The place is a real gem which walks on the footsteps of its Maltese counterpart yet ensures a clear Hungarian imprint in its design as well as in the menu.     We were in Budapest on vacation. This was a terrific dining experience. The staff was professional and truly went out of their way to make the experience an outstanding one. Our waiter, Victor and the somm, George, were first class. Definitely recommend....

    Awesome restaurant and service and food. We had the opportunity in having desert in the kitchen and watch the chefs at work - it was amazing.

    Great food and great attentive service. Very impressed with both. A bit pricey for how much was served. Ambience is not in keeping with price, but very nice.

    Terrible service just drop food off and no attention to detail. The kitchen bell ring the whole nite felt like a dinner. Plus the lights of the dinning room to bright felt like the inside of an airport, we ask to turn it down and they said one table wanted to have high so they management let one customer ruin the evening for the rest of the patrons. Will never go back not worth the $800 that I spend.

    This meal was outstanding. The staff goes out of their way to make the tasting menu an exceptional dining experience. A meal of this quality would cost triple the amount in the states. If you get the chance, it is a must.The cosmopolitan does not disappoint!

    I went here while on holiday and this was by far the best restaurant I went to in Budapest (I did go to several gourmet restaurants). I had the tasting menu and it was outstanding. There was lots of good quality products including lobster, foie gras and caviar. Everything was cooked to perfection and very innovative. The service was outstanding. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star!

    Absolutely a foodie experience. From the warmth of the room’s decor -which I would describe as sleek and modern yet inviting to all the care provided by the staff and then of course the food, this lace is a gem. The first amuse bouche was a gel-agar mouthful appearing as an olive and filled with olive juice. Even the serving was clever with two spoons bent backwards. The next morsel was a little cracker with truffles nestled on a black currant jam. Drinks (full bar) were well crafted. The sommelier, victoria, guided us with our dinner accompaniments. Since the exchange and language was a bit difficult she paired us well with Hungarian white wines that we wanted to try without spending an arm and a leg. Victor, our waiter shared a secret about his favorite appetizer - calamari fried with black squid ink bread crumbs and Himalayan salt with “lime caviar” which offered a great squeeze of fresh lime juice all served in a “fish & chips” newsprint bag. Great start. We were so glad to try “popcorn lobster” which was not just beautifully presented but tasty in that you could not tell it was fried -it was light and crispy. So -amenities? Bread baked fresh (3 types) with 3 different types of salt and clever containers of black lava rock with two holes in each -one appeared to be a large pill....oh no, it was a tablet to drop into other hole where it “grew” to a warm cloth. The attention to detail was amazing. My husband claimed that he enjoyed (would NOT share) the best duck with a port wine sauce and fennel. I was so full that I had gnocchi in a Gorgonzola sauce and whiskey from appie menu. It is hard to imagine that this sauce could possibly be so full of flavor without being unbearably rich -they mastered it. Okay big confession -no room for dessert but they looked scrumptious. I cannot stress the value for the food. It was the best way to start our Danube!
