Great food. Server wasn't clear on what five items were $5 on Friday. She said potatoes but another server told us mussels. Didn't see mussels on the menu. It's a bit more expensive than I would prefer but we were not terribly hungry so small plates seemed like a good idea. Two wines, one $5 plate, and two regular priced plates ran about $53. I'd return.

We are glad you enjoyed your visit. Mussels are an item we feature when we can get them in, but not something we keep on our menu all the time. We often will do unique off-menu items on Fridays for $5 to try them out and get feedback on potential new menu items. Hope to see you back again soon!

My family went for the Taco and Margarita Tuesday Special and it did not disappoint! 3 tacos and rice and beans for $15 and margaritas for $4. Absolutely delicious flavor. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. One of my favorite places in Cary!!

Hidden gem in Cary. I love the tapas restaurant experience. I never know the order that my food is coming out, but whenever it does come out I know it was freshly made. Very flavorful. Great service. Bring your appetite and a few people to share with.

Best cuban rope I've had in a long time—and terrific all around—even the black beans were wonderfully spiced and very tasty. The wine suggestions, given by a very congenial young lady, were spot on. The best Tempranillo I've had forever. Plus there was the bonus of live music, a terrific guitar, to accompany the food, and this made for a stellar evening splurge.

The food was so good. The service was stellar! I don’t think more than 5 min went by without someone checking on us, and that is that the restaurant was full. They had live music that added to the awesome ambience. Five stars!

Food and service were excellent. You definitely need to try shrimp and grits cake. Kinda pricey for amount of food provided. Reservation charges and cash/credit rules kind of overbearing. We had fun tho.

We have unfortunately had to make the cash discount notice prevalent on our menu because other diners have said they didn't notice it, it's not meant to be overbearing but simply to let guests know about their other payment options aside from credit cards. We would have been happy to move you outside should you have requested it. We also could have asked the musician to turn down his volume a bit had you let your server know you were having a hard time hearing each other. We are always willing to make accommodations for our guests. As far as the food is concerned, we are not a classic Spanish tapas restaurant and have gone to great lengths to make it very apparent on our listing, we are sorry to hear that it was not what you expected.

What a disappointing experience. The staff was friendly, but inattentive. They had a spot for us on a Saturday evening, which is a plus, I guess. Food ranged from 'good, I guess', to 'not good'. The drink I ordered (a special margarita) was abhorrent. Reminders about 4% noncash surcharge all over and a questionable menu design complete the picture. I think the staff has their heart in the right place, but during our visit, the overall experience was solely lacking.

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate my birthday; and we were both happy with our choice. The 2 tapas we chose were delicious and we took advantage of half price bottles of wine. Our waitress was helpful with our wine selection which we both enjoyed. One slight disappointment was the jazz musician for Thursday nights as advertised didn’t show. We sat outside anyway which was quiet with a few other diners so we would have just gone in to the bar to listen to the jazz if he’d been there. Inside was too noisy for me to have eaten dinner as it is a small place. The staff were very friendly though; highly recommend giving it a try. We will go back.

I have heard great things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself was very cluttered. The front of the house had way too much junk sitting out. The live music was very boring. Then when I asked for drink suggestions the waitress said she didn’t know. I decided on a margarita and asked for a sugar rim, I got salt. The bruschetta comes with 2 pieces of toast. If you want more it’s $1.50 and takes forever to get to the table. Then when you check out beware of service charge for paying by credit card. It is not mentioned anywhere on receipt. At the end of the day I am fine with small mistakes. It happens. Overall there was nothing that makes me want to come back.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the entertainment and that your margarita was salted. We would have been happy to remake it and fix the mistake. As far as the card surcharge is concerned, it is a added by our processor, Slice, and we, unfortunately, can not adjust or remove it. We have signage at the front door, the bar, and have printed it on every page of every menu so that guests are not surprised by it. You are always welcome to pay with cash, Venmo, or Cashapp to avoid the charge.

I came here on Mother’s Day for dinner with my family and had a great time even though it was incredibly busy so I brought my partner back to try it tonight and she loved it too. Service was outstanding, the server had great suggestions for drinks when my partner didn’t know what to order. She got the spicy Margarita and it was perfect- a little heat but not too spicy that it wasn’t enjoyable. I had to get the ropa vieja again tonight because it is so good. We also got the burrata tonight because they were out of it on Sunday and I really wanted to try it- so glad we did. I thought it was nice that our server recognized me from the other day, and thanked me for coming back. You can tell they really care about their guests here. He said that they had some negative reviews from the other night and that’s too bad because this place really is wonderful. I guess some people don’t understand that on busy holidays it’s really hard for restaurants to keep up with everything. We will definitely be returning again and bringing friends. Their patio is really nicely set up with umbrellas and plants, we plan to sit out there again next time and enjoy some sun.

went for Mother’s Day dinner, we had reservations. First they ended up trying to seat half my party outside, not sure how that even happened. Food was great and service was fine until the end of dinner, we had been waiting on the bill when i noticed our waitress sitting at the bar having a drink. no one ever came back to the table to see if we needed anything else or offer the bill. i eventually had to get up and ask someone for it. we won’t go back which is sad because food is good.

She should have let the other waitress know that you had not received your check yet, that is our policy. She just started working with us this weekend and may not have remembered that rule. Very disappointed after seeing such great reviews here and on other sites. The waitstaff was good, but otherwise the experience was poor. We arrived at 5:30 pm for a 6:00 pm reservation - 30 minutes early. They were very kindly able to seat us, but then upon being seated we were admonished that since they had so many reservations, we could only sit at our table for 90 minutes. Then, while placing our order, we found that the three items we were most interested in, the ones they were most known for, were already sold out. This was on Mother's Day, so a high volume of customers was known (see above about the reservations), so we were very surprised to hear at 5:30 they were already out of many items. Disappointed, we managed to find other items on the menu. When our drinks arrived, they were watery and small. When the food arrived, it was average at best. The Catalan Wings and fried Brussel Sprouts that were to have Gochujang sauce arrived with Sweet Chili sauce instead. When we pointed this out, we were told that we were wrong and the chef knew the difference. Having both items in our refrigerator at home, I think we know the difference too. When the Salchipapa, described on the menu as fried potatoes with Spanish Sausage instead of the traditional Peruvian style, arrived it came as Patatas Bravas with Italian Sausage and sliced hot dogs mixed in - neither traditional Salchipapa nor as described on the menu. The wings, sprouts, and potatoes all were overcooked and burned in some cases. Fortunately we only ordered these dishes and were able to leave without ordering more. We really want a good Tapas restaurant to succeed in the area, unfortunately this isn't it.

We apologize for your experience. While we did double-order supplies for our entire menu in anticipation of the volume of business for Sunday, from previous years' sales we did not expect double the volume on Friday & Saturday. When we tried to re-stock Sunday morning the restaurant supply store was out of stock on many items. We have spoken with the hostess regarding her interactions with tables, that is not a direction she was given by management, and we had overflow tables set aside.

The biggest problem with this restaurant is not overpriced mediocre food or slow service. It’s not even a credit card fee which exceeds any fee that the credit card companies charge restaurants. The biggest problem of this restaurant is rude and angry owners, who never admit their mistakes, argues with customers and blame their clients. I’ve never seen such a rude owner. Just look at the negative reviews and the comments - the owner always argues and is super rude. I highly recommend everyone not to go this place.

It is unfortunate that you equate an owner explaining circumstances as arguing and rude. As you were told when replied to on another platform - we do not charge you any fees whatsoever. Our card processor, Slice, is the one who charges a usage fee to anyone using the card reader on our terminals. We can not adjust this nor remove this. There is signage in multiple locations as well as on the menu regarding this. It was your choice to use a card to pay. If that is "blaming" you, then so be it.

This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had to make a reservation for. They are inadequately staffed, and very few of the present staff members were appropriately trained. We waited in the front to be acknowledged for some time, with people pushing past us left and right. The dining area is tiny, cramped and busy. The setup blocks walkways and puts you elbow to elbow with other tables. The outside area is shared with the adjacent bagel shop that has a line that stretches past and through the outdoor seating. Service was slow, our food was cold and lackluster. Nothing we ate was worth the price we paid to be there. The ‘specials’ for Mother’s Day were thrown together, drinks were weak, mimosas came in what appeared to be plastic shot glasses and we never really knew who our server was. We wanted to try somewhere new and chose Catalan based on the few reviews we saw, but to say this was a lackluster experience would be polite and we will not return or recommend.
