Great ambiance, top-notch cocktails and excellent steak. Expensive, but worth it. Try the octopus appetizer.
Amazing food and service. My experience there was awesome.
The food was outstanding! We had the Salume Stromboli, Gemelli pasta, strip steak and baked potato. A delicious meal for a special occasion. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. An overall exceptional dinner experience.
This was our second time and we cannot wait to be back. We were a bit nervous about safety protocols, but all was precautions were expertly taken from PPE, to safe distancing and cleaning. We felt very safe.
My husband is a vegan and a good sport because once in a while I love a good steak, and this is the place to get it. When I made my reservation on Open Table, I mentioned my husbands dietary restrictions and the chef prepared a vegan meal for him that he is still talking about.
Matt our waiter was outstanding and of course, the food selection did not disappoint. My filet was delicious and perfectly cooked. We chose many sides with the intent to bring some home and feed us again the next day (which it did).
We felt welcomed and treated to a wonderful, safe, night out. Looking forward to our next meal there.
Wait staff was great and the skirt steak I had was delicious, will definitely come back again
Food and service was Excellent as it was the last time I had dinner there.
Great dinner .. Great service ... very clean and quite
Scrumptious steak, we had the skirt steak and the NY strip, both were cooked perfectly. The skirt steak was incredibly flavorful. We tried 2 Italian red wines, the Monte and the Nero, both excellent, our server was very knowledgeable, he helped us choose correctly. It was my wife's birthday, which I noted in my reservation, and they nailed it with a sparkler topped dessert!
Fabulous waiter, very friendly atmosphere.
Expensive, Ordered a Glass of wine received 1/4 of a glass for $14, a rip off. The Cocktails are small, the food fair and everything is an add-on extra even Steak sauce. A Porterhouse for two (2) was $157. Even Peter Lugars don't charge that. The New Hostess had a real attitude almost argumentative when she was asked a question she couldn't answer and she never got back to us with an answer to our question anyway. If it wasn't for the convenience of location, I wouldn't eat there again BUT what choice does one have when at the Resort?
The food was delicious very clean service was great
Despite the covid closure Cellaio did not disappoint. Eaten there many times before the shutdown and finally was able to return. Was reminded once again why it’s one of my favorite places to dine. Professional service and excellent food. Pricey but worth it
Excellent service. Filet was the best I've ever had.
Cellaio Always delivers a delicious experience. Generous portions, attentive service And good value in a huge well spread out dining room.
I tried the fried chicken with calabrian chili oil, based on the very tasty-looking pictures of it that I had seen online. It was not at all what would expect of *any* chicken dish. The chicken was totally dry and tasteless; the breading fell away in chunks; and the drumstick was no bigger than my thumb, making me wonder if I was eating something other than chicken. I usually get the scallops or strip steak, and I've never had a bad experience with either of those.
Arugula salad was ridiculously salty and inedible. The broccolletti had too much black pepper. The trout was tasty and again, too much red pepper.
First thing is Seth is not there! That is the reason for coming to Cellaio besides the food. We had reservations over a month in advance and were stuck at this huge round table out in the Sun room with a terrible view of the parking Lot. We had to pass out our own silverware and plates to each other after seated. We were given one basket of bread and a single tray of dipping sauce for 6 people! One of our friends received the wrong meal which was replaced but like 10 minutes after we all started to eat. We also had dessert and we had to again, distribute our plates amongst ourselves. The food was very good I will say but given the dining experience in a whole, it was disappointing to say the least. It was like sitting in a cafeteria like setting, serving yourself practically and eating great food. At $60.00 a person it would have been acceptable, but at a $110.00 a person, it was a huge letdown.
Our meal was amazing as usual, it was the perfect setting. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. I always have the filet which was exemplary, the potato purée and the fresh vegetables were magnificent. My husband choice of meat was the NewYork Strip which was simply amazing to say the least.
Third visit here. Servers untrained. Tap water no ice. No bread on table until we asked (brought it after the appetizer). Entree contained Calabrian chili peppers, that was not on the menu. Waiter did nothing to correct, we left the bulk of two $57 entrees on the plate, uneaten.
Would never go back. In NYC, this restaurant would never survive.
PS- both of us got sick later that night from the seasoning in the red sauce.
The restaurant decor and ambiance was really nice. The food was impeccable and the service was great.
I don’t know what is going on with your bills or the tab but the tip is automatically figured in looks like it’s tax but it’s very easy for somebody to accidentally double tabI would definitely get that tip line off your invoices
Everything overall was ok. Service was very unusual in the way they sat us down and would not bring drinks until food was completely ordered. I can understand the point they were trying to make but we were sitting on the table preparing for a dinner with six people there was zero chance we were not ordering dinner for them to make such a point about not delivering the drinks seems very much out of character for a restaurant even with rules that are in play today. It was just a huge turn off at the beginning of our experience at the place. I would recommend a place everything else was fine once we got started but it took a while. Once restrictions are lifted I would have zero issues of going back but until then I would be very hesitant.
Always have a good time when here. Food is consistent (although I did not enjoy the spinach this time around) and I enjoy that they have specials in addition to the main menu.
Always feels like a classy dining experience, even in this time in the world. The bread spreads offered at the start are always so good. The Parm garlic, the eggplant are my favorites.
The rib eye was buttery soft and had really good flavor. The scallops (4) are a lovely size and great taste. I usually have the honey amaretto gelato, its a must have.
Aside from being charged in error by my server (great service but not $80 tip worthy) and now awaiting a credit to my card, I was addressed as soon as I called by a manager and anticipate Zack will get it all worked out soon.
I was looking very forward to the experience and was very disappointed with the food. I was prepared for the expense because I picked out what I wanted before I got there but was not at all happy with the quality. However the service was great.
The food was amazing
We started with 3 Cesar salads and grilled octopus
Then we order 3 ribeye steaks, one ny strip, and one veal chop.
The waitress was great
The food was amazing ! I felt that I was back home in Italy . Ribeye steak was so so good ! Also we had the pasta with lobster and the taste was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant .
The staff is extremely friendly
Ate there during the covid pandemic so hard to give it a fair rating. I had the skirt steak with Brussel sprouts. Steak was tender. Had chimchurri sauce which was not that tasty. My husband had the fussili pasta which he liked. The few slices of bread they served were stale. Service was okay. I the only place open to dine at the Catskill casino. Just okay.
Fabulous and very spacious for social distancing would definitely dine again
Our waitress was excellent! She was so helpful with my wine decision and very personable.
Always good! Hate all the new COVID restrictions...but they did everything in order to keep us healthy...good service!!!
Amazing food, ribeye was incredible and all of the sides were great!! Service was great. Would definitely come back.
Entire staff was very polite and professional, our waiter was outstanding with excellent knowledge of menu and wine choices. Food was very good and cooked to perfection. This dinner was the highlight of our trip.
Our 21st Anniversary was a special day that was enhanced by a phenomenal meal from app to surprise dessert plate. Scott always makes mention that items on a plate must make sense and therefore the pictures here speak from themselves.
Food and service was very good everything was sanitized
Excellent food and drinks. We went with another couple and every thing was great.
Great food and service. Sam the waiter is the best. We love this restaurant and will be going back soon.
