Service could have been better, especially for a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton. But, it was New Year's Eve and the servers seemed rushed. Otherwise, the food was good
The food and the service were complete perfection! If I am lucky enough to be in Aruba on Christmas, there is no place I would rather be!
Food was OK, service was good. However, a meal for family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) with only two glasses of wine was almost $400. I don't mind paying this kind of price for an amazing meal or one with bottles of wine, but this was far from that. Three apps, three main courses, one kids meal and two glasses of basic house wine. The food was fine, but nothing special. Thus, for $200, it would have been a fine experience, but not for $400.
This is not our first time here and won’t be our last. We stop here every year for the best Italian on the island. The grilled octopus is over the top and the ravioli was decadent. Very approachable wine list as well. The Ritz is an amazing property as well and sets the tone for a lovely dining experience.
Very good food but very pricey! Outdoor dining atmosphere is wonderful! The only food complaint is that the bolognese (pasta strands with meat) is loaded with shaved pieces of raw garlic which was a complete turnoff from the first bite. Luckily our waiter saw my unhappiness and remade it for me with NO garlic. Beware I am not sensitive to garlic just dont want a whole plate of it!! Everything else was perfect! Great waitstaff and service overall was spot on. We will be back!
The staff went all out for our anniversary. Delicious meal and wonderful music. Party girl danced the night away with hubby!
Absolutely love this restuarant. Authentic Italian. Excellent staff, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Had someone performing outside where we were eating. Beautiful inside if you prefer not to dine outside. We attended twice last year and twice this year. Will definately go back.
Enjoyed dinner on the patio, service was good, fresh Branzino ( fish) was tasty and the best part of the evening was the entertainer, lovely singer she sings like Sade and makes for a romantic dinner for couples. Will most definitely will return!
The staff at this restaurant was fantastic -- they moved us outdoors when the noise level and crowd inside was excessive. And they were very kind throughout the meal. But the inside space is too crowded for these times, and it is extremely noisy to the point of being impossible to converse. They need noise cancelling. The prices are very high, and while the food was quite good, the overall ambiance of the restaurant did not justify the prices. We came to this hotel from another hotel for the thanksgiving special menu, and it was good, but very overpriced.
Fabulous as always. Eduardo is a great waiter, always gives top shelf service and great recommendations.
From the desk to the servers EVERYONE was excellent.
There was a large party in the dining room and employees were so kind to us asking if we wanted to relocate our table to outside since they were a bit loud.
We totally enjoyed ourselves from start to finish!
Due to Covid the restaurants at the Ritz alternate available nights with Casa Nonna being open every other night. The chef prepared our dinners with the same delicious ingredients as before the pandemic so do not hesitate to visit this outstanding establishment. It is among my favorites in Aruba and it did not disappoint. Service was great and we enjoyed the beautiful sunset while sipping our Planeta Etna Rosso . We shared Spamoni for desert and I can recommend any and all the main courses as they are prepared fresh and can be customized to your liking.
We plan to dine there again before heading back home.
Casa Nonna was amazing. The service and food was outstanding.
Beautiful hotel and amazing restaurant!
Service was excellent and food from drinks to dessert was spot on! We will dine here again!
Service and food is excellent.
Absolutely FABULOUS!
Everyone and everything was fantastic! The ambiance was perfect and food was exceptional.
Food is excellent. Service is top notch. Pricing is about what you would expect for a restaurant at The Ritz Carlton. Would dine again in the future.
Service was fine. As expected. Food was not even average. Do not order anything seafood my friends wife was served seafood with nothing but empty mussel and clam shells. We sent it back and it was corrected. But no concession or apology by the restaurant. The menu is very slight. I would not call this anywhere near an Italian restaurant. If you want pasta with a flair go to giannis. Better food. Taste, and value.
Great ambience and food. Service were first class
This is a tough on to write because we love the steakhouse at the ritz, but this time they got it wrong, this a chain restaurant at best. The first question you have to ask yourself is why is it empty in March ? After eating there I now know why... The wait staff is very nice and wanted to help, took 30 minutes to get a drink after we sat, no Glenlivet 12 ? The poor kid had to run upstairs to another bar to get it, took forever, the it was only the 18 , ok no problem, the bread was triangles like in a middle eastern place? Casa Nonna ? Nonna never had bread like that growing up, the salad we split was great, the mozzarella coroza was like Mozzarella sticks only flat, the sauce was watery and to dark, we ordered the pasta was arobitita sauce , spicy, it was bland, the meatballs were soft and tasty but the sauce had way to much oregano in it, the food is almost like pizzeria food, only at ritz prices, picture olive garden with really high prices. to many great italian places on the island to try this, we will come back to the steak house because its fantastic, but the italian food is not up to par with the ritz standards...
Amazing food and atmosphere
Service took forever. Food just ok. Nothing extravagant for the price.
Outstanding food and service. Romantic setting on the terrace watching the sunset.
One of the nicest restaurants we went to. Exceptional service from the whole team, really made it a special occasion!
Nice outdoor seating, inside the Restaurant would have been far too cold. We loved the blood orange margarita. The filet was cooked perfectly, potato wedges were fabulous. Only negative comment is when requesting a children's menu for my 13 year old daughter the first server was very nice. The second server brought over the menu and mentioned how she wasn't very happy about "someone of her age" ordering from that menu. This was only restaurant in Aruba that gave us any type of issue with this. My daughter did order the children's size portion, which she never even finished. Dessert was fantastic. Overall a great experience.
As always it was a dining experience. We asked for Ed to be our waiter because he always does a great job.
this is our 2nd time to Casa Nonna and it will not be the last
this restaurant is a jewel in an island where good food is abundant
such a classy establishment, great wine list, excellent appetizers, flavorful and inventive entrees and desserts
the best meal we had all week and everyone was good, this was great
So so for $100 pp. if there’s a band the ambiance is shot.
Saving grace is nice staff and good service
this restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. The server only came back to us once during the meal. We ate all over the island, my advice would be to go out and enjoy the local restaurants.
The Food was Amazing and the Service was even better..
Loved our meal at casa nonna!
The service was perfect and the food was amazing! 5 stars!
Awful. 6 people dined - 4 adults and 2 kids- and none our meals were good. Pasta was almost raw, risotto and Saltimbocca was inedible. The meatball was missing off my son’s spaghetti and meatballs, calamari was rubbery, and we sat for nearly 25 minutes before we saw a waiter. Not the night out on vacation we expected.
Food was a bit better than many other places on the island. Prices were typical of Aruba. Outdoor dining was in the middle of the resort's grounds with tourists and kids literally running around, screaming and playing. Drowned out musician which was probably ok because he was terrible.
Last night in Aruba in February 2020. We will dine again in 2021.
Service was wonderful, had a fantastic bottle of wine. Food was mediocre at best and way over priced for the quality.
Food was fantastic and ambience was great, with nice outside seating. Live music was a nice touch and elevate the overall dining experience. Only complaint was the lack of timely service when confirming the reservation and being escorted to our table.
You’re homemade pasta is good. Your pomodoro sauce is too tick and no flavor
The veal satimboco was over done. The prosciutto was on the outside and burned. No flavor and dry. Prosciutto should be inside Marsala sauce was salty and too thick.
We did not enjoy our meal. Service was not prompt and did not give us our extra bead as promised.
We will not return
Great view, attentive staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
