The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and sat down. We had no idea to expect long wait times for the food. The appetizers we ordered took over one hour to arrive to the table with no explanation from the wait staff. I ordered a salad and my husband a pastry. The main course took another half hour to 45 minutes. By the time it came I was full on the salad and not in the mood anymore. With so few diners that evening, I would hate to know the wait time when the restaurant is full.
I understand by reading some reviews online that there is only one chef in the kitchen doing everything. What in the world? If that’s the case then why did he decide to run a restaurant?? You will not keep your customers coming back with such slow service. Not in this city.
So beautiful. The entire experience! The food, the service, the ambiance.. wow is all I have to say. I will be eating here again very soon!
Casablanca Moroccan kitchens is a very nice addition to the LA gourmet scene.
Recently opened, family run business, French trained chef that I just loved!! I’m familiar with the previous space, will you walk through the kitchen to get the back covered patio, which is very romantic. The food portions are very generous, so bring your appetite! A muse bouche was offered as herbed cheese am with lovely cruchy crusty bread and soft interior. I had the lobster lentil soup to start, the half lobster tail was grill to perfection with lots of great flavors. Next, veal shank braised in a clay pot (Tajina) was tender flavorful and lovely citrus flavors. Then best yet was the dessert options which I can’t wait to try all three. Welcome to the neighborhood and can’t wait to go back!! Also BYOB with no corkage
Awesome food. A jewel
Wonderful. Brand new place and went to their soft opening week. They just had the Dine LA menu so limited but it was all delicious.
The place is very cute inside as well. You have to enter past the kitchen but that's almost part of the charm and plus you see where they're making your food which is never a bad thing as shows they run it well.
The real thing that makes this place stand out though is the staff and owners. They are INCREDIBLY hospitable! Felt so welcome and like we were at a friend's place for dinner not just some restaurant. Definitely going back.
(Oh and it's also BYOB NO CORKAGE CHARGE!)
