Good service , friendly staff , very good food .
Over rated under deliver. They are not in business to serve. Reservation mean nothing. Almost like going to Doctor office. They expect you to be there on time or early but don’t expect to be sit timely. Because they are always over sold and if you don’t have Italian connection forget about getting to sit timely per your reservation. Top of all they don’t even bring to you beer you order but they bring what ever. Food was okay it wasn’t spectacular. I would not go there again and not recommend for anybody unless you have Italian connection and if you are okay with “okay Italian food”. Act like Italian, talk like Italian, name like Italian it doesn’t mean cook and serve like Italian. Don’t waste your time and money for it.
The food at Carmine's is so so so good! We ordered misto, calamari, salads, pasta, and chicken. Every item was perfect! But wow, the service was so bad. We lost our waiter halfway through ordering drinks/apps - he had to do something at another table! It was 5 minutes, no exaggeration, before he returned. Three requests for our waiter so we could order our entrees. Finally a new waiter came by. No check-back, no water refills (despite several requests), no time for dessert, and three requests for the check. Chalk it up to an overbooked holiday weekend? I hope so! Because WOW do we love the food!
Besides our reservation didn’t matter, the waiter couldn’t of been more unfriendly. I’ve never before responded to is open table review, but thought maybe the restaurant management should know.
We secured our reservation for 12/15 (8) people 7:00 pm approx 1 month ago.
Checked in at 6:45 pm and waited in bar for others to show up. At 7:10 pm we let the front desk know everyone was ready to be seated. The next 50 minutes was absolutely the most unprofessional experience that the (8) of have gone through. We were told 4 different times in the bar they were seating someone and would be right back for our group. Then it was time to approach a manager and his song was even more unprofessional. This group frequents high end restaurants multiple times each month and has never seen anything like this at other places. Our server Dante was the only bright part of the night even though he was overwhelmed with no bus service the entire night at our table.
Rosemont has multiple high end restaurants to visit, so Carmine's will definitely will be removed from our list.
Waited 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation. The only party they could not find a table for.
The place looked great however once sat down it took forever and a day just to get some water delivered to the table. Our server was great but she was just busy with many other tables.
Food and service was great. Will definitely go back!
Good food, attentive service, good proximity to the theater but allow plenty of time to snake through retail and theater traffic to get to parking in time for a show
Calamari was way too greasy, Delmonico steak had too much breading and was totally greasy
Excellent food. Well run restaurant! Alwas on time with my reservation
Awesome place. Great food. Bit pricey.
Food was excellent, but NOISE level was a little much - but what can you expect on a Friday night and the holidays - we got used to the noise -
From the man in charge saying its5:43 and your reservation is at 5:45 when it was 5:50. Taking us to a table that was set for a large party then going back to find where to put us, and then going to another table that 4 ppl were walking to, I said I’ll take this table and sat down. No organization,to our drinks taking long, salad long, and dinner slow, went to mngr and said where is our food they knew we had a show they walked up to table and our food was finally being served , He said there it is and walked away. Asked for bread and water a few times and my side dish never came after telling our server 3times , the man in charge once and it never showed up. Needed bill as we had a show and there comment was “ we took it off the bill” well DUH. Of course u did we never got it. They did comp the dry pork chops and a almost complete round of drinks. But for that money... was not enough!! Not a very friendly place and not prepared. Did not get what we ordered a nice evening out b4 a show!
Front desk was a little out of sorts and hectic. Newer restaurant so just a few kinks to get worked out. Service and food were delicious..
The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 star is because it’s too pricey. But that being said I’ll be back. The food , service, and atmosphere are 5 star.
Very nice restaurant. However, it is very expensive for Italian food that is great, but not “out of this world.” I would recommend the experience, but be ready to pay for it.
There late on a Sunday night - food was good. Service was inattentive at best.
Came on a saturday night. Had to wait 15 minutes after my reservation. Food is below average and over priced. I ordered the ribbon Bolognese which is advertised on their website and the dish looked nothing like the picture. Would not go back
Tables are too close together. When my husband and I were seated we basically joined a family of 4 for dinner we were that close to them. Every time a waitress, the manager or a helper walked by our table they bumped my husbands chair. Not the most enjoyable when you are trying to enjoy a night out. Our table was wobbly so we had to try to weight it down so our drinks didn’t spill. When the waitress came over she knew we had been waiting a while. I asked if there were any specials. She said they didn’t offer any special holiday drinks. She didn’t even share with us the food specials. I didn’t know there were any food specials until a table behind us asked. Restaurant was so loud I had to almost yell to communicate. Not a place you want to go if your want to talk to your party. Food was good but It is pricey.
Seated then no one came to the table for at least 10 minutes.. they were very busy, but understaffed.
The worst, as the meal came the table next to us had a patron throwing her arms around & the plate of red sauce went flying all over my Mom! ( visiting from out of town) all over her clothes..in her hair.. omg you get the pic. I mean stuff happens, they tried to clean it up. The manager came over & took a round of drinks off our bill. That’s it. He was very nice, but Rosebud get it together!
My moms meal should have been comped to say the least...
And the table next to us, he knew they would be trouble from the get go.. and they did nothing
On good side.. food was good and we have a funny story to tell.
But do not go out of your way to go here..
Fantastic dining experience, from the food/ drink to the ambiance! Beautiful! I like to celebrate my birthday at Carmine’s every year and when I heard they opened one up in Rosemont I was SO happy. I dined there with friends last night..
WOW, from the host, server and the manager Jimmy went out of there way to make us feel special..
Professional and fun at the same time. Definitely will be returning...
We could tell this restaurant has only been open for 40 days. It just seemed disorganized. We had to wait even though we had a reservation, almost 30 minutes. Service was so SLOW and our server didn’t elaborate on the entrees at all. We asked for salt and pepper and it took him 20 minutes to find some— why not on table??We asked for the check as soon as our food was served. The food was fabulous which saved the evening!
Seated 1/2 hour after our reservation time. Terrible service waitress put in wrong order for 2 of our 4 orders. So had to wait for the orders to be corrected while the others ate. Very disappointed. Crowded, noisy, overbooked restaurant.
It I was good!
We went here to celebrate 3 birthdays. We had a reservation for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. It was very busy and we were sat at a table near the servers area so servers were constantly bumping into us. Other than that, the food and service was excellent!
The worst service, and the food was very mediocre bordering on bad : the Chilean sea bass was a disaster, prepared horribly and too salty. The brick chicken is WAY overpriced considering it is ala carte, and not tasty at all. Spaghetti and meatballs are extremely salty. The service was negligent, in a major way.
I was there for a Christmas dinner with friends. I was carrying a very heavy gift when the gentleman at the door ( I believe his name was Tino) saw my struggle & took the gift & showed me to my table.
Our waiter was well informed and patient with our group. Cocktails were generous & dinner a delight!!
It was a great dinner. Food was amazing
Found staff to be very helpful and attentive. Food was great wife and I plan to return. Need to use for special occasion as it is pricey.
Food was fantastic, however my order was wrong twice. I was finally told that I couldn't get what I wanted which was a fish sandwich and side salad.
Also the staff wasn't very versed on the menu options.
Restaurant was very crowded, noisy. Had to wait a long time for food...
Could hardly hear waiter,...
It will be my last time here
Sea bass was horrible, but the wine was great! I tried my sisters tortellini and it was exceptional! One of the best! Next time, I will order something different!
Great Italian food. I am as in from California visiting family and we tried the new Carmines in Rosemont. Ambiance was great but tables packed a little tight. Tasty appetizers. We had a dozen baked clams.(deliciousness but a little pricey.) and some calamari lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. We had several different pastas and each were very good. The carbonara is a little different. It’s made with cheese tortellini instead if the standard noodles. It was good but a bit overly rich. I should have asked for the standard noodles and would have been happier. My family raves about the other pastas. Overall bill fir the five of us including some wine and cocktails came to 350 with tip. Well worth it. Service was outstanding. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
A delightful restaurant near O'Hare. Pleasant ambiance, delicious food, friendly staff. A pleasure to dine their and I am glad to have discovered it. I will be back!
This night was amazing. From the food, to the ambience we enjoyed our entire night. If you come to this location ask for Joan to be your server. She is honestly the best ever in life!!!! We most definitely will return soon.
Perhaps the best Italian restaurant in the suburbs. Bravo.
Authentic Italian food! Only minus is it is noisy. Absolutely love the food. Big portions. Servers are very attentive. Everything home made.
The menue was basic and food overpriced. The starters were better than the meals. Do not reocmmend the risotto.
Service. Waiter and bus staff very good, food good however too many tables in middle of restruant take out one table so wait staff can move around and guests can get out.
