Service overall was mostly ok. Lettuce wraps were disappointing. For $12, the Mediterranean dip was pretty skimpy on the celery and carrots. I got the prosciutto wrap chicken. Overall it was fine, but there was no prosciutto wrapping it. Considering the cost of this meal, probably recommend just getting the Sugarfire food outside.

The meal was average, the service was fine once we got a server however it didn’t seem like they had assigned seating to the servers we sat there for about 15 minutes without anyone addressing us. And we noticed that happen to quite a few other tables.

We took some city friends to Cedar Lake Winery for the first time yesterday. They LOVED and kep remarking how relaxing the outdoor patios, lake and fountain was; the most relaxing place they've gone to in years. Jennifer, Heather, Gab and Sam were fantastic staff, who kept an eye out for any of our needs. Cedar Lakes Winery is going to be our new "half way between" meet up place! Thanks to the wonderful staff, Cedar Lake Winery has it all, check out their events; even for covid era outdoor options: A+!

My only complaint is there were no vegetarian entrees (or even fish) on the lunch menu. What we got was great, but I prefer to eat healthier. Fabulous otherwise!

Enjoyed meeting the winemaker from California (Brian?)
He was very personable and responsive to our questions.
Also enjoyed meeting the manager, (Scott?).
He took the time to answer our questions and explain some of the recent changes.
He also told us the best times to visit.
The music, a single guitar player, was nice but louder than it needed to be.
We are looking forward to a return trip.

Nice setting with pretty lake and fountains. Limited (but decent) indoor restaurant, but tons of outdoor seating with regular tables and picnic tables. Two music stages (one indoors also very nice.

Fun place to go!

My best friend and I went to Cedar Lake Cellars to celebrate our birthdays together. The chocolate torte we had was delectable! Everything we had, including my salmon, was delicious and tasty. Definitely will be going there again.

No one at the reception to greet or seat. No food item available on the menu.
Don’t even carry a sparkling water.
Farro lettuce wraps were really bland and the Caesar salad was saucy like a pasta sauce.
Can’t believe they are on open table.

We had some difficulty with our initial service - Took a long time for initial greeting from the server. After we decided to move inside, we had to ask for service. However the food was absolutely fabulous, and the service we ended up receiving was good. Management did a great job of making up for the initial service shortfalls with comps.

The service was horrible. The wait staff was not wearing protective masks. The waitress got all the orders wrong and it took over an hour to get out food. When the bill came it was wrong and we had to take it to the manager to get it fixed. The waitress never asked us for refills and never checked in on us
I will not return to Cedar Lake

We had 2 big disappointments, I was directed to park in the fields with the mass of people there for the Mudder Event, even though I asked an attendant if I was in the right parking area for a winery reservation. I am in my 60's & I walked from behind the Bottle House to the winery in my good clothes & shoes, for 100's of yards, and was not very happy when I finally got to the winery. An attendant should have asked if you were there for the winery & directed you to the right parking area. Fortunately I was able to contact the rest of my party & tell them what to do, my 80 year old Mother has a hard time getting around let alone unable to "hike" thru fields. Speaking of my Mother, we were there to celebrate Mother's Day & my Birthday, when we needed to use the restrooms, we had to go outside the building & up a hill to the outdoor facilities. We were told the indoor restrooms could not be used when events were happening. Seriously? I strongly suggest you reconsider that policy. We did have a good lunch & service, and a good time overall & will return as our prior visits were very enjoyable. Just please don't let the big "events" overshadow the day & remember the senior generation's special needs.

The prime rib was amazing however the seasonal vegetables were almost all peppers(6-7 pieces) with only 1 piece of zucchini and 2 pieces of asparagus. I’ve been here multiple times and normally it’s more zucchini and squash so maybe it was just a bad night. Our service also could’ve been better. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks at one point because it took so long before our server came back.

Very disappointed. We’ve been going regularly since they opened. Love the beautiful location and tasting room. But they had no Pinot Grigio other than a kind available at Walmart. Having a decent calif wine was main reason for going. Salmon tasty but dried out over cooked. Waitress. Attitudinal. Things have gone very far downhill.

I have been to Cedar Lake several times. As usual food was superb, service slow—but I never go there when in a hurry.
I was, however, keenly disappointed in the lack of masks (NO staff wore masks) and lack of social distancing. It was as if Covid was not happening.
I will not return until Covid is beat. I will not recommend Cedar Lake at this time

We had the braised short ribs and they were phenomenal. I had reservations but was surprised they still sat us outside considering it was about 55 degrees. Also, I think it’s the only place I’ve been that doesn’t have their employees wear masks. It’s scary enough with so many people packing in there that won’t wear them, but to not have a single employee wear one seems reckless and as if they don’t care. This is by far my favorite winery and we always have a great time, it’s just something I noticed. Again the food was fantastic and the wine is always good.

We’ve celebrated our anniversary. The ambience is great and service as well. The food options are limited and not vegetarian/gluten-free/vegan friendly.
I had the fettuccine pasta and it was not good, but my boyfriend had the ribs with smash potatoes and veggies and he said it was delicious.

Our server was wonderful - attentive, knowledgeable, friendly.
The food was very good. Not much of a selection, and not much for presentation. My husband ordered a draft beer, and it was served in a plastic “souvenir” type cup. I expected more effort in the $30pp price range.
The outside dining definitely detracted from the experience. It was too loud and the tables were too small. There needs to be a separate outside patio just for dining. Overall, not a memorable birthday dining experience.

Nice atmosphere, took a very long time to get our dinner. Over an hour after we ordered. Band playing was very loud. We had to yell to hear each other. Seated outside mind you, inside dining would have been less noisy. Will definitely go back and give another chance, but for inside dining. If you are going to drink and not expect a nice more romantic dinner you will be fine.

We enjoyed our time at Cedar Lake Cellars, however, during this time of Covid, we were hoping to see the staff wearing masks, more disinfecting, a more organized routing system to socially distance when moving and standing around. Large crowds need more reminders and structure during this pandemictime. Our waitress made us very uncomfortable not respecting social distancing.
The food was good and the band was great.
