We ate the breakfast/brunch. I got the frittata and my wife got the omelet. Both were excellent. I got bacon on the side and we also got toast with butter and preserves. Along with coffee it was a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was great.
Personnel was very friendly and on point with everything!! Very pleasant experience
A very unique experience. The food was delicious although some items luke warm and the meat a bit fatty. Our server, DJ, was an engaging, attentive guy who significantly added to the experience.
The food was absolutely outstanding. However, the price was so high that we could only eat there once during our stay.
Pretty disappointed. As a local, we’ve been wanting to come here for a while. We came for brunch and it was “just ok” which isn’t what they or you are going for... We went for brunch and it wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great. Service was fine but our server, given they weren’t super busy, didn’t want to go over the top for anything. We enjoyed the ambiance and mimosas but those were like $12-$15 each...
Great experience. Good food. Staff was extraordinary!!!! The castle is perfect!
Great place for dinner. Nicely prepared food. Interesting combinations.
We're glad we ate at the Castle. It was a good experience that everyone in Central Kentucky or visiting the area should try. The food tasted great and was a good amount. While the menu had many different options, a surprising number of them included mushrooms in some form or other. One of us does not like mushrooms, so this cut the menu about in half, including wiping out the Soup of the Day. The service was excellent and our waiter recommended an appetizer (oxtail) that was outstanding. As to the environment, we were seated at a small table for two in a dark corner. While it may have improved the romance of the meal, it made it difficult to read the menu (and I'm not as old as this sentence makes it sound like I am). Finally, it's hard for me to say the Castle is a "value", but as long as you know what to expect, it's worth it for a special night, if you can afford it. We have two glasses of wine, one appetizer, and two entrees and the total bill was $133 before tip.
The food was a bit spicey to go to bed on. Other wise everything was great.
The food was very good as was the service. My husband’s steak was delicious. My short ribs were very good also. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to add a couple more ribs and trim some of the fat before serving. We were encouraged to explore the castle and stop by the gift shop. All employees were very friendly. It was a very nice evening. We plan to go back in the summer so we can explore the gardens outside.
We had such an amazing experience! It was our first time at the Castle. The staff was so helpful and kind. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Great experience in a COVID-friendly environment. It was almost too quiet though. Maybe they need to pipe in some music.
The service was phenomenal and the food was amazing. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a romantic quiet dinner.
Good visit. Unfortunately vcivid and the weather kept us from seeing much outside.
Phenomenal experience! Would highly recommend for any special day.
My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine Day lunch. Our waiter was so polite and answered our questions about menu options. The dining area was beautifully decorated with flowers. This was our first time there and we can't wait to go again.
Loved our first experience here! Great food, service, and views!
We arrived, got out temperature taken and had a wonderful meal with attentive service.
The food was good and the service was decent but the atmosphere was weird. Stuck in a little room off the side and it just felt like everyone was uncomfortable. Sadly I don’t know if the food was good enough to go back to that atmosphere.
Our server, Corbin, was great; however
I brought my wife here for a surprise date and we absolutely loved it! The staff was knowledgeable and kind and the food was delightful. I honestly think they are undercharging their menu because I could not believe the quality. We went for breakfast and it was very quiet and we had fast service. We will definitely be back!
Server was horrible. Forgot to bring out our second course. After reminding her she finally brought it out 20 minutes after our entrée. Found a hair in my entrée. Food was served warm but not hot. Piano music was nice but a little loud. Server was unattended.
Thank you so much for coming in to dine with us. I apologize that this experience was disappointing to you. We felt that since we were able to replace your meal so quickly with a new entree, sent out an additional dessert, and proceeded to take care of one of the entire fixed price meals that we had overcome some of these difficulties, but it is clear that this was not the case. If you wish to discuss this further, please reach out to me (Jess, the Restaurant Manager).
The food was elegant and delicious.
The service was impeccable.
We celebrated our 30th anniversary there and it was a memorable event!
Such a beautiful charming place. Food was excellent and affordable. Will definitely be back!
Covid protocols were very well enforced. We were celebrating a birthday with our immediate family of four and were very pleased to have a library room all to ourselves. The meal was delicious. Highlights were the gingerbread cocktail, oxtail medallions with Foie gras sauce, the duck with cranberry risotto and the bourbon Creme Brûlée! Outstanding experience in a lovely setting.
We had a beautiful time at the castle. The food is amazing and Vickie our tour guide was great!!
A great place to have a nice quiet date. The food is beyond exquisite, the dining room we were in was a little too white and felt a little cold. Service is excellent as it should be. It is nice to walk around the castle a little bit. Overall a absolute wonderful experience
Amazing farm to table meals that are satisfying and perfectly portioned.
Very nice. Loved the castle. Food was excellent! Would definitely recommend.
The service was amazing and the food was phenomenal! My wife and I definitely recommend the Castle Farm!
Fabulous brunch from Castle Farms. I had the Southwestern Bowl, fresh and fabulous vegetables topped with an egg. Wasn’t a huge serving but delicious.
We enjoyed the food, however we did not get the feeling that we were at a castle. We were in a small room with tables. I wish we felt we were eating at The Castle. The food was wonderful though and service was just as great.
Great Experience
Food was fantastic and service was just as great!!
Jordan Jess and Shell made my dining experience so special ! Over the top !
We were very pleased with our experience eating at opentable. The food was excellent (even down to the delicious fruit/honey iced tea). My granddaughters were thrilled with the fanciness of the restaurant and eating at a castle. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. He even brought a special dessert treat with candle for my granddaughter's 16th birthday. We will definitely be coming back. it is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We would also like to try the mystery dinner theater.
Fantastic place, absolutely gorgeous. Food was very good. Only gets 4/5 stars because the lamb chops were 90% fat. But everything else was amazing.
Reservation was easy to do. Server was nice and willing to elaborate on items. The food was delicious and came in timely manner. The lights were too dim for me as I have eye sight issues I would have preferred more light. The lights also flickered a lot even though they made attempts to adjust it.
Everything was great until dessert. I ordered the Pots de Creme. It tasted like it was pulled directly out of the freezer and then topped with a very distasteful whip cream. Not impressed.
Our waiter Caleb was very professional, friendly and nice. He answered all of our questions. It was a very nice first visit. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful.
