A wonderful experience that is definitely worth investing a whole night for. The food was an amazing combination of local ingredients which words cannot do justice, further enhanced by the immaculate personalized service. Highly recommend the wine pairing, which was a series of delicious and sometimes pleasantly surprising combinations.

The Executive Chef Jacob Jasinki and the entire staff was so welcoming, which made the dinner and occasion so memorable! The execution and meticulous preparation of the food with intricate details of the storybook cuisine was so enjoyable from the first course to the last! I would certainly recommend Cara Restaurant at The Chandler in Newport, RI to anyone visiting or living in the area. I will certainly be anticipating my next visit to this fine dining establishment!

The tasting menu at Cara was phenomenal! The courses were each presented with a description of the origin and preparation of the selection. Wines pairing was excellent with the utmost perfect description by our server Shea. Throughout the evening he was matched in service excellence to the unbelievable entrees. We chose the early 5 course, with a few extra surprises, which allowed us a full dining experience. The settling and dining room is nicely distanced with beautiful table setting. At the end we’re greeted by our server and chefs, all of which deserved well done congratulatory THANK YOU. THANK YOU TO ALLFOR A TRUELY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

This is a must visit restaurant experience. The 8 course meal with wine pairings (extra) are worth every penny. The chef personally comes out to present each course and explains all that went into it and how it was made. He is extremely friendly and unpretentious and answers all of your questions. The food is worthy of a 3 star Michelin restaurant which Cara would be if Michelin scored New England restaurants. Every detail is attended to even down to the bread which the bread and pastry chef presents. This restaurant needs to be visited before Chef Kyle is recognized for his talents and is scarfed up by a bigger facility. We wholeheartedly loved every minute of this experience and rate it as good as and even better in some aspects (size of the number of tables, for example) than French Laundry, Alinea or Single Thread all of which we have visited. Good luck getting a reservation in the future!
