   It was such an amazing dinner! They sat us outside near their fire pit tables, and I really appreciated that concession since I know outside seating requests can't be guaranteed. The service was phenomenal, our server really did an amazing job, he was conscientious without being obtrusive and the food was delicious. It wasn't my first time there, and it will not be my last. They never fail to disappoint!

   Although the food was good, the noise levels prevented my wife and I from talking through dinner. Couldn't even hear the server, who was great. Food was delicious but prices didn't reflect the ambiance of a noisy beach bar.

   Went here for a very nice meal with wine on Wednesday, March 22nd. Our server Harry was terrific. He knew the menu well and gave us great advice based on our preferences. Thank you, Harry! We decided to return last night, March 24th for dinner again. The noise level was through the roof! Because of cool weather the live band was brought indoors. My husband and I could not converse because of the noise level. We left after paying for our pre-dinner wine. If we wanted live music with our dinner we would have gone to a pub. Based on our first experience the food is excellent and the wine list average. We went for a fine dinner but the atmosphere was not conducive.

   Waited a little while for a server to come get us anything, even though we were the only table in our section it seemed. Got the spinach artichoke dip, wasnt warned that the thing it came in would be extremely hot to the touch and I burnt the tips of my fingers so that was fun. Ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and there was a ginormous bowl in front of me, with what seemed to be a very uneven ratio of lobster in it. It was very bad, took maybe 3 bites and was over and lost my appetite. Not my best experience.

   Overall It was a good experience. The food was very good. The only problem I had was that the food took too long to come out. People who came in after us got their food before us.

    First time dining here in a long time. There was a gas type smell on the way into restaurant, very unpleasant. Our waiter, Robert was adequate. From the time we sat down till we exited the restaurant, he made us feel rushed. The restaurant was NOT busy, so hard to understand. After ordering, we received our salads. While eating, our main course came out. We didn’t have sufficient time to finish our salads before the next course, and Robert was ready to take away our salads. After finishing dinner, we had to ask for the dessert menu, he was already asking about the bill. All in all, the food was very good, but the lack of atmosphere, and feeling rushed put a damper on the evening. I feel like the restaurant definitely needs updating, from the restaurant to the restrooms. Not sure we’ll be back.

    I ordered the ribeye med rare. It looked like a steak you get at a waffle house. Super thin, super chewy. I couldn't even eat half of it. My wife ordered the lobster which was filled with eggs and over cooked. The drinks were the best part.

    Herb rubbed chicken was delicious. The red snapper was delicious. Their wine list is very nice. My only complaint is how close the tables are to each other. We could hear everything our neighbors were saying and they could hear us. They are definitely maximizing space. I loved it and will definitely come back. Sarah was training Jordan and they were both great.

    It’s beautiful inside and out, amazing architecture and food/drinks. Love the open kitchen concept. Steak was cooked to perfection! Staff went above and beyond to write a nice message on my dates dessert plate that I requested. Awesome night.

    Overall a good experience. Rockfish could have been served warmer. Strawberry shortcake was a bust. Not good should have ordered lava cake for dessert.

    Inside the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, The ambiance was modern and pretty. Our service was excellent! Sara was consistent, timely, friendly, and knowledgeable. The seafood flatbread was very good, nice big bites of a variety of seafood on a crispy well seasoned flatbread. The rockfish was delicious. But a big let down was the steak. First they were out of fillets and the only cut offered was a ribeye. I was fine with that because I prefer that. Now I will preface this with, my husband grills the best steaks ever. So I normally don’t order steak out because I am almost always disappointed. Also, maybe because it’s primarily a seafood restaurant the cooks aren’t familiar with steaks….I don’t know. I ordered it cooked medium, it arrived and it was a big steak but very thin. It definitely wasn’t even a half of inch thick. And it was gray. Gray. Eww. I am not sure why but I proceeded to cut it and take a few bites. It was undercooked, more medium rare, chewy, and not flavorful at all. So I made my meal off the side of potatoes and the caesar I had ordered as well. I should’ve sent it back but it was late and I didn’t feel like going to the trouble. At the very least I should’ve spoke about it and have it removed from the bill. Oh well. So I guess you could say the seafood would be more of a 4 ⭐️ and the steak a 1 ⭐️ hence the 3 ⭐️ rating. I would go here again if I was staying at the hotel, just not order the steak. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there otherwise.

    We went to Catch 31 for our grandsons 17th birthday. We were hoping for a broader seafood selection but we did enjoy our choices. Fish Taco special, broiled salmon and the crab cakes. Prices tend to be a bit to the pricy side, but the overall experience was great.

    Wonderful experience. Michelle S, our server, was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable.food was so fresh. I had coconut shrimp and the most delicious fish tacos. Pleasantly pleased.

    We ate early-5:00 pm to avoid crowds with virus so, there were diners but not many. Food was was excellent as was the service from Phil. There wasn't any leftovers-we took deserts home. We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed. Thanks

    Beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean from the minute you enter. Friendly greeting from the hostess with no wait. Our server Justin was attentive without overdoing it. He was warm and friendly and answered all of our questions about menus items. The three of us shared two and a half dozen raw VA oysters. They were large, plump and salty from the sea. Just wonderful. Other items included woodfire roasted oysters, rockfish, and octopus. All were brought to the table hot, fresh and just delicious. The octopus was a hit with all of us! The best we had ever tasted! All together a very wonderful dining experience.

    The gentleman running the orders in the kitchen, was waiting for multiple orders to be plated before bringing anything out to customers. We watched for 20 minutes while our meals sat under a heat lamp before he brought them out. The scallops were severely undercooked, and the grits were cold, By the time we got our food. He did not add anything to them he just grabbed them finally and brought them. I have eaten here in the past. It was very good, this was just a very disappointing experience.

    Terrible ambiance. Lighting too bright. Noise level unsatisfactory. Service very good. I’d give the oysters a “D.” Salad was good. Fish was served on mashed sweet potatoes. I guess they set out the plates for turkey dinner and used them for any other entree.

    We always choose to go out for Christmas dinner. I’ve wanted to go to Catch 31 since we moved here in 2015 so I booked our reservation for Christmas Day at 5 and I was so excited. They clearly were under staffed which is definitely understandable on Christmas Day. The food was okay, not bad or anything I would have preferred a more diverse menu. Obviously people choosing to go out to eat on Christmas Day don’t want turkey, gravy and stuffing because they could have made that at home. I was bummed when I saw the menu a few days before our reservation but I thought, oh well. I ordered the Cesar salad and they didn’t have it, I got the kale salad instead. We never got bread in the beginning of our meal it came half way through dinner. My martini was amazing but it came to the table 4 minutes after our appetizer did which were ordered together. Just a little bummed on Christmas Day. I thought I was going to be blown away

    The drinks took too long to receive (20 to 30 minutes). Two meals sent back because the food arrived cold. The crab cake was too tiny, yet tasty. The chocolate cake was delicious. The server was good. Expectations of the food and ambiance not met. No hurry to go back.

    NOT fine dining...too much noise, this is the hotel restaurant for ALL occupants....we really wanted Salacia for a more upscale locale.....however it was closed. Merry Christmas

    The dinner menu is not offered until 5:00. We had viewed the Christmas Eve menu before and was not able to get the items until 5:00. Our reservations were for 4:15. I ordered a side salad as an appetizer and it was brought when I was halfway through the entree. We also got there during a shift change so two separate waiters which I’m assuming is why the salad got lost. Otherwise the food was good but wish our requests could have been accommodated. I mean it was 30 minutes away before the dinner menu was available

    Very nice dinner. Did note that our main entrees were not hot when arrived to table. Especially the side dishes/accompaniment to the protein. Not a deal breaker, but serving food hot would be nice

    Excellent Service from the parking valet to our server. The holiday decorations were beautiful and added to the ambiance. My friend loved her fried fish. My clam chowder was thick, loaded with clams, well seasoned and delicious. The calamari was a generous portion and wonderfully crisp, but way way too salty for me. We enjoyed sipping our wine and reminiscing and were not hurried or made to feel rushed. Would definitely recommend.
