From the time we were greeted at the entrance of the dining room to leaving D'Angelo's it was so wonderful that these few words cannot he enough. The wait staff, Velma, was exceptional and her helper from Croatia was wonderful also. The food OUTSTANDING. The only thing I would suggest is that they have Champagne flutes instead of the old type of Champagne glasses. The bubbles in the flutes cater to the bubbles in the Champagne and keep it fresh. Otherwise, we LOVED our time and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you, thank you all. I wish the owners would open a place in Tucson, AZ.

a friend and I dined at Casa D'Angelo last night and the food was excellent. We each ordered off the $75 4-course prix fixe - the dishes we thought outstanding were the carpaccio, the truffle risotto, the pasta caccio e pepe, and the suckling pig/maialino. The wine list comprehensive and good quality wines. The only thing that detracted from the evening was our waiter who had what we thought was a bad attitude.

Food 9/10- menu is superb, food was exceptional. Cocktails 10/10- my wife said the "cathedral" was the best cocktail she's ever had, and I had a couple, both of which were excellent. Ambiance 9/10- fun environment, good music, good noise level, felt like an event. Value for the prix fixe menu (av sun-thurs) 10/10 (75 for four courses); probably 7/10 for the regular menu; veal as a standalone entree was 80, foie gras I believe 38 as an app for example. Service 8/10- waiter was great, but a few occasions of feeling a bit rushed e.g. taking a glass away with a sip left, asking if we were done with a dish a couple separate times when we weren't. We were paid and out the door two hours after sitting for a four course menu so I don't feel like we were dawdling, but maybe we were. Definitely will become one of our "go to" spots.

Went in for prix fixe... Tremendous value... But, the food was excellent... I would think ala carte is excellent. Service abit off, but was busy.... Tim wine sommelier was top...extremely knowledgeable and approachable

We were very much looking forward to this restaurant, the food was mediocre at best. The sommelier did recommend a very good wine which complemented the dinner. Even though we opted for the prix fixe at $75 pp it was not a good value. Food with little or no flavor and very small portions owing to the prix fixe menu.

As visitors from Steamboat, we were treated with the same respect as locals. I think it helped that we were "dressed" for dinner, per an earlier review we had read. Eduardo " Ed," although very busy, with a number of tables, always checked, amost apologetically, about not being as attentive as we might expect. We were totally fine with this. Our sommelier was friendly and helpful. I was pleased they had a Piedmont Arneis wine on the menu. It was delightful. My Dover sole was lovely and my husband had a tasty pasta well prepared "al dente." It was the perfect dinner celebration for our 47th anniversary Thank you! Julie & John, Steamboat Springs. CO

Excellent Italian food made from scratch from fresh produce only. It was like being in Italy, even the portion sizes were rather Italian than American. As Europeans who have been to Italy very often the experience was like being back. Our server was outstandingly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, ambience was modern, stylish, yet warm. Loved being here. If you’re not afraid of Aspen prizes (hence only 4 stars for value) and are looking for an outstanding original Italian dining experience, then Casa D’Angelo is your place to go.

Our table was not ready when we arrived. 45 minutes late. Requested outside, but did not get till they moved us later. Loud inside, hard to talk. Once they put us outside, it was wonderful. They were VERY nice about it, but we did not even eat until 9:30. 1.5 hours after our reservation. Food was divine, and they gave us 2 free desserts (after I asked).

Phenomenal dining experience. Great food. Very comprehensive menu in this day when others have limited choices. Excellent attentive service. Not inexpensive, but food, service and ambiance worthy of the price. Will return on our next visit to Aspen.

Very nice table and very good service. Issue with quality of my wife’s entree was disappointing, especially given the price point; however, the waiter and manager resolved it very well. We will return since atmosphere, service and good generally was very good.
