   My family and I are avid rodizio diners and we decided to try Casa Nova as a new place for rodizio. Service was standard at best I felt a bit of aggression from service but may be just cultural differences but let me digress. I was disappointed on the limited variations of meat (picanha was their main meat which was cooked well and salted perfectly) there are 14 types stated on their menu but we only were offered maybe a third to half of their meats. At midpoint of our rodizio the meats slowed down significantly and we were constantly waiting with empty dishes for them to come around. It seemed as if they chose to end our rodizio since I requested more meat and they never brought it out, instead offering us the dessert menu. My father ordered a different meat dish rather than rodizio and that meat was overcooked to the point he had to ask for another. To end the dinner the bill came and we noticed gratuity was already added to the bill for a group of 5. The server stated any group lager than 4 gets automatic gratuity added to their bill. I’m a great tipper (usually 20-25%) but this completely ruins that for me with the added attitudes from service. This is a one and done type of place for me. I will not be going back.

   It wasn’t great the salad bar is pretty bad and the service wasn’t great at all

   I’m surprised at the many positive comments in the reviews, we tried this restaurant because it was highly rated. The food was really mediocre.. things didn’t seem fresh. I took a bite of yucca fries (one of my favorite) and it was cold and stale. The meat was tough and hard to cut. The drinks tasted off. To top it off the prices were high and not worth what we got. It was similar to other Brazilian restaurants that are not comparable in quality and overall experience.

   The food quality was good. The service, however, was mediocre. We had to repeatedly ask for clean plates, and asked for several items from the Rodízio, which were never brought to our table. Had a fairly limited selection for Rodízio, and the food on the salad bar was mediocre. What we had was good. We were a party of 10, which might be why our server was overwhelmed, as he had two large parties at the same time. Again, every request that we made had to be repeated at least two, if not, three, times before we receive the item.

   We went there for date night right before Thanksgiving. It was such a great experience. We ordered drinks and food, everything was just excellent.

   Took my wife and son out for a birthday dinner. We all like our meat medium. The first couple of pieces that came out were like beef jerky. Beyond well done and so dry. After asking for better cooked meat they did bring out better cooked meat. Not medium but better. I don’t think I would go back with so many other better places in Newark

   Case Nova was a wonderful dining experience. The staff was very attentive my I dropped my fork on the floor and they immediately replaced it without even asking. The food was well prepared and delicious. My kids got their fill (and then some) of the rodizio and it did not disappoint. They brought out the “good stuff” first and it only got better for us and the night progressed. The sangria is dangerously delicious - highly recommend. We will be returning to enjoy another meal soon. Thank you!
