Great experience! The Smoked Trout appetizer was great as always and this is the only place that offers it. The feature Sword Fish was great. To make the evening even better, Marko’s three piece combo playing Holiday music was the perfect top to a great experience!

Service was average. Food was not what I expected for the prices. The shrimp was overcooked and the see bass was pretty bland. Food was not bad but not what a higher end restaurant should be serving. There are other area restaurants I would visit again before returning here.

This is a cozy and hip restaurant. It was our first time there (and will be going back). Good menu choices , service, and food / drink quality. Plenty of parking in the complex. You could tell that each server and manager cared about the guest's experience and satisfaction. Highly recommend!

The bus server should be the waiter!! You can’t have a waiter with an attitude especially with average food! Sorry but not good enough to come back ( tried twice)

We sat for thirty minutes before anyone took our order. We had asked for separate checks and that fell through the cracks so we ended splitting the bill because at that point we were in jeopardy of being late to a show. All the waitstaff were incredibly pleasant but just didn’t seem to know who was supposed to be doing what with regards to our table - other tables didn’t seem to have the same issue from what I observed. We will definitely return because the food is always excellent and the location is walking distance from the cultural center.

This was an ok experience. Pleasantly greeted, seated immediately, tended to immediately. Crab bisque was great, but when dinner came, I had two petite lobster tails and one of them was charred on the bottom. So, like 1/3 of the tails was inedible. I don’t want to rate an entire experience over it-it’s easy to mess up that dish, but the lobster was overdone. My husband’s shrimp scampi was great and he enjoyed it. Just an ok experience/ meal.

Downtown fine dining restaurant. On-street parking is free after 5 pm. Our party sampled the burrata appetizer, which was very good, and the special crab bisque soup, which was a bowl of tasty soup with shredded crab meat. French onion soup is always available. Two of us had the bone-in prime ribeye. The steaks were ordered medium and were served at that exact degree of doneness, The bone was small, which is good, as paying for inedible bone is a waste of money. The steak was very tender, with less much fat than is usual for a bone-in ribeye. The optional red wine mushroom sauce was very tasty with what appeared to be shitake mushrooms. It was a better choice that the optional sauteed mushrooms. The other diner enjoyed the grilled scallops, which were very large, and served over a slab of crisp bacon, spinach, and orange sauce. House sangria and reisling were very good. Adding together the individual item costs brought us up to around $90 pp before gratuity.

Expected great food. Unfortunately, kitchen ran out of gnocchi and the mushroom ravioli was ok. Salad felt little over dresed and and season was lacking. For price paid for the steak, expected better.

On a vacation to Pennsylvania Poconos area for golf and visit with friends, we attended downtown Scranton area and dined at Catch 21. Terrific. Kyle, our server guided us through the specials and made experienced suggestions for maneuvering through the maze of wonderful choices. Our group enjoyed a tasty calamari and trout and eggplant and steak seared to perfection. Great atmosphere. Great menu. Great service. What else could one expect?

Scallops, Paella, creamed spinach excellent!! Pear salad a bit disappointing (2 very thin slices of pear). Service was good but slow which was fine as we were enjoying the jazz trio playing as we sat in their outside area. Not fair to comment on the noise level as this was part of the Scranton Jazz Fest weekend. Will definitely go back!!

the service was awful. we waited 45 minutes for a drink, if we didnt call him over we would of been waiting an hour. this was our 1st time thought we would give it a try. we will not be back. i was very very unhappy with the service. he didnt even come over to check on us or even see if we like our food. i had to keep asking for things or pull someone over that wasnt our waiter.. 😡😡

It happened to be a quiet night but we enjoyed our meals and the service was great. The Sea Bass on the menu is really, really good and not overpriced. We also had a swordfish special which was very tasty. Service is always attentive and polite.

Calamari was outstanding! Scallop entree was incredible! NY strip was charred perfectly and tasted great! I would definitely come back the next time we’re in the mood for steak or seafood. The only thing I didn’t love was the side of Mac and cheese. It was bland and just ok but outside of that we had a very pleasant dinner. Service was great also.
