It was our first time at Carson's. I ordered the Salmon Sandwich and there was more bun then salmon. The salmon was good, I just took it off the bun. Another person ordered the Cowboy Ribeye. He said it was just o.k. and he would not get it again. My son ordered the filet medallions and he enjoyed it and my other son ordered a salad. The salads were very good. The rolls were good. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzel. Beer cheese and mustard excellent, pretzel's were not soft but it looks good on the serving tray! We ended with the bourbon ball ice cream and that was very good. Service was o.k.
Elegant dining experience with expertly crafted cocktails. Service was impeccable. The ambiance was upscale and eclectic. The food was perfectly prepared and plentiful. Great live music as well!
Very good food and excellent service
We were seated on the patio for Sunday brunch and it was delightful till the Jazz band started playing. It was deafening. We hurried up and left. I would not want to be seated outside when they play. Impossible to carry on a conversation. Food and service were fine. Portions large.
Stephanie was Outstanding, Knowledgeable and her recommendations were on point each and every time. Food was on time, served perfectly while our table was kept clean and our glasses were kept full. She was never far away yet remained distant at all the right times. The Cowboy Ribeye is easily a meal for two, don’t hesitate to try it. The bread pudding with banana is a must for everyone who enters. Carson’s Food and Drink is one of Lexington’s very best! Enjoy your visit.
Have never had a bad meal here. However, the grilled ham gruyer cheese was not even what I expected. If you are looking for a simple grilled sandwich, this is way over the top. I do love this restaurant and always have a great meal.
Love, love ,love Carson's. Reservations are required and never disappointed! Had red sangria and veggie scramble. Delish.
Amazing, my friends really enjoyed Brunch, it was their first experience of Carson’s!
Very good experience. Ambience and decor were very nice and unique. Brunch items were very tasty - grilled Brie, bread pudding French toast and grilled salmon Benedict. Would definitely eat there again.
Always a good meal. We had exceptional service from Iris. Love the atmosphere and food.
We love Carson’s. Only sort of complaint is that the servings are enormous!
Carson’s is a great restaurant with great food! I would highly recommend it. The biggest complaint I have and what many of my friends complain about is the servers tend to get orders incorrect at least 50% of the time. They may want to consider telling back a persons order to confirm.
Carson's has become a solid restaurant choice for us since they opened. Service is always very good, drink menu strong and food solid. Lots of good comfort food choices. My personal favorite is the ham and cheese sandwich.
Had a wonderful Sunday brunch. Our sever, Tyler, was oustanding. Noise level a little high, but the placed was packed! We’ll be back.
Haley is a fantastic server with amazing positive energy! Great time this afternoon.
Great service and food. Best brunch around!! Definitely will dine again.
Absolutely the best brunch in town! We can't wait to return to try more items on the menu. Great atmosphere, great service and exceptional food.
I have high standards when it comes to restaurant ambiance. Carson's has the best design I've seen in a very long time. It's the kind of place I'd go for anything. Food was creative, jazz trio was fantastic and the rain on the outdoor patio tin roof was tranquilizing. Will absolutely be back every time we are in town. Cons - staff is snobby, felt a little like being home in DC. A tweak on attitudes and it would be the perfect Lex dining experience.
The restaurant was so nice, and food was great. Absolutely I will come back.
A great choice for our anniversary dinner! We'll definitely be going back!
We came from Vermont to help our daughter set up her first apartment in Lexington. Carson's was recommended by her new coworkers. We had an excellent meal, the service was great and the bar lighting was amazing.
Always a good time at Carson’s. Excellent food, wine list, beer list and Bourbon.
We enjoy taking out of town friends to Carson's. I have never heard a complaint about the food or service. Go hungry!
My family wanted to try Carson’s for my wife’s 40th birthday dinner. Everyone was pleased by the great service, amazing food, and the great atmosphere!
All was great with the exception of flying insects (flies); NOT good for outdoor dining!!!
I had just heard about Carson's and wanted to try it at some point. This was a perfect time to celebrate a good friends Birthday. The food we tried was very good and the portions were huge. Could not finish it all so had to bring the remainder home. I was very pleased. I will come again. If there was one thing I would like to see addressed it would be the condition of the parking lot.
We love Carson’s . Service is outstanding. Food is excellent and plentiful
Awesome Sunday brunch!
Excellent food and ambiance! The salmon oscar and fried chicken are wonderful!
Celebrating a graduation, liked the ambience, food was very very good. Service was attentive.
Our server Joe was top notch! He made great recommendations and catered to what can be a high maintenance group:) Food was good, cocktails were even better.
I had heard many great things about this restaurant, they were right! It is a modern and attractive space and the menu has many appealing items. The service was quite good as well. Whatever you get for your meal, do not pass up the banana bourbon bread pudding for dessert. It is magnificent. Even my husband, who equates dessert with chocolate, thought it was one of the best things he had ever eaten. I can't wait to return!
Food, Atmosphere and Service are the best in Lexington. Awesome Bloody Mary’s.
Delicious food and the service was outstanding!! Great way to celebrate an anniversary! Thanks, Carson’s! We’ll be back!
My wife and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary here. We enjoyed the salmon Oscar. Good bottle of wine. Excellent service from Eric. And then Carson’s gave us champagne and dessert – for free! Excellent night out. We will return.
Here is the thing, obviously I had a reservation. I was there for a business lunch. The restaurant was 30% full at 1:00 and the host said it was going to be about 10 minutes. Absolutely plenty of servers walking around, so it wasn't a table or server issue. We almost left, but the options close by were slim and I also figured I stick around to see how this review was going to read. The food was good enough, salads are good, burger was too(skip the fries, they are completely covered in some concoction of salt and garlic), but the server was attentive. But first impressions are everything in life folks. And if my first impression is that the gentleman who was the host on 8/20/18, was purposefully making us wait 10 minutes when 70% of the tables were open in the restaurant.....that's going to be a lasting impression on me. Recommendation to the owner, I know people are hard to find in 2018, but your guy at the front made me not want to return. He wasn't rude, just snooty and unconcerned about making us wait when he absolutely didn't have to.
One of my favorite places in Lexington! Our server Stephanie was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond! The food did not disappoint as it never does!
Food was OK for the price. I had scallops atop grit cakes with Bearnaise sauce. The sauce was quite heavy for my liking with something like a scallop and there was A LOT of it. My husband had the sweet and spicy ribs. He was pleasantly surprised by them and enjoyed them quite a bit. Drinks were ok. I had a simple white wine. My husband had a gin and tonic (that was flat). Bourbon banana bread pudding was quite delicious. For the price I have other favorites I would choose over Carson's but it wasn't bad, just OK for us. Very cool and fun atmosphere and good parking for being downtown.
Seated right away. Took a long time for food to arrive. The food was barely warm and the Mac n cheese, I’m sorry to say, was less than room temp. We came in at the end of brunch but that’s no excuse. Waiter like polishing the drinking glasses more than seeing if our food was waiting to be severed. Previous visit was great. I like the food very much, so will it another chance.
Carson’s is always amazing.
