   We really enjoyed our evening at Casa D'Italia. We did have an issue with one of our items, which they did offer to remake. The owner came to our table and apologized. Even though there was a very large party seated, the noise level was fine and dinner did not seem to be delayed. Definitely will be returning. Loved the grilled octopus, you must try! My only recommendation would be to offer a low carb pasta alternative for those looking out for carbs. Well done Casa!

   We are hesitant to go again because your beverages are over the top from a price perspective. Food is priced ok but you need to address your drink costs. There isn't a person from Verandah that doesn't talk about how ridiculous your bar prices are. We want you to prosper-as you are around the corner. Good luck!

   My party of 4 dined at Casa D’Italia this evening and we left very disappointed. Food was fine but that’s where the positives end. From the moment we sat down, I was surprised to see plates and cups were plastic, napkins were paper and there was 3 strips of paper on our table which hadn’t even been changed as there was red wine stains on it. To top off the first impression our shoes were sticking to whatever was spilled under our table. I wish we had left then as it only got worse. The service was awful. Our waitress had a terrible attitude and was visibly annoyed that we didn’t order alcoholic beverages and only one appetizer, my water and another guest’s drink sat empty for several minutes, she tried to clear plates while we were still eating and asked another guest if he wanted a box or if he was going to finish his food while he was visibly still eating and that’s after our food took longer than the party of 5 that had walked in after us. When the food did come out there was old food caked on the bottom of the plates. Our party had 1 appetizer 3 salads and 4 entrees and our total bill was $180. For that price I would expect SO much more than the McDonald’s level service and cleanliness that we experienced. Will absolutely not return.

   Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was beyond attentive and wonderful. The food was excellent. I tried a few of my friend's entrees, and I can't decide which to order next. I had the Chicken Picatta, ricotta balls and Bruchetta...all excellent. I tasted the chicken and broccoli alfredo...excellent. Desserts, drinks, and service, all wonderful. Highly recommend.

   I made my reservation thru open table. Food was fantastic, Christy our waitress did a great job, wine and drinks were very good. The only issue,I requested a table for six near the windows but when we arrived there was another big party that had booked entire length of tables near the windows and we were seated in the middle of the dining room near the bar. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, the food and service are just great.

   First mistake was trying to sit us at the kitchen door when I had a reservation! Next I asked not to have anything in my martini glass and it came layered in chocolate. Instead of making a new one the bartender poured it in a new glass which still made the drink loaded with chocolate! At $16 that was unacceptable. I was very disappointed that the napkins were paper and so was the tablecloth over plastic! More disappointing was eating my $30 dish off plastic plates and drinking water from plastic cups! Given that my martini should not have been $16. If you are going to charge those prices then you need to level up the dishware and table setting. Food was very good

    we were the only table there. Waitress took our drink order and we ordered grilled octopus. Nowhere in the description of the dish did it mention melted cheese. When we said it the cheese in the dish should be on the menu, she said she could take it back and wash it off. What??? As a rule, Italian fish dishes never have cheese, but she told us the chef/owner was Italian and he knew what he was doing. Both of us had the exact same entree and they were plated differently and were mediocre. When my husband asked for coffee, we were told they don't serve regular coffee. The owner could have come to speak to us as there was nobody there. We were also charged for the inedible octopus. They still use paper napkins and at $50.00 per person check average, we expect way more. This was our third time there and it was not the charm! Poor experiences all three times

    The food was very delicious, the house wine was good. When we first arrived the hostess seated us near the kitchen but we asked to be moved and she allowed us to move. I would recommend this restaurant for good meal, good drinks and good ambience.

    PRICEY!! The waitstaff need training… they cleared the table before everyone was finished. They added up charges that were not listed! Extra charge for anchovies in a Caesar salad! Extra charge for a martini after $13 Bombay Safire they added $3 to make a martini. Food was good but menu was overcharged! Not going back so quickly!

    For the prices charged, we would expect cloth linens and to be offered shaved Parmesan for some of the dishes. We had to ask for S&P. Otherwise, we ordered a wide selection of dishes, and they were out of a couple of popular entrees early in the evening. Everything we had, was delicious and they were generous with the excellent bread and oil. A welcome addition to the neighborhood in an area ‘starved’ for good restaurants.

    Excellent, well-prepared dishes (crab cake appetizer, veal with wild mushrooms, and shrimp scampi). Attentive, efficient, helpful, and cheerful server. Outstanding bartender -- I ordered a "perfect" Manhattan and remarked to my wife that it was really light on the sweet vermouth. The bartender couldn't have heard what I said, as we were sitting at least 30 feet away, but I guess noticed that I had a look of surprise when I tasted the Manhattan. Within a minute or two, he was at our table and asked if maybe the vermouth proportions were a little off -- I suspect he realized that they were. He took back the drink, added some sweet vermouth and, in the end, mixed a truly great cocktail. Prices are appropriate. My wife and I have been looking for a quality Italian restaurant since we moved here four years ago and I think we just found it. A real find! And a real surprise in a Publix shopping center.

    Pasta was homemade, our server was beyond gracious. I recommend the trio so you can sample the chicken parm, the lasagna and the spaghetti. it was our first time dining there, its out by the Verandah, so a little drive from Gateway but worth it. Atmosphere was very casual so I am a big fan and it seems like a lot of locals dine here and for good reason, the food and service were superb. Great first experience.

    The restaurant is very pleasant, the staff is friendly and the service was very, very good. We liked our meal fairly well but we did not care for the Bolognese sauce--it was very acidic and harsh. We will come back but we won't order that again.

    Good food, large portions, service was spotty due to new waitress. Kind of pricey. Had the chicken parmesan, very good. Friends had scampi alfredo, very good, one had egg plant parmesan, decent, mom had spaghetti and meat balls, very good. Good food, new, just needs some polish. Much needed east of Ft. Myers. Bread very good - caprese salad not a good value at the moment. (Check with Bruno's for a great caprese.)
