My daughter and I love this place! Our waiter Isaac has become like family.
Food has been great each time I’ve been. The service was always done with a smile and it makes a difference. Atmosphere always helps too.
Three friends and I had asked for a quiet table and was shown to a table in a small nook. We could still hear the piano player but it was in the background. Our waiter was extraordinary in that he checked on us every few minutes but never rushed us or seemed impatient as we spent a long evening (2+ hrs) visiting and dining. The food, as usual, was excellent as we ordered the eggplant parmigiana, and one of their signature chicken dishes. The Key Lime Pie was the perfect light ending to a wonderful meal and evening.
Birthday celebration. Chad is awesome! We love Cavatore’s. It’s the best!!!!
This is one of our favorites. Over the years we have been there many times. It is always the same. The food was great and the service could be a little better, but it was ok. My biggest complaint is the sound level. Sometimes it is just too loud
Great food and great service!
We has a rookie waiter who could not keep up with tables. I would call it a blip we normally have the best service and food there will still go back
We had a great time here last week. Service was wonderful, food was good, and the piano player was fantastic. Made for a relaxing, entertaining evening with friends.
We love Cavatore's! We dine here often and have always had great food and service. Isaac is our favorite waiter.
We always love to go here for special occasions. Great place!
It was our first time at CAVATORE, and we were pleased with the food and the service. I will definitely go back. The piano was a bonus and made dinner more intimate.
Waiter was not the usual Cavetore caliber not extremely outgoing plus orders were not correct
We come there at least four times a month and this was a disappointment after all we had bragged about to our guests.
I have been coming to "Cavatore's" for 30 years next month, whether lunch or dinner, it has always been EXCELLENT!!! The entire staff is always courteous and professional, a credit to the owner Federico and his family!!!
My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on that day and belatedly celebrating our friends 2nd anniversary. The Maitre D` was aware of the special occasion and, although she shared the information with our waiter, he never acknowledged our special day even when we told him again when he came to offer dessert. In addition the caesar salad prepared at the table was poorly made and lacked taste. The meals were disappointing - - the fettuccini alfredo was only spaghetti with a tasteless cream sauce and the chicken piccata was closer to a marsala product. The meals were not served hot.
We have been coming to Cavatore's for years and have never experienced such inattentiveness and surly attitude from their staff and certainly did not expect the meal itself to be so disappointing.
Certainly not worth the price or time.
Very accomadating to group of 10 people. Let us have separate checks and gave us a private room. Owner run resteraunts always has excellent service.
Amazing food and service!! This will be a repeater for us!!! Loved it!!
Cavatore is a fab place for a personal or professional lunch. This visit was true to form...food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Highly recommended!!
The ceasar salad is the best. We continue to go often for special occasions.
Fabulous restaurant! Wonderful food and great music!
Great food, great service! Everyone is so friendly! The food is authentic!
Nice atmosphere! Enjoyed our food and dessert.
We have dined at Cavatore's many times. The food and service are always excellent. It is truly a jewel in our Timbergrove/Heights neighborhood.
One of my favorite places. Always like to here live piano music. Food is always good; love their creamy Italian salad dressing, garlic bread and my favorite, their cannelloni.
As always the food and service were fabulous.
Its was ok...nothing too great. The place was cool.
It had been several years since I last visited Cavatore and it was just as delicious as I remember. The food was amazing!!! I was so full but could NOT pass up the white mousse in the candied bowl. Wonderful!!!
This is by far our favorite Italian restaurant in Houston. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, love that there is piano music, and did I say, the food is delicious. Aside from these positives, the restaurant has such a comfortable feel and good energy!
We had a wonderful dinner, great service, lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed the live piano music, the pianist was talented & personable.
I know what good Italian food is, and I've never had better. I can't wait to go back.
They really put too much tomato sauce on food. I was scraping off most of the tomato sauce. If I go back I’ll ask for 1/2 of what they normally use.
Also, what would be a romantic venue, was over run with loud children and babies.
In following with other reviews, the ambiance and feel of Cavatore is great. It's both quirky, and very Italian feeling from the inside. The only drawback is that the wait staff could be more attentive. Keeping in mind that it was Mother's Day, I was more than pleased that getting a table was possible, and my party did arrive later than expected. My only gripe would be that once seated, it did take quite some time to place our order as well as get our food. I'd still recommend this restaurant.
A great location to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and daughter. Wonderful meal and great atmosphere to make the experience wonderful.
We had a party of 7 for Mother's Day and everyone enjoyed the food, piano player and the atmosphere!
Food, music servers were great, only complaint was the $3 charge because we split an entree.
Chris gave us a wonderful evening of service & patience. Explained everything and was very attentive.
We were disappointed. The calamari was fishy tasting and rubbery, like it was dated. The red snapper was overcooked and also tasted dated, not fresh. My husband's carbonara was tasteless. I couldn't even drink my Chardonnay. Cavatore is a vendor for my company. On occasion we cater in from them but, man, this was a very poor experience. The wait for items was extremely long. There was a large prom party and it's evident that the kitchen was overwhelmed. It was a wasted evening for us. Manager Roberto did take the snapper off the bill. Don't know if we'll return. I'd rather drive to Enoteca Rossa in Bellaire or North Italia, Grottos, or other nice Italian restaurants in the Houston area.
Our favorite restaurant in town. We go there for special occasions--this one was the visit of a daughter and granddaughter from Seattle. Also go occasionally just for a great meal and a married "date." Wonderful selection of authentic Italian offerings, and the best Caesar salad in town. Live piano music adds to the pleasant atmosphere.
The tableside prep of the Caesar Salad is great - delicious salad. Food was outstanding. My parents were visting from Austin and it will be our new favorite place.
Mrs. Piano lady was fabulous. We really enjoyed the music during our dinner.
Our waiter was friendly and jolly. His service and timing was excellent.
The Food was great for you pasta lovers!
They also provided a greatly timed birthday dessert and song to end our evening. Mrs. Piano lady came in right on queue to help us sing the birthday song to my sister. It was a fun time!
