The food, service and ambience were perfect! The sushi and sashimi were impeccable and authentic. They have a great selection of sake for all budgets and a fantastic wine and champagne list. I am a bit of a sushi and sake snob and M did not disappoint!

It was our 12th year Anniversary and this is the best Anniversary dinner we've had. We had their Nigiri Omakase at the bar. Chef coursed it very well throughout our dinner. Service wise, Hailey was our server and explained every details about the menu. We cannot wait to go back.

Our anniversary dinner at M Sushi was incredible! Service was amazing and everything on the menu was explained thoroughly! Our food was delicious and it came out so fast! Overall, it was one of the best food experiences we have had!

The food was fantastic- probably some of the best sushi I have had in the area. My only issue is if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours, they charge you $25 per person. That seems a bit steep because as everyone knows life happens and sometimes plans have to change. We had made reservations for friends that were coming to town and their plans changed so I called to cancel the morning of and was told I would be charged the cancellation fee so we ended up just finding others to go with. Just put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

Another fantastic dinner at M Sushi in Fenton. This time we left the kids and took some work associates. Everything was amazing and our folks in from Atlanta constantly remarked that there was nothing like M Sushi down there. They were well impressed. Can't wait to go back. In my opinion, I think M Sushi is definitely Michelin Star ready.

This is the best sushi in the Triangle, both the Fenton location and the Durham location. They use the highest quality fish, special lesser known varieties of fish, and the rice (shari) is always perfect - they even use a special brown rice vinegar that is very flavorful. I recommend the bara chirashi

This is a step up from many sushi restaurants. Rolls and Nigiri very creative, large portions and delicious. It is a bit expensive if you order a lot but worth it. We didn't try the Cary location two tasting menu offerings that have multiple courses for $150 or $64 (price may vary) per each person at the table. Place is not very large with one long row of booth seating and a long bar seating. The chairs are really uncomfortable; like sitting on a rock. The Fenton area where the Cary M is located is very upscale and comfortable area of stores and restaurants and a movie theater. Worth a visit in itself.

Love the location in Durham and wanted to check out this location as well. Total thumbs up in every category. Best and most creative sushi menu in the area by far. Lots of unique fish options, other dishes like the Crudo and have real 100% pure Wasabi root as an option (in addition to Kazami as another option) for your sashimi.

We had the Grand Omakase and it was absolutely amazing! It served the perfect amount of food so we left feeling quite full but not overly full. The small plates had the perfect amount of garnishes to balance the flavor palate. The uni was by far our favorite part!

M Sushi in Cary might be better than the location in Durham. Food is excellent, location is a bit larger, and the service is very attentive without interrupting your meal. Definitely will be returning!

I clicked the button that we were coming for a birthday. It was not mentioned by the host or the waitress, and nothing special was done. They sat us very close to the door (high traffic area) which was not a good place for anyone to sit. Too small - too noisy. I feel like there are other sushi restaurants that are a better value for that price.

M Sushi is an upscale sushi restaurant that offers a great ambience and unusual offerings to try. The fish was fresh and the choices were amazing. The vegetarian bento box was outstanding and provided a wonderful selection. The staff was courteous, helpful and the service was excellent. Definitely an excellent choice for sushi lovers!

Food and Service were great. Vinegar concept with Omakase reminded me of eating at Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo. Both mocktails we had were excellent, but more than two options would be nice. What I thought ‘cheapened’ the experience was charging $14 per person for real Wasabi. The closest comparison to M Sushis in the area was Yamazushi in Durham that closed earlier this year. They gave fresh grated wasabi included. Just up the price and include it.

Impeccable fish quality. The best sushi and Japanese cuisine in the area. Also if you’re an Eel fan- they smoke and grill it and it’s so tender and flaky and meaty- my god literally the best I’ve ever had. I love coming here and can’t wait to dine again.

Service was great. Ning Ning helped us navigate the menu and the protocols. :) We got the Nigiri Omakase at the sushi bar, and it was a delightful experience. Definitely recommend. A lovely special occasion atmosphere (and price). We will be back.

Beautiful and modern decor. We sat at the sushi bar and were warmly greeted. Every dish we had was expertly prepared and all of the ingredients were beautifully highlighted and showcased. We received wonderful service from Matty! We love going to the Durham location and are super excited that we now have another location to go to! We will be returning soon:)

The freshest fish I’ve ever had! This place is pricey but well worth it. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and explain each plate that they bring out. The space is rather small and the tables are close to others but the experience still managed to be intimate for my husband and I. We decided to get 3 small plates and three different maki rolls which were all amazing! If you are a sushi lover this place is a no brainer to check out.
