This certainly isn't the Carluccios of old. Used to love the experience and the food, but this was unfortunately no longer the case.

Dreadful. Food was terrible. Couldn’t eat it (and it’s pasta so hard to screw up) Service was atrocious. Took 1.5 hours to get our food. Restaurant was at most 30% capacity.

The lads at the restaurant were quite nice. Unfortunately, that did not make up for the low quality of food. We had high hopes, but basically everything we had was bland and flavorless.

We arrived at a quiet time sonprobably had a better than average experience but the food was great, staff were great and its reasonably priced

The restaurant was quiet but senior & junior staff appeared to be occupied with clearing or walking back & forth emptied handed. The junior staff received little direction from the person most senior. There was no checking with us that we had what we needed & so we needed to call over a waiting person to remind about drink order, ask for ketchup. Near then end a different senior staff member apologised for delay in main course although we were not aware there was a delay. We were kindly given a receipt stating 50% off another meal although not really sure why.

Staff are so friendly, food was delicious and the restaurant is clean and pretty too. Great location for pre show dinner as it’s right by the Corn Exchange and near the grand arcade for parking too.

Everything about this was ‘okay’. Nothing good, nothing bad. Just very, very average. I haven’t eaten at Carluccio’s for a very long time but thought this was a safe bet with two children with differing demands. It did not live up to my memory or expectations.
