great food and ambiance will come again great meeting place to visit old friends
Too noisy, waiter seemed to have too many tables to serve.
Cedar Creek Grille has probably the best French onion soup in Cleveland.
We had trout witch was very delicious. Also had fish tacos, which was good as well but I am used to having more of other things with it like shredded red cabbage, yellow corn, guacamole etc. Our waiter wasn’t that great, he never checked on us or asked if food was good. I have very high standards for that so my girlfriend convinced me to leave 20% but he wasn’t worth it we just felts sorry for him. Anyhow overall experience was positive and if I will be in the area I will come back just will ask for another waiter.
Very nice! The food was delicious! The service was good! The atmosphere was festive!
We enjoyed our drinks and dinner. Service was great.
We will return soon.
Way too noisy!!! We came in with children, asking for a quiet table, and should have been places in the side room, not in the bar area.
Great go-to place in the neighborhood!
I had a dish I have tried numerous times. It was not nearly as tasty as it usually is. the person I was treating enjoyed it. Our waiter was not attentive and we tried desperately many times to get his attention for various reasons. The restaurant was extremely cold.
Lunch with old friends
Ceder Creek Crill is one of our favorite restaurants reasonably close to where we live.
It is energetic, the service, the bar and the food are very good.
We dined last Saturday night with another couple and were comfortly seated in a booth. Despite this, the background noise was so loud it was difficult to carry on a decent conversation with our friends.
This is a major criticism I have for many of the Cleveland restaurants, and this one is no exception.
Food was fantastic, as always. We have eaten here several times and are very satisfied with our meals. Our waiter was a little too busy with his 6+ parties. We were finished with our salads when he brought the bread. The steak knife came after we tried cutting the meat with the table knife. We also had trouble getting his attention for the check. He was very nice, but seemed overworked.
Crab cakes were salty and smaller than other venue’s offerings. Food came out almost immediately after ordering. Bread wasn’t presented early in the meal and I had to ask for it. Empty plates stayed on our table much longer than one would expect. We were finished with meals long before they cleared the table and dessert menus finally presented. Overall meals were okay, service was just okay, a bit disappointing for visiting this establishment for the first time. Wouldn’t rule this place out without giving it another try, but can’t rave about it based on this particular overall dining experience.
The grilled artichoke appetizer is delicious! We have it every time we dine there.
Everything was great including my birthday dessert
Had a lovely dinner with relatives from out of town, whom we hadn't seen in several years. We all enjoyed the excellent service, food, and relaxing environment.
Food looked good but lacked flavor-substance. Waiter not knowledgable and not up to the caliber needed for a restaurant so beautiful. Owners need to pay closer attention. Management is not.
This was my first time here. My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and my birthday with four others. The restaurant was my choice. The food and service was good, however the air conditioning had broken and it was hotter then hell. I could not wait to get out of there. You would think that a classy restaurant would have the capability of having the problem fixed quickly. We did not order dessert or second round of drinks because of this. I think some compensation should have been made for the situation. I am sure the OWNERS would not have appreciated dining there that night. They were probably somewhere where the air conditioning worked.
Overall good. I wouldn't mind going back. So many other good restaurants I'm the area. Pork ribs were good. Service was good; didn't see Max that often, but usually wasn't looking for him. I think he was just subtle in refilling water and removing plates.
Food was delicious! I was in town to meet with my grendmother and friends.
On the plus side, the food is good and the service was attentive. The menu is somewhat limited, very basic, and if you’re strictly vegetarian or vegan you might think twice. Food is fresh and locally sourced according to their menu and web site. We didn’t ask if they have a wine list; the menu had a very short list. It seemed excessively noisy when we sat down although we were able to converse with our friends without too much trouble. Prices are on the high side, but seem to reflect quality of ingredients and preparation.
Great place and great atmosphere and would go back and tell others
I live in Los Angeles. This is my GO TO place every time I get to Cleveland. The Salmon is off the charts, DELISH!
Service was great, they have an enthusiastic staff. Food was delicious and a great value. Would definitely go again.
First visit and a pleasant surprise. I recommend!
Food was amazing from the pasta to the steak to the salmon everything was cooked to perfection
The food was good. The service was slow and inattentive. We did not receive our bread. We ordered more drinks and it was a very long time to receive them. After complaining to the front and asking for
different service, our request was not endorsed. The overall experience was unsatisfactory.
Two of our party enjoyed the ribs, one had Linsey’s shrimp and one had the burger. All of the meals were excellent. We also enjoyed the Key Lime pie for dessert.
The service was a little slow which is very rare. Usually we have quicker responses to our requests. It was very busy so that could have been the reason.
Had steak and potatoes, no red, and it came out red red. Yukon potatoes had no taste whatsoever. This was my second time here and my first was excellent. This time horrible.
The waiter was beyond friendly and efficient and helped make the lunch fun. The ambience of Cedar Creek is always a draw.
We go to Cedar Creek regularly, and the service is generally good to very good. Last night it was awful. We had a reservation. The restaurant was not crowded. But we were seated in a booth in the bar area. Had to ask for crackers and bread (never did get the bread), had to wait until I could make eye contact with the bartender/waitress to order, and had to ask for our check. Very disappointing on a quiet Monday night.
The egg Benedict’s were delicious but the veggie, asparagus, omelette was hard and dry. Won’t order that again.
The atmosphere, food and service were great! It was a pleasure to be in a restaurant and not have air conditioning blowing in excess on me. The temperature was perfect and the room with the patio is lovely.
We discovered this spot on Open Table and are glad we did. It is a very nice, moderately priced place that is very popular. Nice menu of a wide range of contemporary American dishes. We had steak and frites as well as crab cakes as entrees -- both excellent. Tasty side dish offerings, and wonderful soups. Obviously a popular place for groups too as we saw several party gatherings.
Only downside is that we had to wait about 20 minutes even with our reservation, and it is located within a very congested and rather small shopping strip.
Good menu BUT highly variable. I have had excellent and horrible meals here. During my most recent visit I sent my salmon back twice because it was over cooked. The crab cakes I ordered as the sub were all breading and minimal crab. I’ve had them before and they were much better. The to go order was also over cooked and my daughter didn’t eat it.
Don’t know if I will return.
We were there with a party of 6 and the service was horrible. It was not usually like this. The fish was overcooked and the trout dinner ran out of the lobster sauce. The manager tried to make it better and did give us free desserts. I normally enjoy my dinner but it was an off night.
We all enjoyed our dinners and no complaint about our server. Many people wrote the service was slow but that did not happen to us. It was a friend's birthday and she got a nice sundae. The noise level is a bit loud but we still had a nice evening.
Everything was awesome and professional. The food is outstanding. Love the veggie burger.
Our first visit was a good experience. Generous portions of well-prepared food, great service, comfortable setting. A bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. We will certainly be back again...
The server was very friendly, but it took almost 40 minutes before he came to take our order. He only did so after we made eye contact with him and asked him to come over. He had not offered prior to that. As we were on a business lunch, that was a long time. Multiple servers then proceeded to bring the wrong orders to our table. As we suspected, they were for another table. When they brought the correct orders for our table, they still got one of the orders wrong, but the guest kept it and ate it anyway. This wasn't the level of service I had had previously at this restaurant, nor would I expect it of a restaurant of this type.
The food was tasty. Everyone was happy. Just not a great showing for our out-of-town guests.
