meal. Would be surprised if this place stayed in business.
Our wait staff Sarah was awesome and pleasant. However we had an early dinner and the restaurant was fairly empty. We were sat by the kitchen doors and it kind of took away from the dining experience.
Staff training fail! Had a brand new server that didn’t know menu, specials, how to open a bottle of wine or to not serve salads at the same time as pasta course. Several others came to his aid, but new server should have been supervised entire time. There was only one other table seated in restaurant, so it wasn’t an issue of being too busy. New server also didn’t offer dessert menu at end of meal. Not sure we will return- had higher expectations for this venue.
Quiet food ona non busy Monday night. Short ribs were excellent Uber tender. Pasta was yummy. Good wine list.
Food is very poor. great location and ambiance is good. but starting with the bruschetta appetizer, which was more like an olive tapenade, it only got worse.

We can in to dinner with a large party and we’re not disappointed. Our waiter Kevin was attentive to our needs and was great with the kids. We enjoyed our food and the selection on the drink and wine lists. Great find. We would definitely not hesitate to eat there again.
Garlic and shrimp pasta did not taste like garlic. It was sweet from the beets. Very small portion for the price.
Meatballs and meat sauce were very dry and overcooked.
Had dinner recently at Cena with 9 family and friends. Food is ok, particularly the flatbread pizzas. I had the sausage and onion which was good. We ordered the fried clams, which our friends had the night before and loved, and ours came out soggy and not crisp. They were very large and chewy as well. Perhaps we just got a bad batch. The real reason for the low rating however was the service. We had to ask for the bread, and then they brought it but didn’t fill the olive oil. The waiter then filled our plate with olive oil but not the rest of the party. Our kids asked for butter and ketchup 3x and it never came. And to top it off, they added a 20% gratuity because it was a party of nine.

This was a very pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and such a great value. The service was impeccable as well. We will be returning and highly recommending this restaurant in the future.
Our family dined there last week and while there was nothing wrong with the restaurant (server was kind and attentive, we were greeted warmly upon entering the restaurant and seated promptly per our reservation) service was slow and the food was good just not remarkable. I had the Kale and Eggplant lasagna rolls and the dish was not as I expected. My husband had the bolognese and loved it. Third member of our party had the chicken parmesan (a favorite and "go-to" when dining out) and it was just average. We ordered a Torta Caramelia for dessert as a table and really enjoyed it.
Fish entrees were cold. Waiter never stopped by to check on us. Service all night was sparse. Menu could benefit from more options.
Food was just ok. Nothing to talk about. We all felt like they rushed us out the door. Would not go back.
The lamb dish was spectacular
First visit to this gem in Silver Lake Village. Found with promotion on Dine About Park City, and will return. Really great service and food. Nice atmosphere as well. Deal on DAPC was great value. Overall, a winning combination for me and my guests. Bravo!

We walked here from our hotel and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and Prosciutto & Garganelli. Both were okay, but not memorable. The bread was great and the clam strips were huge and very good. My husband felt the sauce on his meatballs was too thin and flavorless. The Garganelli was good, but the pea shoot stems were so hard and tough I couldn't eat them, and it was two large stems of pea shoots (should have been cut smaller). Probably won't return.

We had dinner here on 9-15-19 and sat on the outdoor patio, which was nice. Several of the heating units were not working but the two nearest our table seemed to be working fine and that kept things warm enough on the cool evening. Our waiter was great.
The four of us split the crab cakes appetizer (two on a plate), which was delicious. We then split one Caesar salad and one chopped salad and both were good. For the entree two of us split one order of spaghetti and meatballs and the other two split the tagliatelle with lamb Bolognese. Those that had the spaghetti thought it was delicious and the meatballs were the star. Unfortunately the gummy, maybe even over/under cooked tagliatelle ruined the joy of the delicious lamb Bolognese. We ended up using bread to eat the sauce and left the tagliatelle behind.
I will say it is always nice when the kitchen will split items on separate plates in the kitchen instead of diners having to do it themselves at the table and Cena did it happily although they did charge us a split charge, which was expected.

Great pasta pomodoro with meatballs. My wife ordered without and was charged the same.
We were 4 adults. Fish smelled very fishy; it was sent back. 2 people order the duck breast which was very over done & dry. Carrots & gnocchi were very good. 1 person had lamb chops which were also overdone & he asked when ordering for it to be medium. The person who orig ordered fish, ordered the pasta & it was fine. Maybe if you go to Cena, stick with pasta or something Italian. The server was very nice, but not very attentive. We asked for oil to go with the bread several times.
Maybe look at other reviews & see if pasta would be a better choice for this restaurant.

They appear all booked up, but when you get there, its dead. I get it, staffing levels, but still.. I called to see if they could accommodate a party of 8, when opentable would only allow 6, and the hostess said 'unfortunately no', but later in the day (in person) a different hostess said no problem.. Food was good, except the appetizers were pretty bland. Seemed everyone was pretty satisfied. When the bill came out, the attractive waitress said she was automatically going to add 30% gratuity to the bill for larger parties- was that ok with me? Yeah, um, first of all you can ask me more discreetly, secondly, are you asking me or telling me? and lastly, 30%- um- its Deer Valley, but its still percentage based, and your food is already inflated. I politely agreed, and made a mental note to leave a marginal review afterwards.

Waiter took our food order and we never saw him again over the next hour. The folks that delivered our meal, not our waiter, asked if we needed anything else and my wife ordered a glass of wine. The wine never showed up until the meal was over and our table cleared. Personally, I would never eat here again as this was one of the poorest service experiences we have ever had. There other things that could be mentioned in the service, but it is not worth the time.

Servers were very attentive- foreign students on work visas. Kale and orange salad was very good. The noodles in the bolognase were not good. They were rubbery - may have been microwaved.

The food and service was subpar but the atmosphere and scenery were amazing.
This was our second dining experience at Cena -- first was two years ago. This time we chose to dine on the lovely patio versus the lovely dining room, and sunset made a beautiful ambiance. Our food was delicious as it was before, and the service attentive but not intrusive (something that can be rare these days). Highly recommend!

I believe that over the last few years the quality of the food has diminished. The staff is very nice and efficient, but the food was mediocre at best. The place needs renovation and the cooking needs improvement.

We added a pizza to our order on a whim - we are so glad we did. It was excellent. I almost wish we had ordered more pizzas and just had that for dinner. Our other items were all good but the pizza was the highlight. We got the fried clams based on OpenTable reviews - I didn't think they were anything too special. They were good just not a "must have". We went on a weekday in June and it was very quiet. The service was good. We ate on the patio. Right now, the ambiance lacks a little due to construction across the street but it wasn't terrible. It will be fantastic once the construction is finished.

Service was excellent. Beautiful restaurant with lovely ambiance.
This was our first night in Deer Valley and the ski season is coming to an end. We were the only three in the restaurant. Awesome waiter who is also a Sommelier, Eugen, was great!
A lovely spot with very nice food. The restaurant was quiet at the end of the ski season, but the food was very good, as was the service. We will definitely return.
If you are staying in mid-mountain at Deer Valley, Cena is a must. Always dependable
very good food with healthy sized portions. Also, if you like fried clams, this is the only
place that I know of in the Park City area that has them.
Atmosphere, food and service were wonderful. Nice and quiet and welcoming. My family loved it and it may have been our best meal in Park City this trip. My only criticism was that the prices for the individual entrees on the final bill looked to be a few dollars more than stated prices on the menu. Our overall experience was positive so I did not make an issue of it at the time.
