   Carmel is hands down the best restaurant in Los Angeles. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, and the ambience/atmosphere is one of a kind.

   Extremely expensive for what you get. The portions are small, the food was unique, but overall it was not worth the price. It was our first and last visit.

   Breath of fresh air if you are looking for Incredible food expérience. The menu is original. Fish & produce are highest quality Try the eggplant appetiser & all the crudos! Going tonight second time in a row and taking friends!

   The kind of spot that doesn’t scream for your attention—but once you’re in, you never want to leave. Clean lines, earthy textures, a soft breeze of olive oil and citrus hanging in the air. The vibe? Effortlessly cool, like a summer night somewhere along the Aegean coast, but with Wi-Fi. Service was dialed in—no pretense, just people who know their stuff and move like a well-rehearsed band. And the food… damn. “The Bread” appetizer fresh from a hot oven, steak kabobs so tender it might’ve whispered a goodbye, and dips that made you want to lick the plate when no one was watching. Modern Mediterranean, sure—but this was soul food disguised as fine dining. Make sure you stop on by, have a shot, and add this to a place you’ll want to revisit again and again.

   Favorite restaurant! If you have Henry has your server you’re in great hands! Drinks are amazing, food is perfection and ambience is on point!

   This is going to be a restaurant to go many more times as well as a restaurant to recommend to family and friends. It is good to know that they also serve brunch on Sundays. We loved the food and can’t wait to try more of the dishes in their menu. The eggplant brûlée was superb, so was their Moroccan Frena bread dish. We also tried the the read snapper schnitzel that many mentioned as a favorite and we could definitely taste why, but I specially loved the Jerusalem artichoke tortellini. You can tell that they work with ingredients of great quality and they know how best to cook them and enhance their flavor. Our server was this very friendly young woman that made you feel comfortable from the beginning. She was able to answer our question about the menu and drinks with knowledge and expertise. She was also great at mastering the times to check in for our satisfaction and needs without interrupting our conversation or invading our space. The ambience and decoration of the space is inviting and the music was at a nice volume that allowed for tranquil conversation without the need for anyone to raise their voice. The only thing I would request next time, Is to sit at a table with all chairs rather than the banquette. This is more of a personal preference because at my age the fluffy seats are not as comfortable and they are more difficult to get up from.

   This is my first time at Carmel , and everything about the experience was amazing. As an Arts District residence I am used to the high level of cuisine offered in the neighborhood like Bavel Camélia and Bestia and Carmel is certainly in the same class

    Fantastic service, delicious food and great atmosphere. A bit loud but as expected for a full and vibrant Saturday night. Amazing birthday dinner. Sitting at the counter was perfect.
