Had an enjoyable dinner with my wife at Catch 31 this evening. We sat in the Salacia dinning room. The menu was rather limited, however the food was excellent.
Waitress was very attentive. Food exceeded expectations
Fantastic place to get well fed, portions were good and the food was excellent
My sisters friend and I brought my sister here for her birthday ! When I say it was soooo nice and clean. Our server , Teig (I think) was the sweetest ! Food was delicious and they give you a hearty amount ! Definitely recommended!
Really enjoyed my visit ! haven’t been since I was about 12 and now i’m 21 AMAZING !
Food and service was great!! I definitely will be retuning!

Horrible visit. Online menu and actual menu are not even close. Made reservations for an anniversary dinner as the online menu stated King Crab was available. It wasn't. Opted for two other fish dishes that were on the menu. They weren't available either. To the restaurant, make sure your menus match as patrons make reservations based on what you "say" you have on the menu. Needless to say what was supposed to be a great anniversary dinner ended up being appetizers and wine. Very, very, VERY, disappointing.
Food was amazing. Service was incredible! Will definitely return in the near future
Our meal was delicious and our server, Phillip, was phenomenal. It was our first dinner out in a long time and such a treat.
Food was a 3 out of 5 at best. They were out of the first 2 bottles of wine I ordered. Waiter was kind but NOT trained. Could not open a bottle of wine and was talking about the $10 bottle he likes from Walmart. Food was overcooked. Back room had no ambiance to speak of.
My fiancé and I had a very pleasant dinner experience for Valentines Day night. Our server was very positive and quick. Loved the ambiance and definitely recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience. I ordered the lobster Mac n’ cheese and loved it!
I vacation in Va Beach three to four times a year. Catch 31 was a must stop. I made reservations a month ago for Valentine's Day. We arrived on time and were given a table right next to the door to the patio. The freezing air was coming right under and around the door. I asked if we could be moved. The manager came, acknowledged he felt cold but there was nothing he could do. We ate, paid or $100 bill, and tipped at 20% like we always do. I didn't want a discount, didn't want a freebie. I wanted to be treated like the loyal customers we were. I will find other restaurants to do business with going forward.
Nash was an excellent waiter, immediately set the tone for a great valentine's day romantic dinner. Appeared to comply well with all covid standards. Branzino was delicious, oyster options were great. Highly recommend!
Went to Catch 31 on Valentine's Day the experience was great and food was amazing.
My fiancé and I had a fun and amazing time on Valentine's Day
Overall good the lunch menu was very limited especially for a day like Valentines day.
I am aware that dinner was the planned specials just would have thought they would have had something for lunch also.
nice place to eat. I would come back to this restaurant, my thought is that i would recomend dinner instead of lunch there. loved the customer service.
The best seafood restaurant in the va beach area and I’ve been to many.
Food is just so so - I think you are paying just for the atmosphere.
Definitely a vibe! Need more side options though.
Food was the excellent and it was just a short get away for hubby and i and they made date night wonderful. Sat us right away even though we were a little early and the attention was just right...Thank You
My wife and I went for dinner on Friday night and we were disappointed. The food was ok and service was just ok. They have a covid menu that is no where what it used to be and lacks choices.
Great food and great service. We ate at Catch 31 for our whole weekend. Thanks so much!
Food was great. Hubby didn’t enjoy the fish and the artichoke dip with crab dip was good, however the crab pieces were nonexistent for an extra $6. Lol. You might as well just order the artichoke dip without the crab dip.
Service was great I asked for suggestions and he was on point ! I forgot his name but great service wife and I was there for her birthday dinner and she really enjoyed it thanks a bunch I had a 7pm reservation and table was ready at 7. Thumbs up for that
Our waiter was it wonderful dinner was delicious we had a very nice evening
We ate at Catch 31 after enjoying HH drinks and appetizers at the Igloos at the Sky Bar. The waitress was pleasant and very accommodating. The food was delicious! Folks sitting in the dining room were adequately spaced out and we felt comfortable with the restaurant’s COVID 29 protocol. We enjoyed a romantic midweek dinner by the beach!
It was wonderful
Waiter service was excellent. Able to answer all of our questions!
Our server was great. Came in for my spouse's birthday. Shrimp appetizer was good. Our entree was good, just don't recommend potato wedges with seafood. Made the meal heavy. Other than that everyone nice.
Great food and good service
This used to be super high end dining. Most seafood restaurants have non seafood options for those that can’t have it or don’t like it. They one dish that is no seafood so just be aware if you have any one in your party that does not like or eat seafood - the only thing they can have is a $40 steak!!! To me that is ridiculous given the fact that this is a huge tourist spot with people from all over and various tastes to only Offer one dish not seafood.
The waiter we had was extremely nice and remembered our order perfectly the first time around even without a notepad. Will definitely be going back.
Long wait time even with reservation. Host compensated by paying for our first round of drinks.
Everything was EXCELLENT!!!
The food was good. Service was okay.
Dead, dried up poinsettia plants were all over the tables. Server touched his face and mask a lot. We watched him place dirty plates on the floor while he boxed up some to go food next to us.
This was my second visit to Catch31 and I was a little disappointed. My family of four was seated in a small room off to the side, which just didn't have the same ambience as the main dining room. Once we sat down, the server started the night off informing us of all that was wrong with the restaurant: No soup of the day, draft beers were unavailable, and there were no other specials being offered. But we were perfectly content ordering off of their phenomenal menu. Unfortunately, our food was just average. The clam chowder was bland and my bronzed salmon meal came with some mushy greens that I couldn't even eat. Appetizer (calamari) was great and dessert good although all three options had ice cream which I can't eat. I guess my expectations for a $230 meal are a bit higher - just wasn't worth the money this time around.
Everything was great I love a great plate of food and I can honestly say the rate pass 5 stars yum yum
Great date night. We went here.as a night away and had a lovely dinner. Nash was an amazing server! Totally would go again
