We were staying at The Ned for just one night and thought we’d book breakfast in Cecconi’s . Both myself and good friend were celebrating our 60th birthdays with our husbands too . We were shown to a round table in the middle of the restaurant. At first glance the restaurant looked quiet so we were surprised that we had to wait for quite a while before our orders were taken . When our orders were taken for breakfast we were served our hot drinks but food took a while . One of the senior waiters came and apologised about the wait but that explained that they had 2 large parties arrive at the same time and were very busy serving them . He took the cost of the hot drinks off our bill. This was good , we appreciated and accepted his apologies. On the whole our experience was very good and when the food arrived it was excellent.
Quite a funny thing - I was presented with a 40th birthday cake !! Very nice thought just 20 years out 😳! Our waitress was lovely though and it provided us a good laugh 🤣and some surprising photo memories.
Great place in the ned and good overall experience. Would definitely return
I love the atmosphere, service and food! I had a brilliant time celebrating a birthday here.
Service was very attentive and great. The T-bone steak was cooked to perfection and delicious so were the starters.
Great eve just slightly noisy but still nice atmosphere especially the live music was great.
Very nice meal in a lovely restaurant environment, the waiter was very attentive and service was quick
I’ve been before and thought my last visit provided better value. I do think over £45 for a very average bottle of red Italian wine is a little steep even for the City.
Clearly a popular spot.Food ok service ok.A little expensive for what it was but we are where we are.Very noisy but that's what happens in bank buildings
Overpriced Italian food, my seafood pasta was luke warm, my friends pasta was all stuck together. Small serves for price. Service was ok, average at best. Very loud space, couldn’t even hear people at my own table. Is it a band venue or a resturant? Amazing space, but likely hyped. Don’t rate.
The food was well below average.
A very lovely spot for dinner in the City of London.
I thought the waiters were great. The venue was really special. All in all a great evening. Thank you.
Far, far, too loud. To the point where it was painful. There was a band playing early in the evening. They weren’t that good.
Fun atmosphere otherwise.
Tucked around a corner, with slow service, well overpriced food and drink (small orange juice - £4), not hot enough and very poorly presented on the plate - felt like a factory dishing out product - maitre d' unfriendly in dealing with returning coat from coatcheck. Not impressed at all, falling short of another Cecconi in Shoreditch and Soho House group in general. Trading off their name and ripping off clientele from prime location in London.
Had a marvellous lunch with my daughter as it was her birthday, she insisted on going and I didnt regret it at all, great place!
For a special occasion, I would highly recommend The Ned. Throughout all of their restaurants their service is impeccable.
Best mousse ever!
Table 'magician' ruined the evening. Would not go again simply to avoid that experience..
Fabulous venue for personal or professional catch ups - exceptional food and decor
It was absolutely fabulous.
The ambience was so good with the live band really creating the mood. The service was excellent too, attentive waiter who was super friendly and helpful.
It’s a great venue for a special occasion, and even though it is a big place it’s laid out very well and is very romantic. Highly recommended
Attentive staff and delicious food (although lacking on veggie options) and great vibes with the live music.
Interesting environment , good service and tasty food but spoilt by very high noise level making dinner conversation almost impossible .
My fiancé took me here for my birthday and it was a lovely treat. Everything was perfect, from walking through the doors and seeing the beautiful architecture and how the original features have been kept. We dined at Cecconi’s. It felt warm and cosy and the service and food was excellent. Definitely return need to return as I looked up about the Ned’s history and want to look at what was mentioned in the article.
My crab salad was actually off. It smelled and tasted not fresh. When I complained, the waiter and manager launched an investigation. The head chef admitted that they had had a delivery of crab and one of the bags smelled badly. They took my crab off the bill and gave me a small discount on the bill but it was a terrible lunch and I will never go back.
Overall excellent place! The server was however quite rude and we were half forced into ordering more than we needed. In the ended had to take away an entire dish we didn't want!
Good food great service Thankyou
We thought it was overpriced for very average food - nothing was special even the lobster pasta dish ... salad was bland and unexciting
Been a few times. We wanted a photo by the vault door downstairs but to my surprise the women at the desk rudely refused us. Very embarrassing, considering it was a photo. We felt very belittled. Sad for it being a special Christmas Eve.
Anniversary. Lovely restaurant with live music and food was spot on. The waiters provide brilliant service, always topping up your drinks and never waiting for anything. They also gave a little treat at the end for my anniversary which was a very nice touch. Definitely recommend.
Food is good, service is very very slow!!!
Delicious food, service could have been a bit faster had to repeat questions a few times and staff seemed too busy but fabulous greeting from the staff at the front desk - will come again!
Food is very average for the price, as was the bottle of wine we ordered. Really nice ambience though.
Great venue but the food is always very average.
Both our main course were barely warm
Service however is excellent
Very attentive staff and although very busy we weren't rushed. Nice food served in nice surroundings.
Place to be! Great food, Nice staff and a very great ambiance!
When we visited it was very busy so VERY noisey! Not somewhere for an intimate meal for two! Waiting staff were slow taking our order so rushing us at end of our 2hr slot.
Great service, great food, and always a buzzing lively atmosphere! Love the ned and the food at cecconis is such elegant Italian comfort food!
Great place to eat but the cloak room lost my coat which basically ruined my night
Slow and poor service, Burrata starter was dry and awful.
Cold coffee, fridge-cold smoked salmon, cold mushrooms. £30
