It was quiet tonight, very nice
We told the waitress we were seeing each other for the first time in months. We wanted to order leisurely. She kept interrupting us to see if we wanted anything. We felt rushed. Dishes were cleared by our waitress without asking if we were done. If our coffee or tea was low couldn’t she have come by and offered refills? Coffee was lukewarm, at best. Another lady, not our waitress, was wonderful and made our visit so much better. We thanked her for being so polite and helpful.
Honestly, don’t know if I will return. When visiting with friends and asking to be allowed to relax, I do not expect to be done with my meal in a little over an hour. The meal had me leaving angry, not satisfied.

Great food huge portions
great service. Food always tastes good. I particularly like to seat in their covered patio. It is heated, cozy, great natural light. In summer is wonderful too because they keep it with AC but you still feel the warmth of a summer day because of the natural light. Inside is also nice, but tends to be in the darker, lower light type of restaurant. I prefer more light.
But it is still nice for a drink or appetizers at night.
Great restaurant good foodWould recommend it and go back
Great experience. The manager Mr. Phil Gerardi is a real professional and excellent manager.
Food was very good along with generous portions. Dining area in the covered tent is less than desirable. Picnic chair style chairs are uncomfortable and the heat that is pumped into the area emits gas fumes, which always goes well with dinner
Excellent experience! This was my first time coming here and everything was great. I noted we were coming for anniversary and the first thing the waiter said was congratulations. From the impeccable service to the abundance of food, I would highly recommend.
Indicated that we were celebrating a birthday on opentable and there was no mention of it. Waiter was not friendly and barely came around.
Great food and service.
Food was excellent, service was not great, and it was extremely noisy. I would recommend based on the food alone but not the service or ambiance.
What a great dining experience! Sausage and peppers and panzanella salad. They added potatoes to the sausage and peppers, which is the way I make it, and it was perfect. Mark was attentive and great! Can't wait to go back.
It was great!
At the recommendation of our server, we ordered a seafood appetizer and entree and both were outstanding.
We completely understand that it was a busy weekend evening and that staff may be overwhelmed. Food was good.
We waited over 15 minutes for our check (with nothing on our table), and finally had to flag down a manager to get it.
With the amount of staff walking around, there shouldn’t have been any issues with service. The best service we received the entire night was from the busser.
Disappointed in this visit to Carmines - food seemed off and service was slow.
We had the eggplant rotolo with ricotta appetizer, seafood risotto and Valentine's day special ravioli, all very good. The chocolate mousse cake was enough to feed 4, it was huge & delicious. Definitely going back to Carmine's.
A really good dinner and a nice night. Yes busy, but Valentine's day dinners ARE busy. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. The hostesses did a great job of keeping track of walk-ins vs reservations. Our waiter Victor was fantastic. Friendly, courteous, and very professional on an extremely busy night. Lots of tables to care for, but didn't miss a thing with our orders. The seafood salad was incredible. Large salad and well mixed with calamari, octopus, shrimp, clams, etc. All you would expect.
There wasn't any parking and valet was full, luckily we were early. We finally found parking after 15min but then we Waited 20min even with a reservation to be seated. Food and service was very good.
When you want great Italian food with an energetic & great atmosphere, this is the place to go>>>>>>>>>>>>
All 3 dishes we ordered we’re missing ingredients based on the menu description. Our waitress was great. When I mentioned that the salad was missing olives she immediately brought a side plate to add.
Overpacked for Valentine’s Day. Waiter was totally overwhelmed. And it showed in service. But food was still good.
We were put in the outdoor part of restaurant but it was cozy. Server was rude from the beginning. We asked for butter but it took forever. Being away from main dining area we were last for service. Not enough servers. Two of us ordered the special seafood pasta and one dinner had raw shrimp. Manager came eventually and took food away. Didn’t apologize or offer anything else.not retro Carmine’s even not on a busy night. Not worth my time!!!
We were seated right away. Ordered drinks and appetizers and those were out in a matter of minutes. Perfect amount of time between appetizers and dinner. The food was outstanding. The homemade garlic knots are a must. Our waitress was great, best service we’ve ever had.
Valentine's weekend was overcrowded staff did excellent under the circumstances
Great experience and food was outstanding!
Table were too close to each other. Packed the house too tightly. Had to wait for servers to serve customers before you could get up to use the restroom. Overall not the best experience server was new made many mistakes including overcharging me won’t be going back.
Way toooo many tables! Couldn’t even get to the table to sit down! Waiters had a very difficult time bringing food to tables! Ended up leaving and going to eat at another restaurant! Almost completely ruined Valentines Day Dinner with my wife! I understand a business wanting to maximize profits. However, going out to dinner is supposed to be an positive and romantic experience. My experience at this restaurant was horrible they should be ashamed of how many tables they attempted to have in such a small area!I will never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone! 1st impression are everything and mine 1st time visiting was horrible!
Thanks all was good
Nice, but loud. not a lot of booths. Food was great.
Our Valentines date was ruined by the restaurants eagerness to capitalize on a holiday that should be about romance. Instead it was over crowded with super small tables. My wife had to put her purse on the ground because we were placed on makeshift tables that were tiny. Everyone around us was very upset because the were getting bumped into by the busboys and waiters. Food was good but all we talked about all night was how angry everyone was around us. All you could hear in the restaurant was complaints. Our waitress was amazing, her name was Kate and she made the night a little better i give her 10 stars out of 5. But the manager of the restaurant made a horrible decision to stuff so many people on tiny tables. I will never come there on a special occasion or a holiday again. I felt like a 2nd class citizen and you could tell that the people that were placed in booth were regulars and everyone else was fed to the dogs. For s $200 check for 2 this was by far one of the worst Valentines day experiences i have ever had. I think that the tiny tables were a joke as their portion sizes are huge and plates are oversized. We could not even fit our salad on those tables. They placed the tables so close together you could hear everyones conversations and going to the bathroom was a mission of navigating between tables and people bumping into everyone. Someone should get fired for this. This was my first experience at this restaurant and most likely my last even though i am local. Obviously they tried to cash in on the holiday which ruined the day for most of their customers.
It was Friday Valentines so I’ll cut them a little slack. Very crowded, we did get seated on time, waiter was very hurried. Cocktail took a while to receive, but was good when it arrived. Waiter was looking to take order ASAP, not giving us much time to enjoy our drink. Entre came out before the salad, sent back waited for salad and then entre was delivered again after sitting in a warming spot for 15 mins. Food was mediocre at best. Been here for drinks and apps and think I will limit to that
First time there and will it go back. It was Valentine’s Day and it appeared they added every table they might have had in storage and hastily arranged. They lost a potential future customer
We celebrated Valentines Day there with “dinner for two for $95”. Well... it was awful. It was dinner for 1 split in 2. Each person received 1 ravioli, split a plate with 3 near bite size “trio of filet” and 3 bite size pieces of sea bass accompanied by 1 stalk of broccoli. No sauces on top, just plain, boring and dry steak and fish. Dessert was s joke... heavily dyed red cake with cream similar to a Twinkie with old berries in side. Honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had!!!!!! Shame on Carmine’s!!!
Nothing short of amazing! Lauren was our server at the VERY busy 7 pm hour of a Friday night, Valentines evening and she made us feel like we were the most important customers of the night. Everything was wonderful!
I know it was a busy day, Valentine's day, but the place was not full, the waiter was very pushy as far as "are you ready to order", then when we did I don't think either had taken more than three drinks from our cocktails when the entree, I told the server(wasn't the waiter), that it was too fast, we had barely started our drinks, said sorry but didn't offer any other options. Then right after those plates were gone dessert was "pushed"......I realize busy night and they want many seatings but it was WAY too rushed.
Busy Valentine's Day crowd but wait staff was pleasant and timely and the food was excellent.
I was disappointed, on valentine I expected romantic dinner with smooth piano live music but was totally opposite no piano, music was way to fast like disco type, they overcharged me and make me feel embarrassed when I had to ask why in front of date. Food is good , and waiter was professional. But not sure if i will revisit just because of food.
Excellent food and service! Great ambience, timely food delivery. Staff friendly and accommodating!
