   I have heard great things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself was very cluttered. The front of the house had way too much junk sitting out. The live music was very boring. Then when I asked for drink suggestions the waitress said she didn’t know. I decided on a margarita and asked for a sugar rim, I got salt. The bruschetta comes with 2 pieces of toast. If you want more it’s $1.50 and takes forever to get to the table. Then when you check out beware of service charge for paying by credit card. It is not mentioned anywhere on receipt. At the end of the day I am fine with small mistakes. It happens. Overall there was nothing that makes me want to come back.

As far as the card surcharge is concerned, it is a added by our processor, Slice, and we, unfortunately, can not adjust or remove it. We have signage at the front door, the bar, and have printed it on every page of every menu so that guests are not surprised by it. You are always welcome to pay with cash, Venmo, or Cashapp to avoid the charge.

   I came here on Mother’s Day for dinner with my family and had a great time even though it was incredibly busy so I brought my partner back to try it tonight and she loved it too. Service was outstanding, the server had great suggestions for drinks when my partner didn’t know what to order. She got the spicy Margarita and it was perfect- a little heat but not too spicy that it wasn’t enjoyable. I had to get the ropa vieja again tonight because it is so good. We also got the burrata tonight because they were out of it on Sunday and I really wanted to try it- so glad we did. I thought it was nice that our server recognized me from the other day, and thanked me for coming back. You can tell they really care about their guests here. He said that they had some negative reviews from the other night and that’s too bad because this place really is wonderful. I guess some people don’t understand that on busy holidays it’s really hard for restaurants to keep up with everything. We will definitely be returning again and bringing friends. Their patio is really nicely set up with umbrellas and plants, we plan to sit out there again next time and enjoy some sun.

   went for Mother’s Day dinner, we had reservations. First they ended up trying to seat half my party outside, not sure how that even happened. Food was great and service was fine until the end of dinner, we had been waiting on the bill when i noticed our waitress sitting at the bar having a drink. no one ever came back to the table to see if we needed anything else or offer the bill. i eventually had to get up and ask someone for it. we won’t go back which is sad because food is good.

She should have let the other waitress know that you had not received your check yet, that is our policy. She just started working with us this weekend and may not have remembered that rule.    Very disappointed after seeing such great reviews here and on other sites. The waitstaff was good, but otherwise the experience was poor. We arrived at 5:30 pm for a 6:00 pm reservation - 30 minutes early. They were very kindly able to seat us, but then upon being seated we were admonished that since they had so many reservations, we could only sit at our table for 90 minutes. Then, while placing our order, we found that the three items we were most interested in, the ones they were most known for, were already sold out. This was on Mother's Day, so a high volume of customers was known (see above about the reservations), so we were very surprised to hear at 5:30 they were already out of many items. Disappointed, we managed to find other items on the menu. When our drinks arrived, they were watery and small. When the food arrived, it was average at best. The Catalan Wings and fried Brussel Sprouts that were to have Gochujang sauce arrived with Sweet Chili sauce instead. When we pointed this out, we were told that we were wrong and the chef knew the difference. Having both items in our refrigerator at home, I think we know the difference too. When the Salchipapa, described on the menu as fried potatoes with Spanish Sausage instead of the traditional Peruvian style, arrived it came as Patatas Bravas with Italian Sausage and sliced hot dogs mixed in - neither traditional Salchipapa nor as described on the menu. The wings, sprouts, and potatoes all were overcooked and burned in some cases. Fortunately we only ordered these dishes and were able to leave without ordering more. We really want a good Tapas restaurant to succeed in the area, unfortunately this isn't it.

While we did double-order supplies for our entire menu in anticipation of the volume of business for Sunday, from previous years' sales we did not expect double the volume on Friday & Saturday. When we tried to re-stock Sunday morning the restaurant supply store was out of stock on many items. We have spoken with the hostess regarding her interactions with tables, that is not a direction she was given by management, and we had overflow tables set aside.

   Food, drinks and dessert we got we are very fresh. Drinks weren't mixes. Little crazy because it was mother's day for our first time so I'll take that into account. Will definitely be back.

    This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had to make a reservation for. They are inadequately staffed, and very few of the present staff members were appropriately trained. We waited in the front to be acknowledged for some time, with people pushing past us left and right. The dining area is tiny, cramped and busy. The setup blocks walkways and puts you elbow to elbow with other tables. The outside area is shared with the adjacent bagel shop that has a line that stretches past and through the outdoor seating. Service was slow, our food was cold and lackluster. Nothing we ate was worth the price we paid to be there. The ‘specials’ for Mother’s Day were thrown together, drinks were weak, mimosas came in what appeared to be plastic shot glasses and we never really knew who our server was. We wanted to try somewhere new and chose Catalan based on the few reviews we saw, but to say this was a lackluster experience would be polite and we will not return or recommend.

We did switch to plastic glassware for brunch to be able to serve a large volume of guests without overwhelming the hot water heater and the dish area with glasses.     Excellent food. Slightly too noisy, despite having the table furthest from the music! We definitely will return (probably more than once) because there were many delicious sounding tapas we could not try last evening. We also intend to “talk this place up” to our neighbors and friends.

    Birthday dinner with 2 adults, a 19-year-old and a 6-year-old. Ordered several dishes - there was something for everyone and all were delicious. Every server was friendly and knowledgeable. Out first time there and we will be back!

    I've read a lot of positive reviews so took my spanish friend and was disappointed. She did not think many of the items were authentic to Spain and lacked flavor. It was also incredibly hot in there which was very uncomfortable. The service was fine, but not wow'ed by the food.

    Excellent food and very pleasant service. All food was delicious, but the crabcakes were superb!. Peculiar was that we booked on Open table at 5:45 pm, but they received a bookingbtine of 5:17. Not sure where the glitch was. Nice atmosfeer, but we were glad we could move to another table away from thw door to the kitchen. Price was very accepable for the quality of the food, genrous portions and friendly, attentative crew. First time here, but certainly will be back!

    Great food, drinks and service. Food was reminiscent of the tapas we enjoy when we are in Spain. We tried the fried brussel spouts, baked provolone, bang bang style gambas, and potatas bravas. All were wonderful!! Spainsh wine flight and coconut mojito were also excellent choices. LGBTQ+ friendly.

    There was some confusion about our reservation as the couple we were meeting showed up early and did not have my exact first name as it appears on my credit card. Once that was straightened out everything went smoothly. The Brussels Sprouts were excellent. A few of the other dishes like the crab cakes and the market special seemed to have gone down hill since the last time we had them. The $5 glass of wine special was great and service was also very good.

    We never got a chance to get our food. Went on Open Table and made a reservation. When we arrived, they told us they didn’t have a table for us, but could seat us outside with a heater (it was 48degrees). We were annoyed, but hungry. That was the last time we saw anyone from the restaurant. We sat for over 10 minutes without anyone coming to offer us water, or even let us know it would take a minute. The menu looked good, but alas we were cold, hungry and forgotten. After 15 min, we left.

    Cozy, welcoming atmosphere, tasty food and drink. The smoked old fashioned is literally smoked! Crispy pork belly is awesome, as are the crab cakes, and best chocolate mousse ever!

    We walked in at 545 to an empty restaurant for dinner and were seated right in front of the door. The wind and sun blasted with every time it opened and we asked to be moved to any other table as a result. They said every table has reservations and couldn’t accommodate. They were completely unwilling to move us. A party came in later and they were seated at the wrong table by a server. They were then asked to move tables after being there for 10 min. Still, an empty restaurant. We left 15 minutes later in what could have been a much lengthier dinner. Food was good but the ambiance is terrible, both tables including us had to hold up menus to block the blinding sun. Will not be back here.

We have spoken with the entire team responsible for your poor experience and have made changes to staff to better accommodate our guests. We have also replaced the curtain that sits in the top part of the door which is necessary to block the sun when it hits at that angle.
