creamed bourbon peach sauce, potatoes with wild garlic, sauteed green beans
porcini rub, truffle butter, potato gratin, sauteed asparagus, roasted peppers
local cherry preserves, caramelized onions, Capriole goat cheese, brioche bun with house cut fries
It’s a lovely place. Great food and service. Good bartender and our Old Fashions were excellent. Food is A little expensive.
Mostly the dining room needs to be decorated. It’s very plain and needs color and art work or even something that works for a castle. The dining room is bare and stark white. Spaced out but they could at least put place settings on all the tables to warm up the room.
The Castle hype, and the fact that we had never been there before, I was expecting "more".
- The food was the usual you can get anywhere except no French toast.
- We were seated in a very small room since we were not overnight guests.?
- Nothing special about anything other than its in the castle.
- The outside of the castle is really all there is to see and do.
- The gift shop is tiny and has nothing about the history of the castle, how it came to be what it is today, literally nothing. Not even a castle key chain. But there are alot of stuffed unicorn toys.
- Skip the "tour". Again, there is literally nothing to see that you don't see from Nicholasville Road or can see yourself.
- The rooms are tiny. Typical hotel room. Nothing "castle" about it.
- Definitely not a Biltmore or Spindle Top experience.
Overall, I am glad I went, mainly so "now I know".
I was expecting the inside to feel like I was in a castle, not a farm house with makeup on. The music did not fit the price of the food. The music was upbeat and loud. The chairs were uncomfortable and didn't make me think I was at a castle at all. My waitress must have been new, she kept forgetting things, ie refills, appetizer plates, spoons for our dessert. The food was fantastic, but overpriced when it came to the appearance and atmosphere of the inside of the castle. Over all the food was what I was expecting and all the rest fell short.
I love the salmon that I ordered! But I don’t like the chocolate brown room where we are seated. It was so dark.
Not what we expected at all. Overall experience was a let down. From the ambiance to the service staff to the facility. Not represented as marketed.
We were there for brunch. We both had the burger with goat cheese. It was amazing.
Service was awesome. Would definitely eat here again.
Great spot for photos but the food was overpriced and the dining area was very plain.
They were very accommodating. Food quality and quantity was great. Mimosas were refreshing. Atmosphere was amazing!
An experience to add to your visit to Kentucky Bourbon Country, sans alcohol. Nice and relaxing to visit the grounds of the castle and enjoy a good meal.
Beautiful scenery for our 12th Anniversary. We loved the food as well as the top notch service. We will certainly be back. Highly recommend
It was a beautiful evening/night a perfect way to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary!
Beautiful restaurant, one of a kind. Food was good but did not have any wow factor, menu was limited.
Spaced out from each table. Loved the food and great price for being able to tour as well after eating!
We enjoyed the whole experience and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
need to dress up plates with some greenery or fruit/flowers --- just bring you plate that is very plain tables needed some fall decorations or flowers too----
Enjoyed Brunch at the Castle while visiting Versailles. The Belgian waffle was delicious, as was the bacon!! Great service in a beautiful setting!
We enjoyed our food! .............................
We had an amazing brunch and visit at the Castle. Great food, drinks and tour.
The food was WONDERFUL!! The only thing that could have been better was the service. We had reservations and checked in about 5 minutes early. We were told they were running a little behind and shown to a nice outdoor seating area. We enjoyed a drink while we waited......and waited.....and waited... Finally we went back inside to inquire about ow much longer the wait would be and seemed to shock the hostess. I believe she had forgotten about us. She quickly sat us at the bar which was not exactly what we were hoping for simply because we were celebrating a birthday. The waiter came around with some water and then we didn't see him again for a long while. In fact we had to get up and track him down after couples that were seated 20-30 after us were already dining and we had yet to order. we never received any bread and the vegetable was missing from one of our dinners.
The food was very good but the service really put a damper on the overall evening.
It was amazing!!!!!
We had a wonderful time eating at castle farms during our stay at the castle. Hunter was a great server, and Jordan was a great bartender. They were very knowledgeable about Lexington as well.
The food was delicious. The castle was lovely. Our waiter, Caleb, was knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, and polite. Great service overall.
Beautiful setting and delicious food
Food was awesome. Service was friendly and swift.
Pork Chop was the best piece of meat I've eaten in 2020. Our server, Caleb was fun, very courteous and highly knowledgeable.
We drove by on our way into Lexington and had to look up what it was. Decided to make a reservation for dinner during our stay in the area. We arrived about 10 min. Before our reservation and were asked to wait in our car by the parking lot attendant until our reservation time which I thought was odd and rude since the grounds are so beautiful and spacious. It would have been more pleasant to sit in the courtyard and wait. Our server Caleb was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious but the soup was on the cool side. Entree Portions were small and the menu is ala carte. There were 2 or 3 private events going on while we were there so it was somewhat noisy and bustling. We were pleasantly surprised by our bill in light of the fact that I picked the most expensive entree, had a bottle of wine to share, dessert and hot beverages. Not bad for a gourmet, farm to table meal served in a very elegant atmosphere.
It was a very delightful place and very well organized. The people were most helpful and everything is just lovely. The food in the restaurant was great. It was a very memorable experience.
Food was delicious, service was top notch, and the castle was beautiful. We will absolutely be back!
We had a great lunch. Excellent food, great service. Want to return for dinner soon.
This was the highlight of our trip great experience everyone at the farm were so nice and pleasant.
Lovely grounds and meal. Our server was informative and helpful.
Food was warm but not hot . Waiter told stories of getting drunk on bourbon. Even said the word “puke”. Took way too long getting the extras like sweetener for coffee, refills for coffee, etc. Our first visit to Castle Farms wasn’t one we want to remember ....
Our experience couldn’t have been better! Our food was absolutely fantastic and our service was great... and who doesn’t want to dine in a castle?!? Highly recommend!
I scheduled this as a birthday surprise for my daughter’s 21st birthday. She and her college roommates had breakfast. They all said the food was delicious the atmosphere was very nice and the grounds were beautiful.
Great place to visit at least once or more! The service, food, and our stay was perfect.
This was our first visit and we found the food to be delicious. The staff was wonderful and polite. They seemed to genuinely go out of their way to make sure our visit was all it could be. We’re already planning to dine there again!
The entire experience was enjoyable and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend
Just all in all wonderful experience! Highly recommended, waiter was terrific go Aydin
Food was excellent. Did take issue with the waiter commenting on what I ate. It was delicious, I didn’t like him jokingly implying I ate too much and/or too fast.
Eggs had a hair on them when the waitress brought them out. Showed it to her she took it back and brought plate back. Thought I should have at least given at least a discount but only got a sorry. Won't be eating there again.
Thank you so much for coming in to dine with us. I apologize that this experience was disappointing to you. It is possible that the server did not clarify that the second plate was all new breakfast items as is our standard. We felt that since we were able to replace your meal so quickly that further action was not needed, but this clearly wasn't the case. If you would like to discuss this further, you can call me, Jess, the restaurant manager, directly at (859) 256-0322 extension 2012.
