Loved and was amazing! Chef Jeromy has amazing staff and the food is wonderful !
Each time we visit St. Petersburg (which is not often enough!) we dine at Cassis.
There is no better Onion Soup on the planet. Steak Frites a favorite as is the French dip...mainly because of the outstanding bread which is baked at their bakery next door.
The service ie exemplary and the price is right.
We really enjoy a good French bistro of which there are perhaps a handful in SWF. Cassis fits the bill perfectly. My wife had the porcini-rubbed delmonico steak, and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I had seared scallops on a bed of braised shortrib hash. Excellent.
After receiving a reminder the day before the reservation, I was upset to learn upon arrival to the restaurant that they are not taking reservations anymore. Very frustrating. Bad first impression.
Food was hot but just ok. A little pricey for the quality even for DTSP. Service was average - we caught our waiter en route to somewhere else whenever we needed something. Waitress at the next table seemed amazing.
Service was so slow. Dirty tables everywhere. Overall it was poorly managed. Food items were just ok.
Great food, great service! So many great choices on the menu. Our server was awesome, and we really enjoyed the outside dining. Hostess was very accommodating with our table request and we appreciated that so much.
FABULOUS happy hour!!
Went for Easter dinner with the family. Great server; EZ; great food and as always we enjoyed it!
Food presentation and quality was outstanding. Very enjoyable Easter brunch. Yes it was a limited menu but the choices still offered a variety and the quality of everything was outstanding! Service was great as well, quick but not rushed. Would dine here again without a doubt. If someone is visiting from out of town I highly recommend it, the atmosphere (we ate outside) is very Florida.
Easter limited menu was not only explained during reservation process- it was terrible and extremely limited. $40 a person was unreasonable. Best part was doggy menu.
We went there for Easter brunch. The food and service were good. We enjoyed it; however, it was a limited menu which we were not expecting. We would like to go there for their regular menu.
$40 for Easter brunch was just too pricey for the food - brioche French toast was just too sweet with the Nutella.
Came for Easter Brunch, sat at a table for ten minutes before the hostess brought us water. Our waiter showed up a few minutes later took our drink order and brought us pastries. We had to remind our waiter about our drink order twice. Our food arrived and we were sent the wrong side dish. To me if you are going to charge what you charged for the brunch coffee and juice should be included and the service should be so amazing that when you spend over a $100 on a simple $40 breakfast you dont care. But when your service is trash you feel ripped off. This is the second time we have been there and the service was terrible. In general we would never do this again and probably will never go back. Food is good but service is garbage!!
We enjoyed Easter Brunch at 8:30am. The restaurant opened 30 minutes prior, and about 15 tables were occupied. Despite having reservations which required a $15 per person deposit for a table for 7, the service was very slow, and not in a celeb mood for the occasion. Having worked many years as a server myself, our server that morning appeared to be working his first day. The timing of drinks was extremely slow, the initial greet to the table was slow, and I had to ask for the check at the hostess stand after waiting nearly ten minutes fir the checked after all my guests finished. I was not impressed at all with the service. In fact, when we asked for one additional chocolate filled croissant (breakfast breads were included in a basket on the table) the server explained that all the bread was counted and didn’t know if he could bring more, yet he brought another. Why explain all of that to the table, essentially making my guest embarrassed for asking for another croissant, and then bring one?? I was quite upset, considering Cassis has their own bakery right next door. Paying more for one extra croissant wasn’t the issue, nor did I mind, but the fact that the server went on and on for nearly three minutes about the pre-counted breads was annoying and lacked class. There were other minor issues with the service on top of those listed above, and when considering the service as a whole, it was poor.
It was very enjoyable and a good choice...........
VERY slow service
Love the buzz of eating by the city sidewalk. The food was delicious we had both steaks and seafood. YUM!
Delicious! Great service, and they took reasonable COVID precautions. The mozzarella on the tomato and mozz salad was the best I've ever had - so fresh!
Excellent caprese salad and very good ravioli
We had been to the Dali Museum and came to dinner afterward. 6 of us. We were early for our reservation but we were promptly accommodated and seated at a very nice booth that enabled us to all talk to each other. Drinks and food were very good, and we were all very happy to Be out to dinner again.
Very expensive with extremely small portions. Seafood platter for two had very small dry crab legs, dry mussels, the shrimp was good. My daughters steak was $31 and didn’t fill her up, she does not have much of an appetite. My sons burger was very dry. Would not return. On a positive note, our server was amazing.
The food was great. The service was horribly slow. The ice cream had partially melted.
Great food. Service was a little slow as our server seemed to have A LOT of tables but our server was personable and the overall experience was fabulous. Mussels app and duck entree were great.
The restaurant and meal were fine although value for the price can be debated. But the service was a real deal breaker. It reminds of a European dinner experience which isn’t bad if you know what to expect. In this case it certainly wasn’t expected. After 2+ hours we were finally done with the meal. And that was only because we had to request someone to find our server multiple times. He was just absent. It made the dinner a very bad experience.
We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary here. The food was delicious and the service good. We will definitely keep it on our list to go back.
The table I was given was extremely small with barely room to hold plates and right by a busy door. The appetizer plate was chipped. The worse thing was the bathroom was unsanitary with overflowing trash, filthy toilets with no toilet paper. The food portions were very small and pricey but good. Menu was limited. I’m surprised bread wasn’t served. Service was fair. This is the worst experience I’ve had in downtown St. Pete. The surroundings restaurants are much better!
The grilled octopus with fried chickpeas was cooked well and was flavorful, and the bread was tasty. The burger and onion rings were average and relatively bland. The fennel and watermelon salad was tasteless and the grilled chicken was extremely overcooked to the point it was functionally inedible.
This was our first visit to a restaurant in over a year and it dd not disappoint. Food, service and ambiance were all top notch.
Thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor dining experience with a party of 4. EZ our server did a great job, and provided excellent recommendations and answers to our many questions. We thoroughy enjoyed both food and drink. The Snowbird is a new favorite on my cocktail short list, and the Fried Brussels Sprouts appetizer is amazing. Will return.
Birthday celebration. Excellent food and great service
Wonderful food as usual. Order the Brussels sprouts.
Sweet server - all & all I commend you for staying open & trying to handle the demand.
We were excited to experience a French restaurant but felt like this restaurant just missed the mark. The waiter knew nothing about the food or drink menu. We were very gracious to him, but our questions were very minimal and he couldn't answer them. They were out of several things on the drink and food menu which was surprising for a Sunday evening. Overall we weren't wow'd by our experience but would probably come back with lower expectations.
Disinterested hostess. Slow service.
Cassis provides an overall authentic French brasserie experience. Highly recommended
This was our first night out in over a year. We chose Cassis because it is a beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, to boot. Everything we ordered, with the exception of the brussels sprouts app, was beyond mediocre. Below average and practically inedible. I'm sorry that we didn't send both entrees back - especially at $35+ each. Bland is the highest compliment I can offer for the food. Our service was fine and we gave honest feedback when asked.
Food was very good as usual. Service was a bit choppy, probably due to Spring Break chaos .
We booked an indoor table, but when we arrived they only had outdoor tables. Ended up having to eat at the bar with poor service. Hamburgers were dry and tasteless, but the fries were good.
