Enjoyed the Idaho rainbow trout and the filet. Good appetizers including deviled eggs, lobster bisque and beefsteak tomatoes. Make your own desert was s novel idea. I had chocolate ice cream, hot fudge and walnuts.
Good food. Salmon just a tad dry. Calamari was great. My husband had the sliced sirloin with arugula and fries and he loved it!!
Service was adequate, but restaurant lost power half way though and probably threw everything off. Shared some appetizers and they were the stars of the dinner. Entrees were meh, and not enticing enough that when I’m on the east side I’d would saunter back.
Great meal. Try the ribs! The waiter, Max, was really attentive and friendly. We were there for a graduation dinner and it was special. It’s very loud so that was difficult but the meal was superb.
My friend said no onions in salad but was full of onions. She picked them out. Another friend asked if lettuce for salad was spring. He said no. Full of spring. She ate only the shrimp. No adjustments on bill.
Love the bread staters with sunflower seeds. Calamari was over cooked and smelled very fishy. Truffles fries were excellent and so was the trout. The server was nice, but was not very attentive, as we waited patiently for our check. I would definitely try it again, as this was my first time, but am not in a hurry to go back.
Consistent quality after multiple visits. Nice environment and an inviting bar.
This was my third visit to Cedar Creek Grille.
The service last night was the worst and based on the early hour and the number of open tables I don't think it could be blamed on Mother's Day. We were seated for 17 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or brought water. We never saw our waiter. We were attended to by a server - a very engaging man. But the waiter never even acknowledged us despite passing by and assisting surrounding tables. I sincerely hope he didn't get the tip.
I had forgotten how dark the interior is. I asked if we could be seated on the patio but was told the tables were reserved. There were 2 (unrelated) parties seated there with lots of open space the entire time we were there. This isn't a great restaurant if you are with older people and want to talk as there is too much background noise.
The Mothers Day buffet was not their best face forward. The food was luke warm at best; the Sterno failed. Example: Normally their mashed potatoes are creamy and steamy with texture. On the buffet they were gelatinous blobs of starch. Fish was well cooked, but warm and lacking in flavor; sauces would have helped. Dessert consisted of three plates of brown cookies and a bowl of something round and brown that looked like profiteroles but lacking any of the usual condiments. I'll accept responsibility for a bad choice. I regret not sticking to the regular menu. But lack of quality falls on CCG. Nonetheless in baseball and in restaurants Three strikes and you're out. And on Cleveland's East Side there are options.
Everything was presented nicely and the food taste great. The ambiance was lovely. The dessert for the buffet ran out fast. I will consider returning in the near future for lunch and/ or dinner.
Very nice mother's day brunch. Very good food, outstanding service and a comfortable setting with nice booths and spacing between tables. A professionally run restaurant, a pleasure to experience in Cleveland, where this is pretty rare. We will look forward to returning to this excellent restaurant.
Mother's Day Brunch was a very good value and the food was decent. Normally the restaurant has good service but on this day it was fair to poor as the 20% was already included in my bill and there was no incentive by my waiter to check in more often.
Mother’s Day Brunch was amazing! Everything there is great. I went the day before as well and the Salad I had was amazing!
Mother’s Day! We had a great experience!
Love the vegie burger, best in the area! Noise level is bad making it difficult to hear.
Came in with my wife, mom, and mother in law for a Mother's Day dinner. Server Derrick had good intentions but was just ok, he said he put in the salads for my mom, wife, and mother in law but they never got them. Took him a while to get back after our dinner came our, had to wait to order desserts and then he got them a little messed up as my wife and mother in law both ordered the sundae but he only brought out one for them to split. Now as for the food, the stuffed meatball appetizer was very good and my mom enjoyed her half kale salad once it finally came out, my mother in law also really enjoyed her French onion soup. As for the meals my mom got the short ribs they were tender and good, my wife got the fillet and hers was under seasoned and slightly undercooked it was a little more rare than medium, her brocolinni was good. I got the ribeye and it was cooked very well but tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all especially to be the house spice rubbed ribeye, pretty disappointing. Mother in law did enjoy her steak frites. When it did come time for dessert my mom enjoyed her creme brûlée. I really had my heart set on the key lime pie but they were out and that was so disappointing. I settled for the chocolate lava cake but there wasn't much "lava" to it, it was just a dense chocolate cake. The sundae that did make it to the table didn't have any candied pecans and was just ice cream hot fudge and whipped cream. Overall just felt like I could have had a much better experience for $200
First visit, definitely not the last.
Server was friendly and knowledgeable.
Very nice decor.
Food was delicious!
Great food and service for Mother’s Day family dinner!
We celebrated Mother’s Day a day early. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere...especially Mom! Thanks!!
Great food and great service. Servers are very attentive which is important to a good dining experience
Food and service were great. Nice atmosphere. Only negative was the noise level.
Our party of four ordered the lobster bisque (2), apple slaw side (2), Caesar Salad, Kale salad, the trout and Lindys shrimp and pasta. All of our selections were well prepared and tasty. Our service was excellent. Cedar Creek never disappoints.
We love the seeded crackers that Cedar Creek serves. Brought someone who has never been to the restaurant, and the waiter brought us bread. asked about the crackers and they were being baked. He diligently brought us some when they were ready!! Our "newbie" to CCG is anxious to bring her husband there
Excellent meal in a nice atmosphere. A little noisy and a little pricey, but enjoyable. I would go back for a special occasion.
Wonderful atmosphere for a special evening with my mother. The staff were very hands on and personable. Food was amazing - tasty, as requested, superb combinations and a super meal. Lovely environment with great opportunity to people watch.
Early Mother’s Day dinner. Food was excellent, especially the short and pork rib entrees. Service was prompt and attentive. Definitely will go back again.
Came here for a birthday dinner. Service was great and the food was very tasty.
Birthday celebration. Left message on our open table reservation. However the waitress did not acknowledge at end of meal. Service slow. She seemed to be put off on some requests. Did not feel welcome as with other servers I’ve had here. French onion soup was sub par. Bread too hard.
We were seated by the bar, and it was too noisy for us. Service was very good as was the quality of the food.
We have enjoyed every visit, very good service. unfortunately it is too noisy for a quiet intimate dinner.
Just a little too noisy. Music loud. Server was slow. Forgot saled, empty drinks etc.
Lunch is always done well. I have often been very disappointed at dinner. The waiter, food , atmosphere, and noise level. Seems to be totally different and we often avoid you.
Lunch was fine - nothing special. The service was good. It was a bit nosier than I like, but the restaurant was quite full.
Food was very good as usual. Had a party of 10 and where they put us was so loud I couldn’t hear the person sitting directly across from me.
Dinner was excellent, service was awful, took 20 minutes to get a waiter to come to the table after we were seated. Asked the hostess 2x for someone to come to the table so we could order drinks! Had to ask the waiter to light our candle in the middle of the table. Then service was fine. Might not be the waiter's fault. maybe low staff that night. But you all lost on a whole round of extra drinks!
The service was excellent, as usual. The slow roasted chicken I had is usually delicious but, this time, it was under cooked, showing red meat. The waiter took it back and when he returned, the chicken was more cooked but, he said the kitchen cooks it purposely to have red in it. Didn't make sense to me since I've ordered it numerous times in the past and it was perfect. My husband had the crab cakes and he said they were very good.
Max was an excellent waiter.
One of my favorite go-to spots on the East Side of Cleveland. The happy hour is one of the best! Great food prices and goes late enough so I can actually make it in time.
We love Cedar Greek. The only problem with this restaurant is the size of the forks. They are so huge that it’s difficult to get them in your mouth!
The noise makes conversations difficult!
Stopped in for dinner later in the evening. Didn't appear too busy. Service was fairly slow and inattentive. Couldn't tell if the server had too many tables to explain the wait from sitting to ordering and delivery of bread. Asked another staff member (?Bus boy) but also didn't get a service response. Food was well prepared. Drinks were also well prepared.
